I just factory reset my phone and when I try to boot in all I get is "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." ... All I wanted to do was a quick rest...
Anyways, can anyone help me get the STOCK rom for ROGERS SM-N910W8??? All of the websites offering stock roms are outrageously slow downloads and ask for money to download at a reasonable pace... I'm sure someone out there may have an account/rom handy??? Or maybe a workaround...
Help please I need my phone for work Tomorrow... I'm at the point where I just want to flash Stock Rom on it.
Download this app from Google Play and refresh the model # if it matches yours to find compatible downloads. Might find a faster download with it if you have a fast connection on your phone. Otherwise, the actual site on PC may do better.

Did you try clearing cache and data for SystemUI in so manager?

I can't get into my phone, at all. It will give me the error on boot and I literally cannot get in. I'm stuck at a black screen with the popup coming up endlessly. No access to settings, no access to Playstore, all I can do it power menu by holding the power key and TWRP.
I've cleared data and cache, wiped everything, deleted all user apps, and tried factory reset multiple times from TWRP with no luck. Maybe a could flash someone elses System UI from a stock rom if they have it zipped? I don't know...

See if this is your firmware. It was the only firmware the app pulled up for Rogers.
Samsung Switch or KIES may work too. But it seems there's some extra steps involved to get those to update rooted devices. May need to Google some tutorials for those, if rooted.

This is it. You just saved me 8 hours of downloading, thanks for that.
I'll try this as soon as I can.
Up and running but now I'm having some lag issues within the system... Will update, Thanks for the link at least the phone turns on.

Everything is back up and running... Thanks a lot for the link! I had to clear all the cache, and then re-root... Now I have to be more careful I guess? The original issues was kind of random... So I don't really know what It happened.
Thank you very much guys!

Hey there,
Sorry for the possibly noob question. I have recently acquired a new GT-i9100 from overseas. I believe originally from Vietnam.
Phone Model: A102-TXD_MULA
Android version: 2.3.4
Software build: A102_TXD_MULA_V2.1_V12_12-2012-05-02_16
I would like to flash an EU ICS rom on it. Either stock or Cyanogen mod. However the device will not enter download mode (no matter what I do, even tried it without battery, holding down and home etc...the screen just remains black and PC will not recognize).
The phone is rooted with Zergrush (?)
Any help would be appreciated. Also is it fine to simply flash an ICS from straight from 2.3.4?
Anything to get into download mode would be amazing.
Cheers.

Try a factory reset,
There are many different reasons that a phone may need to have a factory reset performed. You may be experiencing too many issues with apps loading slowly, or malfunctioning when they finally do load or unable to boot into recovery/download. Luckily, a factory reset doesn't actually involve sending your phone off to the factory. Follow these steps to do a factory reset
1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button and go to Settings.
2. Select Privacy and then Factory data reset.
3. Verify the information on the screen and press Reset phone.
The process may take a few moments, but the phone will eventually reboot and ask you for your credentials. Once logged in, if you selected for apps to restore themselves, they will begin downloading after opening the Android Market and agreeing to the Terms of Service again. Additionally, any other services you had synced to the phone will restore their data as well.
Thank you, but still not able to enter download mode. I did a factory reset. Does it having anything to do with the phone model being A102-TXD_MULA?
That doesn't sound like an I9100/T. What does the sticker on the phone under the battery say ?

Perhaps download Rom Manager and install cwm recovery. Then from there enter cwm. Install another rom with another kernel that's well known like siyah. Then try and enter download mode either holding the hard buttons or enter download mode when in cwm recovery. Also make a nandroid back up before you install a new rom. Make sure you wipe data and factory reset, wipe cache, format system and wipe delvik cache. Hope this helps!

