Remove back cover.

Wait a few seconds, then unplug phone and remove battery.
4) BACKUP IMEI PARTITION AND PARTITIONS (NANDROID BACKUP)

If it asks for Keep System Read Only ? -> Swipe to Allow Modifications.
Go to Backup > you can select the partitions you want to save.
Select at least EFS partition to backup your IMEI. If a flash fails and partition is damaged you will still be able to restore this partition and use the phone.
If IMEI is lost during a flash, phone won't be able to reach cellphone networks.
I prefer to backup EFS, Boot, Data and System.
Now type Select Storage > Select Micro SD card and confirm with OK
Now Swipe to Backup and wait during process.
Go to Home screen and continue with next chapter.
5) WIPE PARTITIONS
Go to Wipe > Format Data

At reboot, if TWRP asks for Keep System Read Only ? > Swipe to Allow Modifications.
6) FLASH ROM, GAPPS, WIFI-FIX
Back to TWRP Home menu. Then tap on Install > choose LOS*.zip,
(if you don't see the files, tap on Select Storage and make sure Micro SDCard is active).
then Add more Zips > open_gapps*.zip,
then Add more Zips > wifi-fix-semcosh.zip,
then Swipe to confirm Flash.
Wait for operation to end.
Tap Wipe cache/dalvik, swipe to confirm,
then Reboot System.
Wait for the phone to boot during 10 minutes.
6) ROOT ACCESS
Configure Android.
Then shutdown phone.
Boot in recovery mode: Hold Power + Home + Volume+ until Samsung logo is displayed and release buttons.
Go to Install > select Magisk.
Swipe to flash then reboot System.
No extra steps for root. Magisk starts with Android.
Open Magisk Manager app to manage root permissions.
8) EXTRA
You can use GPS Status & Toolbox app for faster GPS fix.
For faster phone, go to Settings > About.
Tap 7 times on Build number.
Now go to Settings > System > Avdanced > Developer options.
Set Windows animation scale, Transition animation scale and Animator duration scale to 0.5x.
Still in Developer options, set Default USB configuration to File transfer.
For better battery use Dark mode.

4) GENERATE BOOTLOADER UNLOCK CODE
From your PC, go to : https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader/
At the bottom of the page, in Select your device : Select Xperia Tablet Z (or Tablet Z Wifi).
Enter your IMEI and check both checkboxes.
Copy the unlock code on next page.

Root access > ADB only
Android debugging switched ON
Windows animation scale yo Animation scale .5x
Same for Transition animation scale and Animator duration scale to improve reactivity

Enter commands in order:
Code:
adb devices
On tab, grant ADB access
Code:
adb root
Code:
adb wait-for-device
Code:
adb push twrp-3.4.0-0-pollux.img /tmp/twrp.img
Command returns: 2600 KB/s (12103680 bytes in 4.544s)
and finally
Code:
adb shell dd if=/tmp/twrp.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel
It will output
> 23640+0 records in
> 23640+0 records out

You forgot to mention about Backuping TA before bootloader unlock.
Also operation under numbers 4,5,7,8 can be done via Flashtool practically in one click, so it's much faster.
Also with frequent messages "can't post outside links" instruction is "half-done".

About flashtool, it is always more instructive to understand all the process rather than a tool you don't know the limits.
I'll look at TA partition backup, thx for your advice.

