Led Colors CM12.1 vs CM13? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I am using Huawei Honor Holly, earlier I had a cm13 rom and used Charging Led app for displaying different Colors (cyan, magenta, white etc.) based on battery percentage. I am now using Minimal OS which is based on CM12.1 and now I only get the RGB Colors.
I've used other apps such as light flow, led xposed etc but still I get only three Colors.
Any way to fix it?

I figured out the two files which were responsible for this led thing (/system/lib/hw lights.default.so and lights.mt6582.so) found another cm12.1 rom and replaced these existing files and it worked like a charm.

[Q] Screen filter - Remove colors

Hi, I've been searching of many threads about screen filter but no application has convinced me.
I've got a S4 i-9505 running on Kit Kat and i find that the colors of Amoled display are so blinding.
I wonder you if there is an app or a mod who can remove the color, a sort of desaturation :
It would be great when you're using it in night. The app in question will show your display in white and black color only.
I don't want an app to adjust brightness or fix the color, but to remove the color.
Do you think it would be difficult to build it ? Did you think the battery will increase ?
If, this app already exists, did i have to root ?
Thank you.
yes, you MUST have root! and a kernel which is providing such a module to mod the calibration this way.. eg. with faux kernel it should be possible to reduce the color saturation so its almost only black and white

Notification LED color ?

Anyone else think notification LED on alpha doesn't show proper color ?
(Red,Green,Blue work fine but if I use something like yellow color look like greenish yellow; purple become blueish)
My previous device (Galaxy S3) doesn't have that kind of problem.

Notification led

Is there any way to configure the color and duration of notification led? i try using light manager pro and light flow... but nothing happen i mean the test inside these apps works but when i receive some real notification are the one from stock. Green led and 3 seconds delay :crying:
im on MM
Afaik nope.
I use light flow and it works really good.

seems to work on Lollipop
I use different colors settings from apps like whatsapp, aquamail,... and it works really good. I have no problem with different timing and different colors. I observed sometimes that it changes color if I have notifications from different apps.

Also i have light flow...and it manages the notification well...but the colors are wrong...for example orange it's red, or gold it's also red...it seems that purple or pink don't work at all...can you confirm? Or have you some settings that probably i'm missing?

Yes that is same for me, but I only use white, blue, red, green and that color is working correct.
When I should use yellow it's be red, so I chose a light blue instead of yellow.
Maybe honor 7 doesn't support all color.

Thanks for the quick answer mate.. The honor has an rgb led then it should handle all colors.. Maybe the problem it's lightflow.. I'm curious to know if someone who rooted the phone has installed light flow and how it works

I rooted my phone and tried the "root mode" in lightflow unfortunately nothing changes...
How to add notifications for facebook? twitter etc... I tried Light manager and it doesn't seem to work....
I have been testing which colours are supported by the Honor 7 with LED Tester and so far I managed to get these working:
- Yellow
- Orange (visible when charging but not reproduce-able with LED Tester)
- Green
- Baby Blue (Cyan)
- Dark Blue
- Pink (Magenta)
- Purple
- Red
- White
In Bluemail you can set a different LED colour for each account and green/red/cyan are working fine but for some reason all the yellows I pick turn out red or green. I've been testing with hex codes and it seems some hex codes get a different colour for some reason.
I wish we had an official list of what colours (hex codes) are supported by the LED. What would be even better if EMUI would get its own built-in LED manager with an option to set the blinking speed. I agree that 3 seconds is too long, especially since the LED is so deep in the grill and hard to spot.
Has anyone cracked this problem yet?
I came across one, a root app called led manager, as I recall it worked

Thanks a lot and now about how to change default white color of the background in apps, like SMS and all. It is a huge strain for eyes.
Any ideas?

I checked about theming and how to do it but again laziness, was wondering if there was a solution already available without me doing anything...
unfortunateli it is not easy to change the BG color.
As i know, sometimes it is possible to use dark themes to do that for you. But this only work if somebody have insert a color description for your app into this theme file!
Try this one -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p8/themes/theme-black-pyramid-emui-4-0-4-1-t3410407 to see how it work.
But in most cases, something other will get a wrong color.
You only can change colors using a special xml file in your app or in theme file (.hwt for Honor themes)

I actually just remembered, that in screen options, u can change the colour warmth/cold and if u change it to warm u will get a more yellowish BG, don't know if it's enough for u but give it a try

There is also blue if there is something wrong with ROM when you boot the phone. Lol.

Yes I forgot to mention lol.
But u can't control the led and get other color for notification.
Anyways I found that in MIUI we get all the colors and we can control the color of led also.

I'm confirming. I'm using Miui 8 for LeMax2 and there are around 7 colors to choose. All are working.
Yes, but miui is not stable and has no root.
Why cant we change it, even with root? That's just stupid.
Info: All colors are availible in Miui as other notification LEDs. Tried it with an notification app
Yes but in MIUI I'm facing strange problem that I can't close my 4G LTE data. Even I close it from settings or quick access data remains on.
Another thing is if I place or received video call via native dialer over vi-lte (video over LTE) both sim instantly restarts and call disconnects. Note other video calling app like Skype WhatsApp messenger etc uses your data to place video call but in video over LTE (my reliance Jio telecom operator supports it) it does not uses your data. Video calling via native dialer via your carrier LTE network in MIUI (Redmi , mi max etc devices) is working fine.

Anyway thanks.

Small Request for OnePlus (tm)

Dear OnePlus,
I love my OnePlus 6, and let it show. One little problem. I'm trying to get a "OnePlus-ish" stock theme, but I'm given these limited accent colors. Why isn't Red an option in the stock accents? Or possibly better, a color picker, so we can choose anything we want?
Sincerely,
A light in the dark
