Problem with Install Open-GApps on CM13 - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hallo all,
can help me anyone. I can't install the open GApps. If I start the ZIP-file in the TWRP I don't see any error massage. But the GApps isn't install after that. In the Logfile Open-GApps massage me
"WARNING: PackageInstallerGoogle is not installed. Cyanogenmod is NOT
compatible with some Google Applications and Open GApps
will skip their installation."
It's give thousands of Instructions to Install Open-GApps on CM13 for Surnia, i can't believe that isn't compatible. I have attached the Logfile. The debug file from GApps are empty. If i don't use the actually GApps but a version from april. I see a other massage and the Logfile isn't empty.
I have a few times reinstall CM13. that does not help.
Thank you for all help and good ideas.

Stefenzo, I have solved using the current Stock build and populating .gapps-config with all the apps I do not need/want! :good:
The warning is still present but all the needed apps were correctly installed removing the AOSP equivalent!

Use the instructions from the following guide,
Android Fix: Error 491 in Google Play Store
Don't forget to clear out the data and cache of Google apps mentioned in the guide right after you remove your GMail account. If the first method doesn't work, then try the second one. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
This guide did not help ether, I tryed both methods without sucess, still error 491.
Is this maybe a ROM bug, because some user seems to be the same issue as well mentioned in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118645
Even the playstore fix mentioned in:
[TOOL][ZIP] Play Store 492-498 fixer by Lopicl

The playstore fix is for error 492-498 and not for 491. You can understand the Google errors and its possible solution from the following guide,
[Help Thread] Google play errors Explained (with fixes)
As for the error 491, try repeating the first method but this time make sure to delete the Google Play updates too when you remove your account. As far as I know error 491 is not a rom bug. Most of the people had this problem solved just by removing the Google account, clearing out the cache associated with Google Play & Play services, uninstalling the Play updates, rebooting and finally adding the Google account again followed by installing the updates. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
still no change, did exactly all things mentioned on the website. Besides, there was no option to deinstall the google service update.
The only eplanation I can see it must be a rom bug.
anyone who has the same problem with this mobile and rom version?

For general google errors this is true, but in this case, the error is caused by missing DRM (Digital Rights Management) libraries and binaries.
I have looked through the source code to find the specific files, and compiled them using the BroadcomCM.
Now everything is working fine =)

It is "kind of" a rom bug, the source code of the rom is working fine, but some of the libraries weren't included in the final build.
So I've added it via the gapps package, and now everything is working fine.
You can try my gapps package.
It's working for me. Tested with CM 9.1 Beta 5.

After several days of investigation I've found the solution.
A specific library and a binary was not included in the ROM (which is apparently needed by Google Play).
I read the log files, searched the missing files and compiled the corresponding source code using the BroadcomCM repository.
I included the missing files in the Google Apps package and added some lines to the updater-script, and voila a working Google Play
Changelog:
Added libdrmframework_jni.so to /system/lib
Added drmserver to /system/bin
Modified updater-script to set the permissions
Credits:
bieltv.3, Alberto96, Psyke83, Spacecaker, Lopicl.00 for BroadcomCM (which I used to compile the binaries and libraries)
Info:
For CM 9 aka. ICS
PS:
Can someone post a link to this thread in the "CyanogenMod 9.1 - BroadcomCM" - Thread, that would be great.
Because I've no permissions to do that :/

Yes, it will work. But you should check if you are having the same problem.
Look into your /system/lib/ folder and search for "libdrmframework_jni.so".
Do the same with your /system/bin/ folder and search for "drmserver".
If both files are missing, then this Google App Package will fix your Error.
The libraries and binaries are also working for Totoro.
PS:
Just wait a few minutes, I'm currently writing/posting a new/better version.
Stay tuned
Best regards

I've checked system and found libdrm1-jni.so & libdrmframerwork.so but not "libdrmframework_jni.so" ofc there's not drmserver in system/bin.

If you have already installed a google apps package, which throws a 491 error, you should uninstall it first.
Because my previous google apps package (or the GearCM package) has old certificates, and therefore you cannot update Google Play Services, which is needed by some apps.
First Option
Therefore I recommend, that you uninstall the old version first.
Here is a detailed guide on how to do this [GUIDE] How to fix and upgrade Google Play Services.
Second Option
If you don't have stored data on your phone, you can also flash the rom again to delete your system partition.
Then you can install my new package without uninstalling the previous package.
Best regards

First Option
Flash your rom again. And install my package afterwards.
Second Option
Pull the "packages.xml" file from your device and search the following Strings:
"/system/app/GooglePlayStore.apk"
"/system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk"
"/system/app/GoogleLoginService.apk"
"/system/app/GoogleServicesFramework.apk"
"/system/app/NetworkLocation.apk"
And then delete the complete "<package ... > ... </package>" element, where you found the string.
Afterwards you can install my google apps package.
Hope this helps.

Google play store is missing after installing Cyanogenmod 12.1

I installed CyanogenMod 12.1 to my galaxy S2(GT-I9100) along with gapps. (Later I tried the same with different gapps too) and everything went good, I successfully installed both zip from CWM 6.0.4.x.
But after I switch on my phone, after all initial steps, I noticed Google Play app is missing, all other gapps are present.
I have used same gapps file for installing in Galaxy note (GT-N7000) along with CyanogenMod 12.1 and Google play store is present
This is first time I'm facing these kind of issue with CyanogenMod installation.
Anybody can help on this issue?

I am using CM13 Lineage Nightowl and my phone is Samsung Note 1 GT-N7000. The problem - I am trying to sign in to my gmail account but I cannot I press the option of google apps and gmail and I pressed next but the nothing is coming after it I tried pressing it 4 to 5 times but nothing worked. I tried clearing data, cache and enabling and disabling play store, play services, google framework. I am again and again facing mesaage "Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped". I am unable to open play store. Please help.
You could try if installing a recent opengapps zip will help.
If not maybe the is something usefull in the logcat.
You also could do a complete clean install factory reset-format /system-install rom + install gapps

The lineage browzer is pretty useless, and as you might know, installing gapps higher than nano or pick(in my case pico is the limit), ends up in an error for lack of storage, and pick doesn't have chrome app, because chrome has the permissions to install apps, but the lineage browser has no such permission and cannot install apps in oreo
