Hi All,
Really annoying self inflicted problem, changed the swipe code, forgot it, google account ADM wont reset phone, no sequence of button pressing gets phone into recovery mode, USB debugging appears to be off. How can I save my phone??!??!?!?!? What sequence should I follow, what ROM should I install, need a step by step if at all possible, complete newbie!!1? Thanks in advance.

ok you are most likely on 20160810 where recovery does not work.
you are most likely on windows 10 as well. first lets find a rom where recovery works.
We can use 20160810 rom and wipe userdata partition..
Here is the download link https://mega.nz/#!ys4DTIxa!8rrL0aktVQ8W7Q4Et8fvQ8jk2tAxLZvJOJH48S9Vkyk .
Once you have finished downloading you should then extract it to a folder.
Next we need to prepare your computer for the flashing process by installing the correct drivers.
look in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-p9000/how-to/how-to-guideline-install-mtk-drivers-t3344042 scroll for your version of windows. follow the instructions and everything should work.
If you dont have add hardware option in windows then hit windows button and r and enter hdwwiz.exe.
now you have installed the drivers we need to download sp flash tools which is what we need to install the rom.
So go this website http://spflashtool.com/ now click on the first download link 'SPFlash Tool 5.1628' .
this will download a zip file. again extract it to a new folder. ok now you need to go in the flash tool and run flash_tool.exe by just clicking on it. now the software will load up.
You need to load the scatter file from the rom folder. The scatter file should be outside the encrypt folder and should be called MT6755_Android_scatter.txt . Now the rom should be loaded. You have some more options here, you can either untick all boxes and leave userdata (where your security and codes are stored) ticked or you can leave everything ticked which would flash the rom again. So once you have decided what option you have you need to turn your phone off. you then need to click download in flash tools and then connect your phone to the pc and hold the vol+ button. Then wait for it to flash, once the box with the tick opens you can close the program and restart your phone.
no recovery
there is no recovery in this build.........you have to flash one of your own.....
No recovery
Thank you, will start trying now and let you know.
Success!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/ele...nofficial-twrp-elephone-p9000-t3426678/page11 use a p9000 scatter file
Hi,
I have the same problem with my P9000 : Elephone_P9000_20160810, I even cannot install the last update 20170112 because the recovery mode is not working. but I use Linux mint on my laptop.
I already downloaded the Linux version of the flashing tool, give it a try but at the time of the flashing my laptop freeze. Scarred to death, I restarted my phone, no damage done, but now, after stay away from the idea the time to recover from my post traumatic syndrome disorder, I am ready to try again with the help of peoples knows what they are doing.
What are the points I have to be aware using Linux mint when I follow this tutorial.
Thanks for your time
New Recovery File
Need to use this one. I had the same problems https://redirect.viglink.com/?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_148541845062211&key=f0a7f91912ae2b52e0700f73990eb321&libId=iye3se1601000n4o000DA1jol7bnvwro0d&loc=https%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fsitesearch.php%3Fq%3Dp9000%2520twrp%2520unofficial&v=1&out=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Furl%3Fq%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Felephone-p9000%2Fdevelopment%2Frecovery-unofficial-twrp-elephone-p9000-t3426678%26sa%3DU%26ved%3D0ahUKEwiR2N_0rt_RAhUF5xoKHQaCAEUQFggEMAA%26client%3Dinternal-uds-cse%26usg%3DAFQjCNEDufTDo_BhHEYeYoUxe8gtq12xsw&title=General%20Search&txt=%5BRECOVERY%5D%20%3Cb%3EUnofficial%20TWRP%3C%2Fb%3E%20for%20Elephone%20%3Cb%3EP9000%3C%2Fb%3E%203.0.2-8
As someone who has done this a few times - and forgotten this vital step almost every time, just a reminder that when using SPFlash Tool - after you set up the scatter file, you click on download so that it is trying to communicate with the phone before you even plug the cable into the phone, then with your phone turned off you hold Vol+ as you plug in the cable. It should send the file almost instantly.

