JDI or LGD for your Mi 5? - Xiaomi Mi 5 Guides, News, & Discussion

So far I found out that there are two display panels are used for Mi 5.
I have JDI display. And the display calibration is warmer and have yellow tint(White is not pure, it is more yellowish).
Please post your display panel type and do you have yellow tint as well?
Find this on /proc/hwinfo. No root needed to check this one.

Mine's a JDI. Didn't notice any problem whatsoever.

JDI here too, no yellow tint here. It has colder colors than my PC monitor.

JDI FHD R63452 J1 CMD PANEL No problem with screen. Only problem is with responsivity on back button. Sometimes i need to touch few times on it.

Then type:
su
cat /proc/cmdline
display manufacturer is in the last line : mdss_dsi_jdi_fhd_r63452_cmd

I tried to do like you said but terminal android gives error

In-House Method (CIT)
Go to: Settings > About Phone > scroll down to "Kernel version" > tap on it 4 (or 5) times > you will enter the CIT program ... sorry the CIT app.
In the CIT (hardware tests) at number 2 of the list there is "Check version info". Click it and scroll to the end; the entry titled "LCM information" will tell you what display is mounted on the device.
mini-tech-note: this method works on the 6 (mm), not sure if on 7 (nugato) the CIT is there or somewhere else.

Check the display submenu>panel ID

I have LGE panel and pretty disappointed cos buttons work only 30-40 times on custom roms. On stock its all fine.