KIES wont recognize it....
Tried to install:GT-I9100_WanamLite.XXLPQ.Deodexed.Stock.NO-WIPE
Via rom manager: when rebooted in clockworkmod it gave these errors: Efailed to verifiy whole-file signature.
I will try another rom Also using the power button does not select any of the options (not sure if this is rommanager protecting the user) I have to take out the battery to restart the phone.....
No tried ressurection rom for i9100 gives same errors Signature Verification failed. Install aborted.
Also thank you for all the support so far!

I guess it's a fake.
Post picture of back with Battery removed and one with battery.
Here you go......I was told the battery was not stock, but everything else is...I am starting to think this is a fake haha
The back does look fake, it lacks the grooves which are found in the international version. I'm guessung its supposed to be the international version by the looks of the front.
My guess its a fake.

Okay if my previous post didn't work, please try and install Cyanogenmod and find the galaxy S II on their website. This will give you three options, I recommend the experimental mod version as this is an update from the stable version and currently is pretty stable itself or the Nightly version as this is the ICS themed Cyanogenmod. If you have the same problem such as with rom manager and going onto cwm recovery that way and installing Cyanogemod, please go onto the cyanogenmod forum and research the string of text error you got from cwm ealier
If this works then you should be able to use your phone normally and install more roms and kernels!
I would be of more help in posting the links but as I am a newer member I am restricted in what I do currently.
I hope this helps !
Catley.
Until you can establish exactly what the phone is (I.E legit/fake, is it really an I9100), be very careful about flashing any firmware on it.
Last thing you want is a brick regardless of what it is.
Yesterday, my copy and paste functionality stopped working in all apps. I'm able to select text and press the copy button, but whenever I try to long press and paste the text, I either get a popup that says "clipboard" or nothing happens. In Chrome, even attempting to copy something causes the application to freeze. Rebooting and clearing dalvik cache does not help. I'm running stock ROM, rooted, latest update. Is this happening to anyone else?
I found a couple of other threads where this happened to other people on other devices running ICS, but their solution was to either install a new ROM or do a hard reset. I'm hoping there's an easier solution than that. Here are the other threads:

I have flashed a few mods on top of the root66 image.
1. stock Samsung boot image: http://www.mediafire.com/?m6urrypvx2c156p
2. Wifi toggle: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775235
3. Sound mod to remove boot/camera sound: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27741216&postcount=54
Just to see if I could figure out this issue I flashed the original stock image, then performed a factory reset. Problem solved at that point, as expected. I then re-flashed the root66 image, and tested copy/paste at that point with no issues. I'm going to go through flashing those individual mods and see if I can figure out where it might be breaking.

Thanks. Let me know if any of the mods break it again. The only thing I did recently that was out of the ordinary was run a voodoo report. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
I've had the same issue also. I remember it was working fine for awhile and then it stopped working. When i have time tonight, I might do a factory reset to see if it fixes it.
You might want to look into what apps you have installed. I wouldn't doubt there's some app conflict that's causing all of this.

Doesn't look like any of those mods broke it. A couple of things I forgot to mention I had originally done:
- Performed the SQLite Editor change to get rid of the persistent Wifi notification
- Used Any Cut to disable the annoying Wifi popup when certain apps were open
- Flashed beans rom for the extra Dropbox space and then flashed back to root66
It's a fair amount of work to get this fixed, especially depending on how customized you've gotten, but I can verify that a factory reset will fix this. At this point I have re-flashed everything minus the beans rom and loaded up all my original apps with data, and copy/paste is working like a champ. If you're motivated enough to do it I would recommend backing up everything with Titanium and doing the factory reset.
Also, it's highly likely that flashing back to stock is unnecessary. You should be able to do the factory reset on root66. Again, do a recovery backup and a full TiBu backup just to be safe. Good luck!

Probably not since I'm running stock/rooted. It's clearly something with Android itself. It's just that no one had figured out what triggers it

I'm having the same problem and I'm running stock and I'm not rooted.
Flash on my gf's Note abruptly stopped working after weeks without problems.
Things I tried: I tried the stock and dolphin browser, and just got the plug-in cube. Starting the flash plugin settings app brought me to a full page webpage with the same plugin block. Rebooted. I tried clearing the flash plugin cache/data, there was none to clear. Tried uninstalling (it was 11.1 or something, I don't remember), but it errored while uninstalling. It's still there, the box is gone on webpages but no flash area. Flash settings app doesn't do anything. The only option in app info is disable. And nothing available on the play store.
Any ideas what to do next?