my device is china MT6572 with android 4.2.2
I have use a very very very superb tool named "MtkDroidTools v2.48" and bricked my newly purchage tablet.
1. I click on root and happy thing is that tablet got rooted. wow
2. I have created backup from this tool and after few minutes, many *.img backup files are created on my pc and my tab's sdcard. wow again
3. After restarting the tab it restarting again & again and not booting. really a "heart attacking wow".
I have tried following steps
1. In default "android stock recovery 3e" trying to restore backup files and got message "installation aborted" everytime. same message from using "adb sideload command"
2. creating a scatter file from this tool and load backup in "SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1343.01" tool. but no any tool connect my tab. it says no device.
3. only "adb sideload" from stock recovery has the way to connect to the pc. but I don't know which kind of files are used at there??
During the backup process a log file created by MtkDroidTools has attached for details information.
then plz tell me. what I do for get again a "relaxed wow"??
Load scatter file and back up files in SP Flash tool. Power your tablet off, hit download button in SP Flash tool then connect tab to pc.
If you have the preloader driver installed SP flash tool should connect and start flashing firmware to phone. Do you hear the connecting sound when you connect powered off tablet to pc? If not, you may need to press and hold Vol Down, Vol up, or menu button while connecting tab to pc.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Ok, no need to hit a combo of buttons, only 1 button you need to press while connecting tab to PC. Please retry following the directions from my last post again
Yes, preloader will only show for a few seconds in device manager before it turns off. Preloader is only for reflashing firmware. When it enables itself, it is looking for the SP FT (or other firmware flashing programs) to be there to catch it, if not preloader shuts itself off.. Your download of SP Flash Tool should have included the needed preloader drivers. Then you load files in SP FT and hit download button then connect tab to PC.

Thank you very very very very much. Finally I have got a wow.
After many efforts, I resolved the tablet booting issue. It is possible due to only your valuable suggestion.
steps are here:
1. connect tab to pc & installing preloader usb drivers.
2. getting VID & PID of tablet usb connection.
3. modifying "SP FT settings files" with new values of my tab.
4. creating a scatter file from droid tool & load in SP FT.
5. Flashing backup to the tab successfully.
You are such a genius. I have been wasted a lot of time since a week for getting the right answer. During this period I had connected to many android experts at many sites. but no satisfaction answer.
And u are really amazing. You have got the real problem in only three conversation. really great.
Well I m a windows expert. If u feel any technical problem regarding servers or windows, ask me, I will try my best.
I am launching a website soon named "GeniusPepoleofWorld.com". Many technical experts & genius people will listed there in different categories like Android experts, Windows experts, Linux Experts, Robotics Experts, Electronics xtra xtra. I want to add you at top there in Android Expert list. Now site is under constructions. I want to know your name & personal mail-id like gmail etc. When I will finish my site, I will inform you.
One more thing I want to know that "what is the use of stock recovery & adb sideload, which files types are used with it?"
Plz plz reply this with your name and mail-id.
Thanks a lot again

I am happy to hear it worked for you. Nice job Raj! I am just passing on the knowledge I learned here on XDA (Thank @rua1 he made MTK DroidTools and without that tool alot of folks with MTK devices wouldn't have root, stock firmware back up files, or working recovery
Anyhow, as for your last 2 questions. Stock recovery is used for flashing officially signed update files from your device manufacturer (If they were to make an update that is lol) This is how all android devices are able to accept ota updates, they download the file to phone/tablet then reboot into recovery and then it flashes the downloaded file to the device.
Adb sideload allows you to connect the device to a PC and then upload a firmware file to device to be flashed via recovery instead of downloading it directly to the phone. This is useful if you had an officially signed stock firmware file for your device stored on your pc. Some custom recoveries also allow you to use adb sideload but since you have stock recovery you would be restricted to using only officially signed files.
Say for instance you were not able to get your device to boot properly, you would just need to boot tablet into recovery mode and then choose adb sideload. At this point you would connect tab to PC and then put your firmware file in the same folder you have adb.exe in. (Let's call the firmware file "firmware.zip" in this example) Then open command prompt in same folder that adb.exe is in and type "adb sideload firmware.zip" this would push the firmware.zip file to the device then flash it for you.
Since you were able to use MTK Droidtools to get root then make a back up, you should be able to also use it to make a custom recovery for your device too. When you made the back up, it will usually make 2 back ups, one on your pc that you use SP FT to flash files and restore your device then it also makes a back up on your devices sd card that is flashed through custom recovery to restore your device. This would make restoring your device pretty easy if you need to do so again and it will also allow you to restore without needing a PC to do it.
Hope this helps!