- Charge phone to 100 %
WARNING. Read carefully the sentences starting with ###.
### It will not work if your phone is encrypted. Uncrypt it before starting this tutorial.
### This tutorial works without a PC. So it will work if (like me) you get "Unknown USB device error" message when plugging phone in Windows.
### Warranty is now void.
### Later in this tutorial, if you get error : "Failed to mount */data* (No such device)", just reformat Data partition to Ext4 (Using lanchon-repit's script or TWRP recovery).
2 ) BACKUP DATA -------------------
Install Samsung drivers (you unzipped earlier).
Then plug phone to PC in File transfer mode.
Collect all .jpg or .mp4
Use an app like Backupyourmobile to backup texts, contacts, etc.
Check that backup is located on microSD card.
Then copy the backup on your PC.
3 ) FLASH RECOVERY, KERNEL AND RE-PARTITION----------------
We gonna repartition phone to reduce an unused preload partition of 512 Mo (stored Samsung updates that no more exist).
We gonna increase system partition to 1 GB so Android 7.1 and Gapps have enough space.
We gonna increase data partition so you can have all the apps you like.
ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST.
FLASH RECOVERY FROM STOCK RECOVERY ----
Shut down phone.
Power it back on in recovery mode : Use Volume+ + Home + Power buttons and release them when you see Galaxy S2 logo.
### Alternative and easier process if your S2 can be recognized by PC using Heimdall : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75002977&postcount=343
Then wait till the recovery launches.
### If you already have a custom recovery, go to the mark -!-!- below.
Using default recovery, use volume buttons to navigate and power to confirm,
install zip -> choose Philz_touch_6.48*.zip and install it.
When its done, shut down phone, restart in recovery mode. You are now in the Philz touch recovery.
### If it fails, you need to install CWM recovery using Odin software and SGS2 in Download mode.
### Use a good tutorial for Odin and SGS2 i9100 recovery flashing.
### Download CWM for Odin : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934516900
### Once finished, continue operations below as if you had Philz recovery.
In Philz touch recovery (or your recovery -!-!-) : go to Wipe -> format /cache and format /system partitions.
Then back to install zip -> Flash kernel-lanchon*.zip (FLASH IT OR TWRP RECOVERY WON'T LAUNCH AND PHONE WILL BE BRICKED),
then flash recovery recovery-the.gangster-IsoRec-TWRP-3.1.0-0-i9100.zip.
Reboot phone to recovery again, it is now TWRP 3.1.0-0 Recovery !!!
Swipe to unlock filesystem.
Check never show this screen during boot again and swipe again.
In TWRP, go to Backup -> select Boot, System, Data,
Tap select Storage and select External storage,
then Swipe to Backup.
Backup is located on your microSD in the TWRP folder.
(To have latest TWRP recovery, go to Install > Select TWRP 3.1.1-0.img and swype to flash).
### Don't flash repit files if you don't have a TWRP recovery
### 2 MAIN CONFIGS TO REPARTITION :
- For standard config, just use the djibe-standard-repit*.zip included in my archive, you'll have :
1GB system, 6GB data (for apps), max internal storage (photos, temp files) and minimal preload (useless partition used for OTA offical updates).
- My PREFERED version is djibe-prefered-repit*.zip :
1GB system, 2GB Internal storage (limited size for photos and files because who takes photos with SGS2 ?), max data (about 11,5 GB for apps), minimal preload (useless partition).
### And a failproof repit one. If you get flash errors with repit files above, use this one.
- For more custom partitions, ask us in a post what partition sizes you want.
### Let the lanchon*.zip filename AS IS because the filename gives the instructions for the repit script. Lanchon is smart !
Go back to TWRP Home screen,
Plug phone to charger.
Tap go to Install, select lanchon-VERSIONYOUWANT-djibe-repit*.zip from your microSD (if file not seen, tap Select storage -> External-storage),
then Swipe to flash. There is an error, files have been copied to /tmp folder. It is normal !
Go back to Install -> Select Storage -> Internal Storage, OK.
Now tap on : (Up A Level),
scroll down and enter the "tmp" folder,
### If you use another PIT file to repartition (not mine -djibe-version), plug phone to Power source (not PC !) or you could hard brick your device.
tap on lanchon-VERSIONYOUWANT-djibe*.zip and Swipe to flash.
### never connect phone to PC during repit !!!
Let it process for 2 minutes.
4 ) Wipe partitions
INFO : F2FS is the fastest filesystem for read and write partitions on flash memories. Compared to EXT4, gain is from 15 to 280 %.
No need to format the /System partition because it is Read only and Ext4 is still faster.
Format has been done with repit. No need to manually format anymore.
Go to Wipe -> Advanced wipe,
select Dalvik, Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage then Swipe to Wipe, go back to TWRP Home.
5) INSTALL ROM, GAPPS AND ROOT
Still under TWRP Home screen -> go to Install zip and set Storage to External-Storage.
We need to install files 1 by 1.
Select lineage-14.1-*.zip and Swipe to flash,
Then select addonsu-*.zip (this is the Root) and Swipe to flash,
### You get this error : Updater process ended with signal: 4, Error installing zip file '/sdcard/Download/addonsu*.zip', don't care, root is correctly installed.
then open_gapps-arm-7.1*.zip, and Swipe to flash,
### If you are using ResurrectionRemix, don't flash any custom kernel at all !
Then wipe cache/dalvik,
then reboot system.
Wait for 15 minutes while Android starts for the first time.
6 ) ROOT ACCESS
Once in Android, open the Settings menu, select "About Phone".
Go to Settings -> About -> Hit 7 times on the build number, go back,
Go to the Developer options menu, root access -> activate ADB+apps
and Lower activate Local Terminal.
7) CALIBRATE BATTERY
In Google Play Store, download App Battery Calibration (from IMobS Ltd).
Launch the App.
Confirm root acces.
Plug tab and wait till charge hits 100%, then hit BATTERY CALIBRATION and unplug it.
8) You can use Backupyourmobile to restore data,
you can use GPS Status & Toolbox app to enhance GPS fix.
Enjoy,
djibe

