Navbar icons not centered anymore after dpi change - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
i own an apollo lite with android 6., offical stock rom.
When I changed the density from 485 to 320, the buttons of the navbar aren't centered anymore as you can see on the attached screenshot.
They moved slightly to the left ;(
For setting the dpi, I used the terminal command "wm density 320" and rebooted afterwards.
Does anyone know how to center them again?
Thanks a lot!
Greetings,
lymbra

[Q] How to increase Status Bar height

On CM 10 (JB 4.1.2) the status bar height is very small.
How do we increase only the height of the status bar?.
This is not a dpi resolution question because dpi changes the size of everything on the screen and the intention here is to only increase the status bar height, and of course the size of the contents within the status bar accordingly.
Thanks!
DPI
I think changing the screen DPI would work if you have rooted phone.
status bar height varies by .png 9.png image in systemui.apk.
Also try some trick with styles.xml through decompile & recompile
Or try Screen Density changer app from play store , I think that could help you.
If I help you hit the Sexy:fingers-crossed: Thanks button
I couldn't mod my statusbar height by decompiling and recompiling systemui 3 weeks now. I couldnt find statusbarservice.smali in my device to substitute id and save it. Eventually the tut is for gb only. Can you please help me with my problem. A tut for changing statusbar height without pc in jb would be very very good. Thanks!

[Q] Help set up Dell Streak 5

Hello Everyone,
Few months ago I purchase used DS5. I really like the phone. I have been reading lot's of thread and learned how to root the DS5. Finally I learned but I am still confuse about lot of things. I just now rooted to nom's PCM7 with JB patch and everything works just fine but I am missing status bar and also screen icons are very big for my likings. Also the clock, signal indicator and don't know what else is missing on the top right corner. I tried everything from Cyanogen mod setting to ADW setting but still can't get any of these things show up on my DS5. Could some one please show me how to set up DS5 where I can get clock, status bar and other things that are missing and smaller icons as well. Few post has mention about DPI but I don't know how to change DPI. I have learn some but not all of it so please someone help. I really like nom's PCM7 Rom but don't know how set up properly. Any inputs will appreciated.

Dear friend, you should read on 2nd post, there are instructions how to show up your statusbar.
-go to settings/cyanogenmod settings/ tablet tweaks/choose softbutton then untick or unchoose all option
-go to settings/themes and choose ice10 themes then reboot.
-always reboot after choose a theme
-the statusbar softbutton made the entirely statusbar not show up, thats why do not use it or hide it before change theme.
-to change dpi, go to rom toolbox lite/build.prop editor and search ro.sf.lcd_density=240; change it to 160, 180, 200, or whatever fit to you then reboot.

Change you DPI again, to a lower level (240dpi eq big icons 120dpi small). Also some launcher have settings for that (I use and recomend ADW ex others like GO Launcher).

Small problem with 240 DPI on SystemUI

Hey Guys
I use xposed app settings to set dpi.
So i set SystemUI to have the notification bar show at 240 dpi but for some reason the app usage space is still the same. So there is this gap which is very obvious when i use apex launcher. (Apex launcher seems to add a tint to the background, touchwiz doesn't.) When i open apps the gap is there too but not noticeable since its black.
Am i missing something or am i doing something wrong?

Changing Dots per Inch (oynx)

Hello everyone. I encounter some weird stuffs, which is the dpi. I'm now using exodus ROM on my Oneplus X. I changed the dpi setting from 480 to 400 through exodus setting itself. My screen turned small, app drawer shows 5 columns but not on my homescreen. So I searched through website, and I found out that, I need to change the dpi by editing build.prop. So I did. After I reboot, my homescreen can fit in 5 icons (5 columns, usually only 4, because of 480 dpi). However, my app drawer changed back to 4 columns instead of 5! Anyone know how can I solve this?

How to definitely change DPI

Hi guys,
How can I definitely change the DPI of my device?
The Mi A3 native DPI it's 260 or 360 I guess, but it makes the UI elements so big, and I hate it! So, I came to developer options and changed the DPI to 510 which looks so much better, with small letters, icons, status bar and nav bar. But everytime I reboot our just lock and unlock my phone the icons and all others UI elements return to their normal size, so I need to go again to the developer options and change it again.. Is there a way to fix it? Can I do something using ADB commands? Thx in advance!
Facing same issue....also looking for any adb command or something which do not require root
You can change the display size , and the font. Otherwise you can install nova launcher or lawnchairlauncher V2 where you can make many changes to the size. ( lawnchair launcher v2 is very close to stock launcher with many more customizations )

They're talking about the android 10 bug in which certain elements (power menu, lock screen, notification shade) will revert to their original dpi even after changing the screen size.
Update: I just found the problem, it's in the fingerprint unlock. I just changed the fingerprint lock for a pin and now I can reboot my phone and the DPI doesn't get changed anymore. Now I'm searching for a way to fix it, cause the screen fingerprint it was one of the reasons who make me buy that phone.
Same for me
I also facing the same issue.. for me i used to toggle between dark and white modes then everything will fine..
for rooted device, "wm density" command should work.
