Hello,
I've just installed a custom rom (Pffitech 4.0.4) but it did not come with a Myfiles app. I've tried downloading it but whenever I try to install it, it says application not installed. I would need it because when i try to customise my alarm or notification tones, I cannot choose from my own sounds because it tries to load myfiles and fails.
Also, how can I resize the Accuweather widget on Touchwiz ux? I have tried long pressing it as with the old touchwiz but it does not work
Thanks

There are other alternatives to Myfiles I use Astro or Root Explorer and find them much better.
Myfiles is annoying Samsung bloatware in my opinion

1.
Myfiles.apk is a system application and wont install like a normal app.
You need to copy it to /system/app and then set the permissions to rw-r-r (644) using a root capable file manager like Solid explorer and Es file manager (both free)
There also very good and probably much better alternatives in Playstore.
2.
I don't use Touchwiz UX but it may be a bug in the ported launcher since it was not originally meant for our phone.
there are very good alternative launchers too in the playstore. You can even apply Touchwiz UX theme to most of those launchers. Apex, Nova, Holo launcher HD and Go launcher Ex, are good examples
Hi guys
I have been trying to theme my current installed app's icons using 7zip. i know i want to do this way coz i'm on honami stock launcher which doesnt support iconpacks.... So i can change icon successfully on playstore app apk using 7zip drag n drop replace way, but then after reboot playstore wont open/force close. ( changed in data/app/com.android.vending-1.apk icon. Then i wiped dalvik cache and fixed permissions. So it opens and but it appears like previous version in UI and when i open second time it upgrades to latest version and stock icon back
But i edited the latest apk in data/app/... So any way around this... i know this is strange way of doing it and you may ask?? but i want to keep stock laucher and theme icons .... any help appreciated...
Hello,
I try to mod a rom but I have this problem : I've added apk in /system/app.
After the boot, if I open the applications view, siome of them use little icon and some other normal icon
Launcher used : JB launcher2
Any idea to have the same size for all ?
By the way, if I install an application thru the Playstore, it is the same problem : it will have small icon
Thanks
Hi,
I'm totally anoid of the white design of the Samsung apps. I would like to replace the stock Samsung Clock app with the old (black) clockpackage.apk taken from my former Note 3. I've tried already replacing the apk with Root Explorer and setting permissions to rw-r-r. After wiping cache and reboot it always shows the message: "Clock stopped" when trying to start the app.
Has anybody an idea how to get this working on Note 4?
hi,
I was able to use the stock Android 4.4 clock app.
You can find it by google "APK Download: Android 4.4 Clock/Alarm/Timer/Stopwatch" (Cant post link)
Need apk or flashable zip of Switch Access app. This app comes preinstallled in original moto rom. It is shown in accessibility settings and not in app drawer. (See screenshot attached)
It is used to control the screen using volume buttons only.
I tried to search for apk in /system/apps in another moto phone having that app, but could not find it.
