Hi,
I am using Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 with Android 5.0.2 and MIUI 8 (Global Stable) is installed on it. Before upgrading to MIUI 8 i had rooted my phone and installed TWRP recovery. However, after updating to MIUI 8 when i check its root status using Root Checker it says that "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device". I have tried all possible solutions to flash recovery but when i send "FASTBOOT BOOT RECOVERY.IMG" command it says "waiting for device" for always and nothing happens.
Please if ant body could advice me a solution. Kindly explain it in very simple and clear way because i have very little knowledge of these things and i am learning it these days. So please keep things simple for me.
Regards
Faisal

Hello.
My problem is this: I can't root my Honor 6 (H60-L04). I have Android 6.0 with EMUI 4.0. Build number is H60-L04C432B860. I have unlocked bootloader and i have installed TWRP recovery. I've been trying to root with Kingroot and etc. and they don't work for me. I have tried also flash SuperSu using TWRP, but when i reboot my phone, my phone get stuck at boot logo (I got fixed that from restoring nandroid backup). Please help me.
Thank you.
So, I kind of rooted my device using Kingo Root and it wasn't successful (I guess). So, in fastboot mode, I tried OEM unlock and it didn't work too; but anyway, I flashed TWRP recovery into my phone and through that I tried to install CM 13,14 custom ROMs which was completely unsuccessful. It doesn't allow me to install any ROM. And says that root privilege is lost. And now, all that I have access to is a phone stuck in bootloop and TWRP which doesn't allow me anything to do because apparently root access is lost. :crying:
I tried every method of flashing via YGDP tool and it is stuck at 'entering download mode'. I have installed different drivers over and again to fix as suggested by different threads but still, it's the same. [Windows 8.1] . And is there any other tool to flash this same stock ROM or better, can I get root access again in a bricked device and install a custom ROM any way?:fingers-crossed:
I also have access to ADB sideload via TWRP, so can I get stock ROM in .zip format. So far, I can only find it in .CPB format; maybe I can use .zip stock ROM via ADB sideload to flash it. Please help if any of this is possible.
*Apology for such a long question but I think you guys must know everything in order to provide me with a fix*
It's fixed.

Its fixed now, I assume it was because of the ROM file being downloaded through chrome in phone, I downloaded ROM and GApps in PC and flashed through TWRP and bam! Its back on:laugh:
TWRP - 2.4.4
ROM - Resurrection Remix 5.7.2
Thanks anyways!
Hi everyone!
Since I have installed EMUI 8 on my Mate 10 lite (RNE-L21) I can't enter stock recovery. Instead of opening recovery menu, it displays an error "system download failed"and a link which doesn't work. Anyone with the same issue, or possible solution (I'm lazy, I don't want to reinstall the update) ? I didn't root my phone and my bootloader it's locked. Thanks in advance.
I need to root my Oppo Reno 4 Lite (CPH2125) for termux but I cant find a way to do it. I tried to flash magisk through its stock recovery which has a flash option but I dont even know if that works as the one in twrp. And I have no idea how I can unlock my bootloader. I tried doing "fastboot flashing unlock" but that kept saying "waiting for any device" so I ended up here. Is there any way that I can root my phone?
Title.
After playing around with root and some custom ROMs i wanted to return to OOS, I had a few troubles doing that but eventually I succeeded.
I still wanted to have root access though so I tried going to flash TWRP, but was met by the message "serial_mismatch" followed by a system reboot.
This is persistent, regardless off physically trying to boot in to bootloader or through adb.
Fastbootd works, I can flash stuff with success but it seems like it doesn't actually flash since I can't boot into TWRP after flashing it in fastbootd.
I tried mtkclient, both on windows and on livedvd, my device gets found but on windows I get handshake failed until it ultimately reboots and on livedvd it gets stuck on "trying kamakiri2" endlessly.
Also, my safetynet check fails, even though I am on stock everything without root!
Any thoughts on what I can do here?
All help is greatly appreciated.
Hi there, what version of OxygenOS are you currently using?
Currently on 12.1 latest update (DN2013_11_C11). I tried the downgrade packages but as I can't access recovery or fastboot I can't downgrade either.
Please try this method: https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1596759 After downgrade you will have option to relock your phone and safetynet should pass. Let me know if it helped.
Thanks, already tried that but it fails to rollback as well