I've got the exact same problem with my phone... My phone, Celkon A15 (Indian brand) also has the same chipset number and while trying to root using MTKdroids tool, I have managed to get it in the boot looping stage.
I'm just curious on how you managed to get the pre-loader installed for this? I CAN NOT get the SP Flash tools to detect my phone for the life of me. Also, when I load my scatter file, it has the "PRELOADER" section in RED... and when I try to upload the preloader.bin from my backup files, it says... "Load file "*path name*" fail!"
I am still struggling to understand how the SP Flash tool works and if it would be able to get my phone alive again (well it did help you out, so I am bit optimistic).
Please HELP!

Hi
1. First you have connect your device to pc.
2. you have to open the device manager and keep your eyes on a new hardware found at device manager, when you start up your device.
3. Preloader will only show for a few seconds in device manager before it turns off.
3. install preloader drivers.
4. open SP Flash tool and load scatter file and set path for your backup files.
5. Click download button and reboot your device.
6. Software will catch your device and finally backup will be restored to your device.

Hi all!!
This is for all the people who managed to softbrick (or hardbrick) their Lenovo Tab 3 8' (TB3-850F) tablets!
All you will need link, at the end of the post. I don't know for how long it will be up, but you can use it for now.
By the way.... Should you find something useful here... please hit the thanks button in the end
A. Unbrick
This requires flashing a clean stock rom. You will need:
a. stock rom for the TB3-850F (Google is you friend )
b. Sp Flashtool (you can download from their official site). From there, also download the MediaTek USB VCOM drivers and Driver Auto Installer v1.1236.00 (or any latest version).
Steps:
1. Install the windows drivers you downloaded
Note : If you encounter problems installing Windows drivers in Windows 10, google how to install unsigned drivers in Win10
2. Open the folder you extracted SP Flashtool and run it as administrator.
3. Unzip the rom file you downloaded.
4. Inside the folder of your unzipped rom file, look for a file similar to XXXXXXXXXX_scatter_file.txt
5. Load this in the SP Flashtool (click downlad tab, then scatter loading, load this file in there. It should load your rom you will see some colours, etc...
The tricky part:
Assuming you have correctly installed the drivers:
1. turn off the device (well if bricked it is turned off all ready) just make sure, and in SP Flashtool click options and 'with battery'.
2. Click the green download button on SP Flashtool.
3. Hold down the Vol down key on your device and connect it to a usb port.
4. If you see a red line and continue to yellow, all is probably good! Don't let go of the vol - button until yellow line reaches 100%
B. Root and TWRP recovery
This requires that you have or download:
a. platform tools (adb and fastboot)
b. a twrp.img (image file) for the lenovo TB3-850F copied to external SD Card and platform tools folder (google is... useful )
c. latest supersu.zip (flashable) copied to an external SD CARD
d. busybox.apk
Steps:
1. Grab tablet, go to settings ---> about tablet ---> click version number 7 times to enable developer options
2. From settings again click developer options and enable OEM Unlocking and usb debugging
3. Navigate in the platform tools folder. While holding SHIFT right click and select open commandline here (or similar)
4. Connect tablet to PC and in the command line issue: adb devices
If a weird number shows up and says device on the left you are all good to continue.
5. Now on the command prompt again issue: adb reboot bootloader
Your tablet should now reboot to fastboot (big Android, laying down)
6. Issue command: fastboot oem unlock (also check tablet screen for confirmation)
Wait a little bit and reboot your tablet. (should work with holding the power key down for a little longer than 10 seconds. If not hold down volume key and power button for the same amount of time - tested and working)
**At this point it is ESSENTIAL to leave the tablet to fully boot. The bootloader unlock triggers a FACTORY RESET which you must leave to complete and set up your tablet from the beginning.
** It is also ESSENTIAL to complete the boot and set up cycle because, after the automatic factory reset you will need to RE-ENABLE developer options and usb debugging. Once you are done continue to 7.
7. In the platform tools folder copy the twrp.img (you should have downloaded earlier, check upwards... )
8. Open the command line again and type:
a. adb reboot bootloader
b. fastboot boot twrp.img
** This will load up TWRP recovery only for this boot time.
****BE EXTRA CAUTIUS TO -NOT- ALLOW twrp to make modifications. Essential! Should you do otherwise go back to how to unbrick your tablet.
9. Choose install, and install supersu.zip.
10. Choose reboot to system and allow complete boot cycle! Essential!
11. Your tablet should now be rooted. However to succesfully flash the twrp recovery you need to have Busybox installed. Download as .apk and install it (at the time of writing this I believe Busybox 54 is the latest version).
12. Once installed back to the windows terminal and issue:
a. adb reboot bootloader
b. fastboot boot twrp.img
ONCE AGAIN - DO -NOT- ALLOW twrp to make modifications!!!!!
13. From you external SD Card install twrp.img, select recovery when prompted.
14. Reboot to system and enjoy!!!!
Note : Install an app that makes it easy to boot to recovery. (I personally use root essentials - Trying the combination keys did nothing for me, or just poped up the chinese options menu. That does not mean the recovery has not been installed correctly. Booting to recovery from rootessential menu, boots straight to twrp)
All you will need and credits:

Results:
(it is in Greek, but you get the idea )
Hope I have helped! Happy playing with the commands and whole process! :good:
Lastly, if you get stuck at any point, you can either use this thread or PM me for further advice, explanation and/or any kind of assistance.
Note: Special thanks to @MotoJunkie01 for actually taking the time to further help people on this thread, as unfortunately I do not currently have the time to do so myself. It is worth checking out @MotoJunkie01 's threads also. There, you can find very useful and updated information.

****BE EXTRA CAUTIUS TO -NOT- ALLOW twrp to make modifications. Essential! Should you do otherwise go back to how to unbrick your tablet.
9. Choose install, and install supersu.zip.
10.Choose reboot to system and allow complete boot cycle! Essential!
11.Your tablet should now be rooted. However to succesfully flash the twrp recovery you need to have Busybox installed. Download as .apk and install it (at the time of writing this I believe Busybox 54 is the latest version.
12.Once installed back to the windows terminal and issue:
a.adb reboot bootloader
b.fastboot boot twrp.img
ONCE AGAIN - DO -NOT- ALLOW twrp to make modifications!!!!!
13. From you external SD Card install twrp.img, select recovery when prompted.
14. Reboot to system and enjoy!!!!
Note 1: Install an app that makes it easy to boot to recovery. (I personally use root essentials - Trying the combination keys did nothing for me, or just poped up the chinese options menu. That does not mean the recovery has not been installed correctly. Booting to recovery from rootessential menu, boots straight to twrp)
Note 2: If you encounter problems installing Windows drivers in Windows 10, google how to install unsigned drivers in Win10
I apologize for not being able to post links, but I believe the required software is not particularly hard to find.
Hope I have helped! Happy playing with the commands and whole process! I will continue to help as much as I can :good:

Good guide. This tablet has temperamental steps involved with custom recovery and root. This guide gives a good outline of those steps. Here is a link to my thread for Stock Android 6.0 firmware for this tablet for members who need a stock ROM.

Thank you for the encouragement. I am in hopes that we can eventually get a dedicated device forum for the tb3-850f. I truly believe this tablet has the potential for plenty of future development.
@r&xp I love you so much, I was in the same predicament as you and you helped get my tablet running again. Just wanted to mention, I had to hold volume down when plugging in the USB for the SPFT step instead of volume up. THANK YOU AGAAAAAAAAAAIN <3

Thanks for the comment!!! :silly:
Glad it worked for you. Isn' t it like a really good feeling when you actually see your bricked device boot correctly for the first time after you had almost deemed it unusable???
(also... a... small request... could you please click on that thingy... you know... that ehhh... thanks button???:angel:)
Just an update, since damaging my TB3-850F, I have since ordered another unit from Office Depot which is due to be delivered Monday or Tuesday. Once it arrives, I'll finish my TWRP flashable stock 6.0 ROM for this device and start back on the modified stock ROM.