Hi, i tried that, the repit file i isntalled was the one that has your name. The whole process went ok, except for the install. please check the image for more info.
I formated cache and data partition back to ext4 and everything went fine. Now I have ressurection remix 7.1 ROM.
hi octaviojss:
- Why did you flash my PIT, cause you got the WARNING. If you got "ERROR: 1 Fatal: file system errors in partition #11 'sdcard' (UMS) could not be fixed error" ?
- What happens if you go back to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe
And reformat every partition (F2FS for cache and data and ext4 for system and internal storage) ?
Keep in touch
Why did you have your PIT file there in first place, if it wasnt needed? I installed it because it was more recent. Anyway, as said, when i reformated the cache and data partitions back to ext4 file format i was able to install the rom smoothly and flawlessly.
Glad you did it !
For the PIT file it doesn't change much, but the original lanchon PIT moves data during partition resize, mine erases data.
Enjoy
I get an error "E: error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip" Please help me fix this

Hi Aly, at which step are you ?
Did you try reflashing the PITs from the SDcard and moving back to Internal stroage main folder ?
Did you authorize TWRP to mount system partition ?

So you've wiped everything under stock recovery ? It needs to be done later once Philz touch is working !
So, we'll try flashing recovery in Download Mode (Home + Power + Volume-), use Odin to flash Philz Touch recovery in .tar format (in AP/PDA section of Odin).
1 - Download Philz Touch recovery in .tar format :
https://mega.nz/#F!oZ1QDDbC!Ko20UNhowwIlXLVFjJsyKw (it doesn't load for me right now)
+ Odin 3.07 (my pack for i9300) : http://bit.ly/2hqiWsP
2 - From my tutorial here, execute the 3rd chapter with Odin :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/guide-tutorial-samsung-galaxy-s3-i9300-t3491788
(do not flash TWRP inside my i9300 Archive)
3 - Once flash of Philz touch recovery is done, reboot to recovery and continue further steps.
good to have a full tutorial
Glad it pleases you. Hope your S2 is now fully unleashed
Any constructive comment is welcome to enhence the tutorial.

Still doesn't work. It's stuck at " Nand Write Start!!"
Try Odin 1.3
or this "Tried to do a rollback from official 4.4.2 to official 4.1.2 via Odin.
Since the new official bootloader doesn't allow rollback procedures, I got the missing magic string error and the NAND write fail at Odin.
The tablet bricked, not even showing Samsung Note 10.1 logo. I could only access to ODIN mode, not recovery even. *YIKES*
After a day and a half trying to recover it, I removed the SIM card, the SD card and I loaded the Samsung Stock recovery file via ODIN, then rebooted. I got as far as the Samsung logo which was an improvement compared to what I had. Then I proceeded to reload the 4.4.2 firmware (INU-N8000XXUDNE6) and rebooted the device. Went into recovery mode, restored factory defailts and, voilá!
It is working now on 4.4.2, though it is not the Spanish firmware it shoud be, at least the tablet is functional. "
Hi.
Oh boy I was happy when I found this complete package with all files in a zip. All other places the files are missing or you "can't find them".
And oh boy I was unhappy when I couldn't install the first file.
My phone is a SGS2 Modelnumber GT-I9100 bought in Sweden a few mounth after the model was released.
So I guess the instructions on this page should work for me?
I've rooted my phone with CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip and verified with a root checking app from the store. Otherwise it's only updated to the latest Andorid 4.1.2 from Samsung. The phone is working fine with the installed Android version.
So when I choose to install "Philz_touch_6.48*.zip" the following is printed out:

What am I doing wrong here? Have I missed doing something obvious? Do I need to install something more before I use your guide?