Ok, first things first, Adobe no longer supports Flash on Android devices, as such link on Google Market has been removed. Not sure if that caused an auto-unitstall as XDA is not littered with complaints about that happening. Good news is it can be fixed, as still working my rooted running custom ROM, just need to get you there.
1. Download attached and place on SD where YOU can find it.
2. Ensure Unknown Sources is enabled, if I have to tell you how, than leave things alone.
3. Install Adobe Flash.
4. In Dolphin settings Flash Player is always on.
5. Try some Flash videos and see what happens.
Let me know how it turns out, don't think we need too, but could always mimick my root/custom ROM to get her up and running.

Nope can do that on non-rooted devices plus factory reset is last option. He states only having issues with Flash not the whole phone.

Cool glad I could help, just so you know all Flash support with Dolphin is disabled in Jelly Bean. Reason why I am back on ICS based ROM.
Just doing a sanity check: using TiBu to restore system data should work (in theory) so long as you restore data that has been backed up from the same ROM, correct?
Thanks for any help.
EDIT: Having power key problems, please see posts #3 and #16 for updated information.
In case it really backs up and restores EVERYTHING - theoretically you're right.
Practically, I'm not sure it's the case. Since you're restoring while running a ROM, I'm not sure you can get everything to exactly the same state.
Thanks for your help, but this question was hiding a bigger one.
So until today, my phone has been working just fine. I'm still running an old, now outdated and unsupported ROM: ShirshirROM pre-alpha ICS. It's been my daily driver for almost a whole year now, works perfectly with Entropy's old ICS kernel.
Yesterday, I got tired of shell errors with Superuser (which I had been dealing with since the latest binary update), so I finally switched to SuperSU. Everything seemed to work fine afterwards, though I noticed some trouble with the power button being a little wonky, i.e. showing up the power menu when I hadn't pressed it or not immediately responding.
Today, my power button doesn't work correctly at all. I tried wiping cache, dalvik, then restoring a Nandroid of the same ROM/Kernel combo from way earlier this year. Key test in CWM also shows that all buttons register when pressed, EXCEPT the power one. Otherwise phone functions are perfect; I can make calls, send/receive texts, etc, I just have to plug in my phone or have something happen for the screen to turn on, and then I have access to everything. My question is, is this (God forbid) a hardware failure? That would be my worst nightmare, seeing as I'm almost exactly one full year out from contract renewal, and I don't have a lot of money to spend on a new one, nor do I have nowhere near enough expertise to try to fix it myself. What can I do?
P.S. The TiBu question was because in case the Nandroid fixed the problem, I could just restore contacts and SMS from TiBu since it is the same ROM, and be back up and running immediately.
P.P.S. As mentioned, I can get into CWM. This is done by pulling battery, sticking it in, and holding all physical keys until boot screen shows twice. But I can't use the power key to select any options, I have to use home. And key test shows the power button not registering. I'm hoping that that means power key may still work, but that's just me praying this is fixable.
So this problem didn't occur at all prior to installing supersu ?

