Flashing - reflashing, wipes, and clear caches = no result, only error.
Snapdragon 820 version Note 7, stock firmware. If you making video >5mins = this error, if you makin video about 1-2mins = all is Ok.
My old videos from Note 3 in this situation can't opens too if it longest 2 minutes.
Files not damaged, all files opened at PC, and MX Player can played this, but stock video player can't.
Any ideas how fix this problem? I need this, because now I making blogs on my Note 7.
Reflashing at older firmware not help't.

I installed last MiniCM7 Pro V7 for my x10 mini pro, and all is working fine except flash player installation.
I mean, in the new rom, V7, the flash player have been erased. So i installed manually the flash player made for the X10 mini cpu i mean the flash player for Armv6. This one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155071
But each time i reboot, in the software manager, it's written again 0KB for flash player.
Flash player manual installation seems to be erased after reboot. How could i keep the installation of the Flash player?
Thanks
Sorry for the double post...
When i reboot, in /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib the libflashplayer.so is erased.
So the deletion of this lib is made during the boot i think, but i didn't find anything like that in init.rc
I'm still a noob on android, but well used to Unix systems so if it's an easy question sorry.
I tried the same but in my case got the "Application not installed" message.
What I did was to use TitaniumBackup to search and remove "Flash Player" and "Flash SVG Player" if they're there, and then installed the Flash Player you posted
Just one weird thing I got was that some flash images were totally black (maybe bad transparency handling) but at least it worked for me.
Good luck!
Okay i will try that tomorrow. Thanks a lot
Installation succeed. But each time i try to watch a video with it, the browser crash...
I tried different .apk, with different releases of flash player for Armv6, all crash...

Yep, I got those crashes too, maybe because it's a too old version, tried to install the new version out there but didn't work
I think it's because it's not optimized for the armv6, as adobe did for the armv7.
It works just for little tiny things in flash. Well better than nothing
Hello, I'm a new member here. I've browsed the forums from time to time but never registered until today because I'm in need of some help.
After browsing and searching online and on this forum, I haven't seen anyone with a problem similar to mine.
So, being brief:
Not a single type of video is playable on my phone. Youtube.com, YouTube App, videos from my phone's SD Card, videos I recorded with this phone a few days ago, nothing. Videos I was able to watch on my phone before also suddenly stopped working. I also can't record videos.
On the other hand, my camera works perfectly, so does the music player.
I haven't added any weird adds or anything of the sort. I've attached screenshots of my "About Phone" info, and two other screenshots of what it looks like when I try to play videos on the YouTube App and videos that are directly saved on my phone.
If help is available, I'll appreciate it highly.
Thanks in advance!
Pedro.
P.S. I'm posting here continuing from the Galaxy S I9000 General forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27504129#post27504129).
Since then, I've done the following:
-Rebooted the system and re-installed the latest Kernel version.
-Uninstalled and re-installed YouTube.
-Installed MX Player. This solved the problem I faced while playing videos from my phone, but still can't watch videos from YouTube.
-Went through my Apps and found that I'm missing the Video Player app (click picture)
-Facroty Reset to no avail.
I'm running out of ideas right about now. I've had this phone for about a month and a half, and installed ICS on it on day 3 or so. Ever since, the videos were working properly, lagless and flawlessly, just a few days ago problems started appearing.
Perhaps the Video Player apk would do? I can't seem to find it anywhere for my phone.
Thanks a lot!

Well, had to install another custom ROM. It seems the one I had wasn't compatible with the Kernel I was using. Problem has been solved, and now I'm using 4.0.4, so it's all good!
Thanks a lot for the constant help!