Hello,
you are rooted.
So, in Android, what happens if you download the app ROM Manager : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.rommanager ,
grant Root access for the app,
Flash latest ClockworkMod Recovery for i9100,
reboot to recovery, reflash Philz Touch ?
Hi.
I tried to do that you wrote. Didn't seem to work with:
GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9.tar
I downloaded Odin and flashed it instead. Now I got this yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in and phone didn't boot into Android.
Got very worried but I went into recovery mode and voila ClockworkMod was running
After that I followed your instruction. Up to "Format to F2FS". I got errors so I changed back to EXT4 and continued.
Installed CM13 with no problem and got very glad so I forgot step 6-8. Will do them in a few days.
Thank you very much for this guide and zip-archive.
It's actually my daughter who will get the updated phone. She is also very happy
BR
Tobbe
PS. One more thing, is it possible to get rid of the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in? (only appears at atart up screen) DS.
Glad you did it.
It is strange how bugs can be different for everyone !
Triangle can be removed but it seems rather dangerous for a small benefit : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/orig-development/2014-01-15-triangleaway-v3-26-t1494114
I have no courage to do it after all these tricky steps we wen't by !
See you,
Thanks djibe. I wanted to flash to CM13 from stock rom, so your guide was really helpful.
I did run into two issues, and want to share how I got around them:
1. I got the "Status 7" problem when trying to flash Philz_touch_6.48*.zip. So instead I flashed the relevant ZIP file from "forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/philz-cwm6-stock-kernel-cwm6-root-exfat-t1877270" from stock recovery first. This installed a custom recovery. Then I flashed Philz_touch_6.48 from the custom recovery.
2. After formatting /cache and /data to F2FS, installing CM13 failed. So instead I kept /cache and /data as EXT4 and completed the installation according to the rest of the guide. After rebooting and completing the CM13 Android setup, I redid the installation from step 4 of your guide onwards and F2FS worked this time. I should mention though that before formatting /cache and /data to F2FS, I also repartitioned with a newer repit file from lanchon's github (and increased data to 4G), so I don't know if this had an effect as well.
Hopefully this helps others facing the same problems. I should warn though that this is my first time attempting absolutely anything like this, so please take all this with caution. Your mileage may vary!