Looking forward to it. I picked mine up from walmart just yesterday for using as a google maps/car media center
My Lenovo Tab 3 replacement finally arrived in the mail. I'll be picking up where I left off on compiling both unmodified stock and custom stock-based ROMs for this tablet.
On my modified stock based ROM, I'm considering the implementation of Substratum (Root Ver) for theming, but I would like to get the input of other device owners first. So far, I have debloated, deodexed and zipaligned the OS. I am including the modified/patched boot image with SuperSU v2.79 SR3 binaries installed for systemless root, Nova Launcher, Pixel Icon Pack, BusyBox v1.26.2 binaries pre-injected in /su/xbin/, and Kernel Adiutor-Mod installed in /system/apps/ for user defined adjustments to the stock kernel and governors.
You guys please give me input on what you would like included in the ROM. Thanks

Try again to get TWRP installed to your /recovery partition or, alternatively, try to simply boot into TWRP from fastboot with the fastboot boot twrp.img command. It is common for members to experience some difficulty in installing custom recovery on this device. It has been my experience that most members are successful the second time around.
Thanks MotorJunkie!! But mine after was saved from brick from this thread, i was rooted it also by your instructions from other thread.. Now the gps from GoogleMap doesn't determine the location (even the location already turned on ) ... Plus i couldn't check the systemupdate ( it says connection network failed even i was connecting to wifi already) ...
What should i do, or do you know how to fix it?

System updates (OTAs) won't install on rooted operating systems. To install an OTA, you must have unmodified stock /boot, /system, and /recovery partitions installed. On the GPS issue, go to Settings, Apps, and ensure Google Maps has been granted location access permission.
Hi ...
I followed this guide but during the unbricking' I unplugged the device from USB (since I could not see any input on device or indication in SP Flash Tool).
Now the device will not turn on at all (previously I would see the Lenovo Logo splash screen but then it would just stay at this screen. Now i do not see anything).
When I plug into computer by USB, it causes my computer to freeze up (Windows 10).
Any ideas or is this now completely bricked? (hard bricked).

It sounds like a hard brick. I can't speak for the OP, @r&xp on this, so you may want to get his advice. Have you tried the OP's methods of using your hardware buttons for forcing the device into adb/fastboot recognition? I think this is your only chance of recovering it. By it not powering on, from my experience, a bootloader or bootloader dependent partition has been corrupted, thus hard bricking the tablet.

Hello, I'll weigh in on this one. There are multiple threads above the TB3-850F on this forum and also another forum.
I initially followed a different thread and instructions which caused my problem. Notably do not allow TWRP write access !!! This mistake caused the soft-brick.
Anyone following any other advice about TB3-850F or downloading any other image BEWARe. Only follow the advice in this thread by r&xp:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/lenovo-tab-3-8-tb3-850f-unbrick-root-t3598727
Following this advice I now restored original image and then rooted in just a few hours.. Thank you r&xp for the good advice.
Hi.
I wrote problems with my wife's P9000 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72990392&postcount=14
And yes: no solution works. And either there is no stock recovery or this device can't find them.
I offer 50 Euro for help. My goal: to install custom recovery (most TWRP), install custom ROM (some stable version of Marshmallow) and root it.
I tried about 6 hours and I have had enough.
Except that I will be appreciate.

One of the official ota p9000 updates has a corrupt recovery. This is why you can't get into the recovery and why the official update fails all the time. (I think).
About the flashing part with sp flashtools. You need to install those mtk drivers with the driver signature turned off in Windows. Otherwise those drivers can not be installed on you pc and flashing your phone can't be done. Just search Google for how to disable driver signature for your Windows version.
About the part of making a scatter file. You do not need to make a scatter file. It is included in Roms that have a scatter file with them (the roms that are ment to be flashed with sp flashtools).
If you want to flash a custom recovery with sp flashtools. You load the scatter file of a stock ROM and make sure, in the download screen of sp flashtools, the location points to the custom recovery .img file. And make sure there is a check mark on the left of the row for the recovery. Otherwise sp flashtools will simply skip that part with flashing.
If you want to install a custom ROM without spflashtool. You need a custom recovery and flash it via the recovery.
I hope I helped you enough. Because this how it works for me every time on every mtk phone (that I owned). I do not want your €50