No, as far as I recall. I'm not using supersu anymore since I'm on a Nandroid but power button still doesn't work. I have to find alternate ways of activating the screen, like plugging it into a charger or pulling the battery to restart :/

So I backed up stuff, then went ahead and flashed bone stock using the Odin3 One-Click from 2a in creepy's guide. I can't get past the initial setup wizard though, because Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps), Calendar Storage (process.com.android.providers.calendar), and other Google apps processes keep force closing when I click the Android to start. I was able to boot into stock e3 recovery (again using three-button combo), but I can't select anything using the power key.
I didn't do a full data wipe/factory reset before flashing, and I can't get to the main menus to do so because my phone won't get past the setup wizard, which keeps crashing. What do I try next?
EDIT: I know that I was able to make selections using a CWM-enabled ICS kernel; home key functioned as select. I have the CWM-flashable zip, and I wanted to know if there's anyway to flash this kernel using Odin. I know it won't boot (custom ICS kernel with Gingerbread stock rom), but if I can get into recovery, I can use the home key to do a full data wipe/factory reset, then I'd Odin stock kernel+ROM again and see if that fixes things. So my question is, how do I flash a CWM-zipped kernel in Odin? (You can tell I never use Odin)
EDIT2: I'd still like to know how I can flash a CWM-zipped kernel in Odin, but I'm gonna hold off on it as it would trip the counter and I found out my phone is still under warranty, hooray! They're sending a refurb'ed replacement that should be here in a couple days, I can test that out and see if I can get me up and running again before I decide to do something really rash like trip the counter. It sucks cause I'm going out of town on Thursday but the replacement is arriving Friday, and I won't be back until next Wednesday. I'm stuck using my old iPhone 3G until then :/
I do know you can't flash this from Odim. You'll need another kind of file. Tar file... I don't remember.
Don't know where to find it.
I don't think you should back to stock. Just wipe and formating everything could test it.
Find an app that allow you to get recovery from android like rom toolbox lite.
Download mrRobinson AeSedai Aroma.
After formating and wiped everything, flash your rom and don't get out of recovery. Flash AeSedai just after. Flash gapps and KERNEL from AeSedai.
Must be an cm10 or aokp rom... Any rom from that source.

How would I format and wipe everything if I can't get past the setup wizard on bone stock 2.3.4? I can't install apps, make calls or texts, nothing. All I can do is select the language and make emergency calls. I can't wipe in stock e3 recovery either because the power button doesn't work.
I need a way to either Odin a kernel from which I can use the home button to make selections, or find some other way to remotely format and wipe my phone. Is there a way for me to put my phone in USB debugging mode so I can maybe use ADB? I can't access the settings menu...
Don't u use home button to select things in stock recovery?

Nah, it's power key. I double checked again this morning. Oh, and I guess it's called 3e recovery, not e3 xD.
One other note, when pulling battery, then putting it back in, phone autoboots. I have to hold buttons then place battery in to boot to recovery, and for download mode, I have to have it plugged in, buttons held, then place battery in to get to download mode.
EDIT: Would anyone be willing to do me a huge favor? I want to find out if Entropy's DD GB kernel, the Odin-flashable tar one, can use home as select in CWM. Would someone be willing to temporarily flash DD_01242012 from here to check for me? It's a CWM zip, the changes are very tiny between it and the previous 01232012 Odin one. I just don't want to Odin it myself and trip the counter to find out it was useless, especially since I don't have a jig to reset the counter.
So an update:
While looking around for a way to root my new refurb model which came shipped with stock ICS, I found creepy's Stock ICS with root package, and I thought, "I told AT&T I was on ICS, I guess I should actually put ICS on my phone instead of leaving GB (UCKH7) on there. Maybe since I was on ICS before I can get past the gapps force closing too and do a factory reset from the settings menu." Sure enough, after flashing stock ICS, I was able to get past the darn wizard and toy with it. I do have problems of course: calendar still force closes, and the phone will randomly reboot after some period of using it. But at least I was able to access stuff.
My data was all still there, all pictures, contacts, settings, etc. I realized that before I do a data wipe/factory reset, I should heed the emmc superbrick bug warning and NOT do that with stock ICS kernel. I still had ES file explorer and root access, so I went in and manually deleted all data as much as possible, to make it look like my phone did have a factory reset done as I said to the AT&T representative. I've deleted wifi access points, browser history/cookies/cache, all contacts, texts, pictures/videos, downloads, all CWM zips and backups, all installed apps, all accounts that were signed in...
My newest questions are:
1) is there anything I'm missing that I should delete so that my phone does not look like it's been modified in any way? Also, any personal data I'm missing that needs to be deleted? I still have root access so I can delete anything I want.
2) Should I go ahead and risk the brickbug and actually do a factory reset/data wipe, or should I just let it be since I've deleted most things manually (and not potentially send them a useless brick lol)? Actually, since I'm rooted, I can install Mobile Odin to flash a CWM-enabled kernel, then wipe data/factory reset safely from there; that is, assuming my phone doesn't do a random reboot in the middle of flashing the kernel. I do run the risk of it rebooting while flashing and possibly bricking something else. So should I do that and take that risk, should I take the risk of wiping data from the stock kernel, or is there no reason to take either risk anymore?
3) Is there anywhere I can find a non-rooted stock UCLE5 ICS Odin-flashable tar, that I can flash before sending the phone back?
How about:
1. Flash back to stock GB
2. Wipe Data
3. Upgrade to stock ICS via kies or OTA

