Low usage cpu temperature monitor app WITH history? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been playing around with a few very high CPU usage apps (VRidge mostly), and my CPU, not battery, gets very hot while doing so. Is there a halfway decent CPU temperature monitor app that will track the history to a reasonable degree of granularity? I found one awhile back, but it only tracked the cpu temp in 30 minute intervals, which is useless to me.

[Q] X10 CPU speed stays low after idle

I'm having the problem that my X10 was slow when using it after a longer period of idle. I installed SystemPanel to check out which app was causing this. There I found out that it wasn't a particular app (although FaceRecognition does pop out sometimes), but the CPU is used for 100%, staying at 245MHz. The time it takes to get to 1000MHz is total arbitrary, and it's usually staggers around between this range instead of staying at 1000MHz.
Is it allright that the CPU speed keeps changing within this range ? And does anyone have an idea whats causing the CPU to stay at 245 MHz for too long after being idle ?
Default battery plan is set to "ondemand", which means the cpu will automatically adjusts itself regarding usage. But it's weird indeed it stays at 245MHz, as on mine it often goes to 998MHz just for few things
You can force/restore it with setcpu (maybe) ?
Altough your phone is lagging, your battery should stand for weeks with this clock

Does restriction the max cpu speed while screen off really save battery?

If I set the Max CPU clock speed of my screen off profile to be the same as my mininum CPU speed (378 Mhz), will this really save my battery when my phone is idle with screen off?
The only thing that really runs in the background on my phone are the occassional Gmail and Dropbox photo syncs. One on hand, by allowing my phone to use the full range of clock speed, it can complete the necessary tasks faster and go back to deep sleep faster. But on the other, by restricting the clock speed to a low speed, it's using less battery while running but for a longer time.
Which scenario is best for saving battery?

What are your average battery and cpu temperature

Hi all,
I just want to know your average battery and CPU temperature. Since some people got heat issue (device getting warm even normal use), it may be useful to share your results.
After standing by for an hour then 2 min of browsing the internet with full wifi signal, 26C room temp, mine are
41-42C CPU
34C battery
Then 7.49 mins of Youtube HD streaming
50C CPU
37C battery
(Firmware.402)

What kind of app do you use to give you temp reading?

Same here, seems to be the normal temperature for this phone,fw 17.1.A.2.55

Operating temps for Z5C and battery

As a new owner of the Z5C (rly impressed so far ) I couldn't help but notice the heat, courtesy of the SD810 I assume.
So i've started monitoring the temps for the past few days with CPU-Z and Cpu Temperature.
For the most part while doing everyday tasks such as phone calls, news, music, Whatsapp and so on the temperature is around 30-40ish which seems reasonable and causes no concern.
Whilst doing something more intense such as running a game, installing/updating app, or recording video the temperature jumps to around 45-60 which again seems reasonable.
There are sudden momentary (2 second) spikes to 70's 80's usually while doing heavy R/W tasks such as installing an app.
Battery temps usually hover around high 20's to mid 30's whilst doing normal tasks and during more intense tasks can jump up to around 40ish.
I was wondering if other users here who also bothered to monitor their thermals are experiencing similar results or not?
Also am curious to know if someone knows what the msm_thresh threshold is for the Z5C i've noticed mine topping at around 41..
Thanks
I have been getting pretty much similar results, albeit a bit lower temps due to disabling a few cores. Those temps are perfectly fine, as long as the battery dosen't get to the high 40's. The throttling stats when the battery reaches 43°C and clears when it get down to 41°C, you can find the throttling thresholds in the file called thermal-engine.conf located in /system/etc/

Overheat Protection App

So as we all know, the OnePlus X heats up a lot. I was wondering if there was some application that could keep constantly checking the CPU temperature and display a warning when the temperature goes above a certain limit, say for example, 60 degrees. Is there an app that can do this?