Hi, Just a couple of questions.
When did you get the P9000?
What version of Windows?
Things to download
I recommend you install the 20170112 (store on computer)here
Extract the RAR file, it is contained in a folder, no need to extract in a new folder.
Super SU root (store on phone, SD card preferred) here
And TWRP 3.0.2-8 from Jonny (store on computer)here
Go to Device Manager.
View - Show Hidden Devices
If you see MTK Preloader VCOM
or MTK USB Device, that's good. More MTK xxxxx the better.
Open SP Flash Tool
Load the scatter file from the load button. 3rd row down. Go to the Extracted RAR file and select MT6755_Scatter.txt.
Then press the recovery file location name (C: USER ........ recovery.img) and navigate to the
TWRP 3.0.2-8.img and select that.
Now Press the Download (green down arrow) button and then use the stock cable and connect to a USB 2.0 port, then while pressing the volume up button, on the P9000, connect the phone to the other end of the cable.
A Red bar down the bottom saying Download DA 100% should appear and then a yellow bar and some percentage, which will take 5 or so minutes to go all yellow then a big green tick on a pop up should appear and it's done!
Then go to recovery which is Volume Up and Power at the same time untill the ELE logo appears. When it appears release the buttons. Swipe the allow modifications and then press the install button, navigate to the SuperSu.zip by Select storage if you have an SD CARD, otherwise it will probably be in the Download folder. Swipe to install, wipe cache and dalvik, swipe and reboot system. Hope that works any questions just ask. Sincerely, X

Your instructions was very, very good but a little bit general for me. I lost myself in Your shortcuts (device on/off, connected/disconnected). But when I finished, I see You wrote everything.
So thank You very much. You helped me very much, You showed me the instruction I didn't find before.

You are the NINJA!
Thank You! Thanks to You I installed TWRP. Rest is easier.
You show me to install ANY MTK device and P9000 can be on. And You show me precisely that I should change the destination point for TWRP (so not default but the .img file).
And that was important for me. And thanks to You I did it.
Thank You.
Please write to me in private message Your account number or PayPal.
Thank You again.