Thanks for your help, but I can't do that. If I could, I wouldn't be stuck in this predicament.
Power key doesn't work at all, but it is necessary to make selections in stock 3e recovery. Hence, I can't wipe from recovery, either on stock GB or ICS.
Stock GB rom doesn't boot past Setup Launcher due to gapps force-closes. These force closes prevent me from reaching the settings menu within stock GB to do a wipe there.
My two options for wiping data are using stock ICS ROM (under settings menu), or flashing a custom kernel using Mobile Odin, then wiping with the home key in CWM. Both are risky: stock ICS ROM uses the stock kernel to wipe, possible brickbug there. My phone currently experiences random reboots without warning; a reboot during a Mobile Odin flash could also brick something. My question is, should I do either one, or neither at all?
What about wiping through ADB?
Adb shell
Wipe data
Or
Adb recovery --wipe-data

Well, that previously wasn't an option on GB since I couldn't put the phone in debugging mode, but I can now in ICS so in theory it should work. The question now is, will the phone do one of its random reboots while I'm working with it in ADB...

Okay, so I installed the latest version of the carbon ROM. Every time I install it (I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times) I cannot view any files in my sdcard. I know they are still there, as they are accessible through Recovery, however in the ROM they cannot be accessed. None of the files, there's nothing on my phone according to the ROM.
Also, when I plug the phone into my PC it does not find anything. I find it strange that I can find files in recovery mode, but not in Windows, or the ROM itself. I'm so confused and I'm leaving for something tomorrow where I won't be able to access a computer and I'm starting to get nervous any help would be great.
EDIT: Also, I can download apps, so it's not the SD Card. What sucks is since no files are showing I can't put anything on my phone to re-flash and I have no other ROMs on there to flash, and sideload isn't working, it's not recognizing the device.

What recovery are you using to flash the Rom? Make sure it's a kit Kat based one. Twrp 2.7 worked for me. Try a reinstall with that. Wipe the system, factory rest, and clear the dalvik cache and cache. See if that makes a difference.
Hole this helps.
Let me know how it goes and of its not fixed we can try something else.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer, and yes I'm using a KitKat based one because I've been on and off of ROMs for a while now. I'll try reinstalling it, and everything you said and I'll get back to you.
EDIT: I don't know why but my ADB just started working wow okay, we're on a good run here, let's see how it turns out. I'm installing a different ROM just to at least get off this (I'm gonna call it broken because ever since I installed it, it's just been messing up) one, and install a different one. I've wiped and everything.
EDIT Again: OMG IT'S FIXED I'M SO HAPPY I CAN FINALLY GO TO BED! But thanks for the help, I was about ready to give up until you answered I got my motivation back. It was just the ROM, something was wrong with it. It was on the website, but not on the thread and I decided to just download it cause, hey, it was the latest version. Maybe it was all the ROM's fault or maybe it corrupted while downloading or something weird, but either way it's fixed now I'm running a previous version and it WORKS!
