hi,
I have a RN3 SD running MIUI 8 Global Stable.
Lately I have been experiencing a lot of battery drain after the latest update of MIUI 8 to 8.0.5.0.
Is anyone else facing a similar issue ... if so ... is there any way to get around this, other than waiting for another update from xiaomi.
Thank you
If you don't want to downgrade to previous version, I'd suggest you to wait for another update. I'm facing similar issue, but it's not that intense.
yes me too. plan to flash to CM14

Hi! I am suffering from wifi drops in cm13 (all roms I've tried).
Wifi drops every 2 minutes or 10 or more (recoverd to stock and it was all good, kitkat it was good).
Yeah I know it was a problem since the builds started, but now it is only to some of us. I changed modems (baseband) as some suggested but still no luck.
Is it that builders don't know about this, or they're not working on a fix, or is it still by cm13 fault.
Thanks in advance!
Known problem
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
this is a know CyanogenMod 13 problem. All ROMs based on CyanogenMod 13 have this problem.
This is an Android 6.0.1 problem. Please report the problem to google. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Hi guys,
I have a Redmi Note 4 MTK and this is the first time I will be using a custom ROM on this device. The reason I want to switch to a custom ROM is because I am facing huge battery drains overnight (approx. 40%~60%) with the stock MIUI ROM.
Between the EpicROM and Xiaomi EU ROM, which one is better and recommended?
Thanks!

I highly doubt that the stock ROM is responsible for such a high battery drain. Probably one of your apps is the reason.
Xiaomi EU ROMs are based on China Stable and China Developer ROMs. They remove some bloat ware (like most Google Apps) and some MIUI Apps which you can simply download from the PlayStore if needed.
Epic ROM is always based on Developer ROMs and has more Modifications/Tweaks.

Hmm, seems like EpicROM would be a better option for me then.
I still get the same battery drain overnight even after factory resetting the phone and not installing any apps. I think my battery issue is caused by the phone not entering deep sleep.
I've been having lots of issues with my model. I plan to upgrade to the new Redmi Note 5 Pro once it is launched in my country.
So I'll be getting my phone back from mi care after repair and they said everything will be wiped and the miui will be rolled back to default miui 9.6 as it was shipped. I mainly use my poco to play Pubg and the latest 10.3 miui was having a lot of bugs and the game was simply unplayable, now that I can go to 10.2 again, I just want to know if I can directly install miui 10.2.2 from the official recovery rom I found...Can I install it without unlocking the bootloader, from the mi updater settings, jumping from 8.1 oreo to miui 10.2.2? Is it completely fine or can it cause any damage? This is my first post ever and some help will be much much appreciated.
So after sticking with the pie update for a while. I cant help but be annoyed of the hiccups since pie. Is there any rom out there you guys can suggest for bug free and good battery life? I havent flashed anything on my tab s3 yet so I'm quite hesitant but willing to try custom roms. Or should I just revert back to oreo? Thanks!
i have Redmi 5 plus running on latest MIUI Global 11.0.2.0(OEGMIXM) and i have this touchscreen issue where it stop working for few sec. i see some thread say flashing a new ROM will fix this but that doesn't fix my problem and also i don't want to flash new ROM again. does this issue will fix if i buy a new touchscreen for this phone? or is there other fix for this?
Thanks
Flash china rom with my tweaks from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/xiaomi-redmi-note-5-5-plus-themes-apps-and-mod.7422/