No problem. I'll PM my PayPal soon. Thanks!
Hello everyone! This is my first post, I'm very very new here If I somehow missed a rule or two and shouldn't have posted here or etc DO TELL ME, Im open to anything and I appreciate it! To the point, I won't stretch the topic, I'll tell you how I rooted my Gionee x1 device, and the problems I faced and their solutions. You may ask yourselves or just come reply here, Who even owns that device, Well I own one and I wasn't able to root this device it was hard, so for the other mates out their having bought this piece of brick.
and, there's a reason to why Im writing this topic, do read to the end.
So, to start I first of all researched alot both on google and xda forums for any way of doing it, most of which either didn't work or were not supporting my device(f.e. One Click Root Methods didn't work at all).
1. This post has a reply by ZedLens, which is awesome but to my surprise it didn't work for me.
2. This post BusinessKid is a great tutorial for any MTK Device, but the 3rd step of "The Download Stuff:" I couldn't find the scatter for my device.
3. I've a strict download limit for my internet, so I couldn't download the Stock ROM, so I somehow had to extract it from my device, which I failed why? MTK Droid Tool wasn't able to recognize my device. I diagnosed for all possible reasons for this, bad USB check, bad device port check, wrong process check nothing worked, so at the end of the day I somehow managed to download the Stock ROM of Gionee X1 and EVERYONE HAS TO DO IT IN THE END, you'll really need it anyhow.
Now the rooting process,
Tools/Stuff I used:
1. SP Flash Tool(This thing here, is like your hand during examination)
2. MTK Drivers(Important)
3. Stock Gionee X1 ROM
4. Magisk Manager App
I'll attach the Magisk Patched boot.img here along with the scatter so that you can directly flash the boot img instead of wasting time to download the stock rom and etc etc. also you can reply down here if you need any other file, I'll send it to you somehow :3
NOTE: All the images, links, tools, programs and everything belong to their respective owners!! Everything you are doing with the steps above are STIRCTLY your responsibility, if you do it wrong and brick your device you can't charge me for bricking your device, only you and you will be held responsible for any damage/sucess/etc to your device.
Steps to install:
1. Get Stock boot img
2. Install Magisk Manager (DON'T DOWNLOAD IT FROM ANYWHERE use TopJohnWu's Github)
3. Somehow get the Stock boot img into your Internal Storage or anywhere, where Magisk Manager can find and Patch it, Use adb push, connect usb and copy it to the Internal Storage, ANYHOW.
4. After copying, Open Magisk Manager, you'll find two things on the main screen, one is Magisk which has status infos such as (Installed: ), (SAR: ), (A/B: ) and (RAMDISK: ). Within the same square which contains those status info you'll find a Install click on it.
4.1. After clicking on install you'll get a new menu, select next in the Options Square ignoring the choices there(Preserve AVB 2.0 blah blah) and click Next. Now you'll be in the Methods Square here, you select "Select and Patch a File", now locate to the Image and after successfully locating and selecting it click on Let's Go on the right cornor.
4.2. If your image is patched successfully your log in front of you will look something like this:
- Device platform: armeabi-v7a
- Installing: 23.0 (23000)
- Copying image to cache
- Boot image is signed with AVB 1.0
- Unpacking boot image
- Checking ramdisk status
- Stock boot image detected
- Patching ramdisk
- Repacking boot image
- Signing boot image with verity keys
****************************
Output file is written to
/storage/emulated/0/Download/magisk_patched-buildno_abcde.img
****************************
- All done!
Click to collapse
4.3. You have your patched boot image!!
5. Now get the patched image back to your pc -.-
6. Prepare yourself to focus, Im not responsible for your bricked device!
7. Goto This XDA Post for Tutorial and Information about SP Flash Tool, MTK Drivers ADB Drivers, etc etc.
8. Download and Install MTK Drivers(Link Credit: Bovirus' this post)
1. You'll find a exe, just execute it and it'll be installed automatically.
Click to collapse
9. Download and open SP Flash Tool and select Scatter-loading file.
10. Now After you've selected the scatter loading file you'll find there are various selections in front of you, Preloader, lk, boot, recovery and etc etc
10.1. DESELECT or UNSELECT (OR WHATEVER YOU CALL IT) every selection other than boot.
10.2. In the row of boot/bootimg, (remember the patched boot image?) click on LOCATION you'll get a explorer window to locate to the patched boot image, locate and select it. In the last it should look something like this:
https://imgur.com/a/WMbTTAC
10.3. Click on Download in SP Flash Tool and connect the device, see next step.
11. Power Off the device and Remove the battery(See 3. in Issues I faced).
12. Now while pressing the Volume UP and Down Button together, connect the M-USB to your device port. I can't explain this but, firstly connect the USB cable to your pc then to your device haha.
13. You'll hear the device connected sound of Windows(If windows user) and the flashing will start
14. Reboot to OS and Voila! Check your Magisk Manager, your device is now rooted! Do remember to install the Magisk App just below the Magisk Root Check!
Now, issues I faced:
1. Device wasn't connecting to the SP Flash Tool, I reinstalled the MTK Drivers but it didn't do any change.
2. FastBoot flashing didn't work, I opted for SP Flash Tool later.
3. Device was starting into Factory mode and/or Recovery mode whenever I pressed Volume UP/Down and then connecting the device through USB, removable battery came to my rescue. Removed the battery, pressed both volume Up and Down button and then connected the USB.
NOTE: Again, all the images, links, tools, programs and everything belong to their respective owners!! Everything you are doing with the steps above are STIRCTLY your responsibility, if you do it wrong and brick your device you can't charge me for bricking your device, only you and you will be held responsible for any damage/success/etc to your device.
Links for boot.img and scatter file: Here is the MediaFire link, I've scanned the files with my Quick Heal Total Security I'm not those multidadoffspring who likes to spread virus/malware etc. and Here is the VirusTotal Link.
Feel free to tell me my errors and mark how can I improve, I appreciate it
And also, if you need any other file from the Stock ROM of the same device, do tell me here or DM at my insta: heartwastaken
Sorry for my bad English.
Thank you!!
Have a great Day

This is a last ditch effort to restore your phone to working order. This should only be used if your phone DOES NOT BOOT AT ALL or if you are unable to boot into FASTBOOT.
If you can boot into Fastboot mode then I would encourage you to flash using Mi Flash tool.