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Xiaomi Mi box3c and was very disappointed with custom rom and the interface that it came with on it. So surfing the web there are a few tutorials on how to change it and I tried a few but they are not that great either, till finally someone patched the stock android TV Lean back Launcher for it, it took some tinkering but I got it working, this may not be the best way but this is how I did it form the start. This is not my work, I just followed instructions and I have gathered them here. As I am lazy Im not gonna provide pictures for every step but it’s pretty straight forward.
For using some the apps during the process you will need usb mouse cause not every apps supports Mibox remote configuration
As I am a new poster I am not allowed to post any links so change every dot word to an actual . for the links.
1. Turning on the Box and Changing to English
1.1 Download this apk provided by Xiaomi veterans on forum, it’s a shortcut to the stock android setting
drive dot google dot com/open?id=0B16bkj0QSkYnc0k2UUFTU05vSHM 1.2 copy the apk to a normal usb flash drive and connect to mibox and install the apk
1.3 Run it and now you can change the language as in any android device.
2. Downgrading Firmware
All of the root options available for this device are for the older firmware so you need to downgrade the device. (it’s much easier than it sounds.)
2.1 Download the original firmware for MDZ-16-AA from this link: (both are the same thing)
yadi dot sk/d/Yvr1jYflm6GZR androidfilehost dot com/?fid=745425885120695554 2.2 Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file to a formatted usb tick (Fat32). (There should be two files: xiaomi_update and update.zip)
2.3 Put the USB flash drive in your Mi Box and boot in recovery
(How to boot into recovery: Unplug power > press and "hold back + ok" button while plugging the power back in. The remote should be nearby and facing the box. Do not let go of the buttons until it booted in recovery. for some devices its "home + menu" button instead of the previous one.
2.4 the flashing should start and finish automatically. don’t connect the device to WIFI after this step until you have disabled the intelligent update.
(Credits to passerby on xiaomi.eu forums for the guide)
3. Rooting the device
I tried almost all of the rooting apps, none of them worked for me but I have seen people insisting that permroot works for them so I put the link for that, using it is pretty straight forward, download, install on device and try to root with it.
but in case that doesn’t work Kingoroot Windows app will definitely work. this is how to root with kingoroot. For this method you need a USB type A --> USB type A cable.
3.1 First download the kingoroot desktop app from their website
3.2 Install the app on your windows desktop
3.3 Go to your mibox device setting (mibox setting not android stock from part 1) and in Security setting and Enable USB/ADB debugging, device will restart for this setting to change.
3.4 connect your mibox to your desktop and wait for the device to be installed and recognized by windows. (If you are using windows 10 it will detect the device by itself)
3.5 Run the kingoroot app on the windows and let it detect the device, as soon as it detects the device root option will appear, click on root option it and wait
3.6 Kingoroot will try to install an app on your mibox, allow it and then this will continue and finish the rooting process.
3.7 Disable USB/ADB debugging, so you can connect USB Flash drives to the device again.
3.8 Check for the root stastus with rootchecker.
(Credits to passerby on xiaomi.eu forums for the guide)
4. How to flash TWRP to device
4.1 download the TWRP App from this link:
dl dot twrp dot me/twrpapp/me.twrp.twrpapp-18.apk 4.2 Download the android ROM and TWRP image together from this link:
goo dot gl/q5DGED password : Mibox2015 4.3 open the zip file and copy this image file to your USB Flash drive
MDZ-16-AA-AndroidTV-V1\TWRP-RECOVERY\twrp-mdz-16-aa.img
4.4 Connect the USB flash drive to the box and copy the image to device storage
4.3 Install the TWRP app on the device using the USB flash drive
4.4 Run it and select first two boxes.
4.5 Go to flash TWRP option and wait for app to ask permission from SU, grant permission.
4.6 Select TWRP flash and select flash from image. Select the image that you copied to device storage.
4.7 Boot into recovery (by this time you have root access and it’s better to boot to recovery with one of the reboot apps ex. Quick Reboot)
(Now you have TWRP, but the problem is every time you reboot the box, the stock rom overwrites the TWRP files and it goes back to Default recovery, to solve this we need to replace the Rom itself too)
5. Replacing the Rom
5.1 While still in TWRP page, make a small boot backup just so TWRP makes a folder in storage of your device.
5.2 Reboot the device from TWRP (reboot system)
5.3 Now using a File manager (I used X-plore) copy the Rom folder to the same backup folder that was created by TWRP in your storage.
Copy This folder:
MDZ-16-AA-AndroidTV-V1\TWRP\BACKUPS\11608V180037788\2014-12-31--18-01-42_6.9.7.949
To this folder: (Which is already should be there created by TWRP)
Internal Storage\TWRP\Backups\ (your device’s Serial number)\
5.4 Repeat steps 4.6 & 4.7 again to Flash TWRP again, after booting to TWRP go to restore and select file (2014-12-31--18-01-) to restore, swipe to restore and wait for 10-15 minutes
5.5 After restore is done don’t reboot, go back to TWRP main page, go to Wipe then advanced wipe, select Dalvik, Cache and Data to be wiped. After wipe is done reboot system
5.6 When android system boot is complete, go to setting down below and change the language to English and its done.
I hope it helps

Add widevine drm in MDZ-16-AA
To complete your notice, I found a way to launch MyCanal and molotov.tv (not tested for netflix yet).
As you know these apps requires widevine drm.
First download
extractor 4.0 and Xiomi 3S official rom
Then extract update.zip and add in root folder of extractor: system.new.dat + system.transfert.list.file_context
Use Extractor.bat to uncompact system.new
On folder go on system\vendor and copy paste lib folder on USB key.
Does anybody know how to go to recovery mode?
HOLD Back + OK and Home + Option doesn't work for my MDZ-16-AA
the system has been automatically updated yesterday.. :crying:
Thank you so much, I got it installed.
Step 1 can be hard because of the chinese language therefor I used this link:
https://www dot cnx-software dot com/2016/04/12/how-to-change-language-to-english-and-install-apps-remotely-on-xiaomi-mi-box-3-enhanced/
at step 2 I made the mistake that I extracted the update.zip aswell. while I needed to keep it zipped.
I used the app RUFUS to make the usbdrive a FAT32 drive.
at step 3 Kingoroot worked for me, although I needed to restart several times to make the ADB debugging connection work.
at step 4 sending the TWRP files, was a bit of a hurdle. It wwas not possible for me to copt them from the USB stick with ES file manager to the device. I needed to use the USB cable to my computer (ADB off) password: "@mibox2015"
At point 5 I was not able to use my remote or keyboard, I needed to turn off ADB!
At the end allot works, but there is still some bugs:
- MIUI still present. eg. when connecting an usb stick you get a chinese menu. and you are able to get into the old system menu
- unable to get NETFLIX to work
- allot of bloatware, apps I can not disable or delete.
- im unable to disable search by microphone in the UI, which is not supported by the remote of the 16-AA
- im unable to edit the tiles in the homescreen to eg. hide the supersu, market etc. and to put PLEX of KODI more in front
Thanks!!!!

