Can't install Global Dev Rom - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

My Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Snapdragon variant is running global stable 8.0.6.0. The updater app shows can't verify the update package every time when I try to update to the latest global beta 6.10.13. Please help me. BTW my BL is locked it gets stuck at 50% when unlocking.

I have the same problem. Already have a unlock permission from Xiaomi. But for unlocking I need to be on dev miui rom. But I cannot install it due to the updater. It displays couldn't verify update package everytime I select zip. I have download the dev rom 4 times but still same problem. Please if anyone can help, I will very much appreciate it.

I've followed everything exactly. Seems like the problem lies with their servers. Will try after one or two days. I'm from Trivandrum.

But I can't flash global developer rom via updater app.
By the way, I see this from another forum, "You have to wait for a week after you received the message about you have the permission to unlock your device."
And also, your Miaccount's device must be registered as Redmi Note 3 Pro, if not ,you have to change that to Redmi Note 3.
i tried on Global Developer Rom but It stuck at 50 % ..... HELP..!!
Hi, there. If you want to flash global developer rom, you must download the zip.(the rom you want to flash/update via updater app) via system's browser, also, flash to global developer rom will wipe your data.
I tried it myself and it really works!
[Edit]
Download the latest rom , or this method can’t fix your problem.[emoji4]

Could u please explain the steps in detail. It will be a great help. I am on 7.3.6 Global Stable
you have to wait a couple of days after first try of unlock.
It's better that you move to developer global.
and do confirm working of mi find my device.

Bootloader Unlock Issue

Hey everybody, I had recently purchased a Redmi Note 4 (SD).
I had applied for bootloader unlock permission and was granted it. I also switched to the Dev version of MIUI. I have enabled OEM unlocking, but under MIUI Unlock status section, when I try add account and device, I get an error code 86012 followed by a Chinese error message. Due to this, the Mi Flash application fails at 50%. I have attached a screenshot of the error below
Any help or explanation to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If you want to stick to MIUI Global Beta don't flash TWRP. Otherwise in my opinion LineageOS 14.1 is really nice if you like a minimalist ROM

How you switched roms? I mean how did you get miui developer rom? I also wanted the developer version of miui but as far as i know one needs to make a dfc cable or unlocked bootloader. So did you used dfc cable.

The dev version of the ROM can be installed using the updater app. You can download the zip and from the updater app select it as the update package. For this you need not use the dfx cable or have an unlocked bootloader.
The only scenario where the cable is needed is when you want to access fastboot when the bootloader is locked and you use EDL mode to flash
Hi, I am having the same situations and its more than 6 days now. I am getting the same message while adding the account in developer options. My question is...
Were you able to add your account in the developer options or it worked without that ?

Lemme elaborate, you got permissions and you tried to unlock bootloader using latest tool, you tried unlocking from the day you got permissions, you keep tryin' to unlock every now and then, you got & still gettin' failed again and again, But every time you try to unlock it says you need to bind your mi account or whatever the error. So, the solution? Dude, not only you, the ones who's got their mi device's unlocked, everyone faced the same error or whatever the issues while unlocking bootloader. Even i faced those problems while unlocking and finally got my device unlocked after 7 days from the permission day.
I'd like to suggest you that, do not switch or change any mi accounts, do not switch Roms to unlock bootloader or do not try every now and then!
Just use your device for a span of 5-7 days from now on and try unlocking at the 5th day or so on.
I repeat do not ever try every now and then or not even everyday, let Xiaomi servers sync... Way to go!
Good luck bud

As i said, just use ugly Miui for a good 5 days or max. 7 days, don't try again and again. And there's an older version, try with that tool. After few days, Cuz latest version asks to bind their mi account, older version doesn't.
Can you try the mi unlock I attached. it's an older version and performs less checking.

Older version of mi tool works too. But you might face 50% stuck error on an older version of tool. So, better stick to Miui for a good 5 days and try unlocking using new tool.

You have to flash Global Dev or China Dev, then you can bind the account without 86006 error, using vpn

as many xda-goers know, in order to install modified roms, you must have the unlocked terminal that must authorize Xiaomi to say for security problems. For Pocofone I had waited 170 hours, I was hoping that even for the mi9 was the same but aime so it is not. If you are not interested in other Roma you do not have to unlock anything, quiet
Did you get the EU version or the Chinese version?
EU version
Interesting, now I downloaded the unlock software without specific permission from xiaomi. I thought that in order to get the software you need to wait. But does the wait start after plugging in the phone? Just checking. I will be getting the phone next week, is there a way to start the procedure without actual phone?
Is the Chinese version also available for bootloader unlock? I am in the US and looking to get one.

MIFlashUnlock does not recognize me the Mi9 in fastboot mode
hello, I have a question for those who tried to unlock the bootloader:
after doing all the unlocking procedures, MIFlashUnlock does not recognize me the Mi9 GLOBAL in fastboot mode while it recognize the Mix3 and the Mi8 lite, according to you how is it possible?