Tools Needed:
MTK Bypass Tool
SP Flash Tools
Fastboot ROM ( Around 3GB Download)
PC and USB cable
Download files here:
Tested! Howto Unbrick Redmi 9C (angelica) without using auth account
This blog has move and will not be update again. For new update please open ▶▶
langithitam.wordpress.com
First you need to extract the MTK bypass tool which is crucial as it will allow us to flash without requiring Auth file. NOTE: you need to disable antivirus or it will delete file.
Your PHONE NEEDS TO BE OFF! There is no need to unplug battery from the phone, I tested it myself and as long as the phone is OFF it'll still work. If your phone cannot power down due to bootloop, then you must remove backcover and unplug battery or just wait till battery runs out.
Once you have started the MTK bypass tool, choose MTK6765 from option that says auto and this is only for Redmi 9C. Now press on the bypass button a ad it will wait for you to connect your phone via USB. DO NOT CONNECT YOUR PHONE PRIOR TO THIS. Hold only the VOLUME UP button when connecting the USB cable to your phone and ensure the phone is OFF. ONCE you connect the phone, it will immediately respond and show a log saying its completed (SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW).
Once this step is completed leave your phone connected as you will soon start the flashing process. Open up SP FLASH TOOLS and run as admin. You will need to load the scatter file which is included in the Fastboot ROM under images folder. Once you have the scatter file loaded, SP tools will proceed to load all image files which will be used to flash phone so be patient.
Ensure that DOWNLOAD ONLY option is chosen as format and download option will format your IMEI also. Once all files have been loaded then just press the DOOWNLOAD button and wait to complete. Once done you can power ON the phone and it should boot.
Very good guide.
Thank you very much
No problem hope it'll help a few guys out there sure helped me a lot

I'm using a Redmi 9c I tried to unlock it but failed in the process. Later I get absolutely no response from the phone, I cant open fast boot or recovery. I tried connecting it to the pc but it shows the same exact problem you are facing. I tried all USB ports and switched cables back and forth but no success. I tried pressing volume up, down and all sorts of combinations, still no success. Any fix for this?

Follow the guide step by step, it should work and if doesn't then you should try disconnecting the battery
great guide on fixing a hard brick.
My compliments and thank you very much indeed to you for writing this very good and detailed guide. My Redmi 9c bootlooped after trying to install Lineage OS, of course no way to go to fastboot mode anymore (I'm a rather experienced custom ROM installer though). Although I asked for help in a separate thread, I got no answer for a couple of months now until I found this thread. I never gave up my Redmi 9C so I now followed you instructions and with success!! I will refer people to your thread of course. There is no doubt many can save their phone by reading you instructions.

This is a last ditch effort to restore your phone to working order. This should only be used if your phone DOES NOT BOOT AT ALL or if you are unable to boot into FASTBOOT.
If you can boot into Fastboot mode then I would encourage you to flash using Mi Flash tool.

Tested! Howto Unbrick Redmi 9C (angelica) without using auth account

I can do this for a Redmi 9a?
Using the same download agent
Hello, i did it but i did the mistake to do a FORMAT AND DOWNLOAD.
No my phone juste diplsay the Redmi logo a few second then power off.
I'm still able to go on the Sp Flash Tools and flash again. Anyone could help me please ?
hello sir so i recently hard bricked my redmi 9c nfc by installing older MIUI version that it came with. It was just black screen all the time and nothing. Tried this guide, mtk bypass tool worked but on sp flash tools i am greeted with this message.
Everything is acting like expected according to the video, but wheb I have used the mediatek bypass tool with green OK and stuff and when i start to press download on the smart phone flash tool, it just stucks at 0. Nothing happens, except that everything is greyed out and is trying to load it. If i boot my phone myself with the brom it says hint:add a authentication file or ask for help. I cant manage to finish it.
The error in Mediatek bypass tool about handshaking error is probably because i did it several times, because i didnt manage to load smartphone flash tool as attached below
This is my last hope to recover my brandew phone. Thanks for the good tutorial, but it didt work out. If someone could save me then I would be grateful