I successfully rooted my mibox 3c (MDZ-16-AA) and installed TWRP app and Android TV.
Now I want to go back to the Xiaomi Original Firmware (1.5.25). I tried to use TWRP and the Update.zip, but it did not work. How can I do it? Many thanks!
---------- Post added at 09:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:53 AM ----------
I read from a Chinese forum that the 1.4.32 can also be rooted. As far as I know the Android TV is based on the 1.3.106. Does it make any sense to root the MDZ-16-AA with the firmware 1.4.32 and install the Android TV then?

Try forgetting the network in wifi settings. Reboot and then connect to the network again with the password. Might help, I noticed that one time during testing

Disableing location did the trick
Want to try but...
Firstly, thank you for this. I can only imagine the time and effort to figure this out.
How the hell you guys do this I'll never know. Kudos.
Now, what if I want to install LineageOS 16 without the adoptable storage and get root? Is there a reason one needs adoptable storage for this process?
Nervous about having an eventually-to-fail sd card in there and no spare sd card slot to add storage.
All I really want (sorry, would like) right now is root so I can fiddle with my device. It seems all other attempts at pure root result in bootloop and having to reflash stock. I know, I tried https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=81286251#post81286251 and posted my results.
Is there a method to just install LlineageOS/Gapps, Magisk, Busybox/su?
Not wanting to knock your efforts, but a slimmed down LinOS16 with root installation instr. will be fantastic!
Is there a benefit to having to do the system install with adoptable storage?
Thanks again.

You don't have to use adoptable storage it's just an option really. If you want to use lineage 16 you can just fine with even magisk canary builds, might want try out some other GSI a64a ( ARM 32-bit with 64-bit binder, A-only) builds with an AOSP base and see what works. The only benefit would be having extra install space for loads of apps and full access to storage. As far as lineage 17 goes you must flash the magisk-phh for it to even boot but adoptable storage you don't need. Still follow the instructions minus adoptable storage and you'll achieve root in no time. As of right now there's been weekly builds of lineage GSI. Hopefully we'll get a real build of lineage 17 eventually.
Highly recommend orange fox recovery.
whenever i try to flash the recovery i get an error only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed how do i resolve this problem?

Hello community,
I am now at this point. I have installed just Linage 17, without Linage 16 without gapps, because i dont need them.
So, lineage 17 is starting, now I have to prepare Magisk.
I have updated _JUST_ Magisk Manager (see screenshot) and installed two recommended modules (Busybox for Android NDK and MagiskHide Props Config)
After reboot ends up in a boot loop. Interim solution is start to recovery and make factory reset. In this case is Magisk not available. After Magisk installation there is again a loop. I tried this 3 times. What I am doing wrong?

As far as I know probably not. These are GSI builds and are not exactly fully supported for our devices but still function pretty good.

Next steps for su? Which steps are you referring too? As soon as you have magisk-phh flashed with Canary manager on 17 you have SU. As far as 17 goes do not update magisk just manager. 16 you can use any magisk up to Canary

Thx its working
Hi, after some trial error I was able to install Havoc 3.1 on my SM-M307FN dual sim model, but unfortunately there is no dual sim support in this version of Havoc, or am I missing something? Didn't find any related settings in Havoc settings so far... please confirm...
Thanks
no dual sim support here
hm, so i went a little wild and tested successfully these five GSI images, all listed bellow booted on my phone, but only one SIM card was enabled/presented and i didn't find a way how to access both my SIM cards, so for now I am going to back to stock firmware... if anyone wants to try be my guest, you can safely skip "power off" steps from OP steps to flash to save some time (or not its your choice - worked for me) also if you get error after first try to resize system - just try again it will work on second try (tested several times)...
I didn't tested much, but none of tested system images had working auto brightness, dual sim support and maybe several broken things which i didn't noticed, you can find for yourself ... if you have b***s
happy testing (name of the system image + size after unpacking):

Any major bugs, except Volte or auto brightness?
I've got the Indian Phone, but I live in Australia, so Volte doesn't matter for me. But please let me know if there are any other bugs that could create issues for daily usage?