Hello, in order not to start a new thread, I'm gonna post here.
I have a chinese tablet(Herotab C8) with I9000 internals(S5PC110).
I have some green artifacts in the upper left corner on youtube videos(using Youtube app) and also in some games intro videos. On some games videos I have green artifacts, on others I have some strange horizontal lines.
Here is an example, filmed by me:
http://youtu.be/pczqsus_v6U
The first, with the green stuff is a youtube app video, the next is the intro of NFS Hot Pursuit.
I've tried an .avi on Mobo Player and it works just fine, no green artifacts(although in software mode, ARMv7 codecs installed...)
If anyone has any ideea, please share!
Thanks!
hi any one,
Im flashing the [CM10][26.9][alpha] ROM on my mediapad.
When I used MX player playing a RMVB video on fullscreen module, the screen is black.
What is wrong with me?
May be problem in mx player, may be not, but there were some updates to it in recent time. I havent seen any problems with mkv videos with mx player.
Try to use Dice player or another one or update mx player to the latest version if its not.
If nothing helps, you can upload video somewhere so i can download it and reproduce problem and then try to understand whats wrong.

thank you for your reply
Test video is in ww w.mediafire.com/ ?rx8lhfw27xfcv7q (I cant write a url)
I think the problem is "software decode".
When the video can be "hardware decode",this is no problem, even if a 1080P video.
So i think its mx player problem I have tried a couple of different videos additionally - and yes, sometimes i see black screen, but no problems with stock or dice players.

I also have video problems with alpha4.
Neither the Youtube app ("There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry") nor the Google Play Movies app or the TED app are working.
In alpha3 all was fine.

Yes. Installed alpha4 over alpha3. Did a factory reset afterwards with TWRP. Installed the youtube app and did the test.

Your logcat says that it cant allocate buffers for pmem/adsp.
Code:
E/OMX-VDEC-1080P( 171): open failed for pmem/adsp for input buffer
E/OMXNodeInstance( 171): OMX_AllocateBuffer failed with error -2147479552 (0x80001000)
But thats impossible, because i have switched vidc to ion allocation. I suggest that you are using alpha 3 with new kernel from alpha 4 or reverse.
My last advice about this problem: try to download alpha 4 again, then copy to device, reboot in twrp, make factory reset, wipe system/, wipe dalvik, wipe dalvik-cache, then install alpha 4 zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?1bbgoo4t39oi74e), gapps for jb (http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip) and reboot in os.
If this doesnt help - i give up I can make a video of how im watching youtube or any other video if you want

Hi friends
I have bought a new Tablet, karbonn ST 8 with Android jelly bean as OS. As I am opening YouTube. com in my browser, the video component is not playing, I can only hear the sound. I have used both the Stock Android browser and preinstalled Google Chrome.
Under setting > application, I can see Flash player 11.1 installed, but still, the problem exists.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Jellybean 4.1 does not support Flash, but is there a workaround?
Well, it seems that the trouble is with the OS itself, Adobe has stopped providing Flash compatibility with Android JB. So, is there any workaround? I have searched and tried different methods including one of the Flash packages available here. But as soon as I try to install the flash package, I receive a failure notice, informing that there is already another package installed of the same signature. But still, I can not play any YouTube video in my browser.
Is there any work around of this problem?
Thank you
I just got a new Moto X Play XT1563 (not even 1 week of use) it's rooted and flashed with an 6.0.1 AOSP (This one).
What happened is that I took some pictures and made 4 video files. Since then I've watched the video a couple of times with no issue whatsoever. However, today I was going to show it to a friend and.. I couldn't open it. Very strange, tried to reboot and still nothing. Then I decided to see their properties and to my surprise all of them have 0 bytes. I have no idea what happened and how it happened. Since the videos were from my kids I would like to retrieve them if possible. They were saved in the Internal Storage as I haven't yet put a Micro SD card to the phone. I tried searching with Recuva in Windows, but couldn't get to the Internal Storage. Also tried Tenorshare's Android Data Recovery in Windows, but it stumps asking for root, says to wait 3-5 minutes and nothing happens even though I did give it root access on the phone.. With the phone I tried MP4Fix, but it didn't help.
Could anyone help me retrieving the videos or at least give me an explanation to why this happened so I can prevent this from happening in the future?
I have the app Focus Picture Gallery installed, and had the videos tagged, not sure if this matters or not.
I've read a guy recommending DiskDigger and GT Data Recovery. Did anyone here have a good experience or can recommend me something else?
I've tried DiskDigger with root enabled, but was able to rescue only one video that was some Motorola Intro, so it had nothing to do with the 4 videos I was looking for.. Is this hopeless?
