Is there any fix available to disable the battery drain due to mobile radio active data bug in marshmalllow stock oxygen os rom?
There is no fix for that bug. As soon as you turn cellular data on, "Android OS" will eat all your battery juice
I was forced to rollback to lollipop. It is still there, but much less aggressive.
I'm interested on it too... I have tested every fix I have found and it is still present even in Nougat.
If Google doesn't fix it, don't think anyone can do it, and seems that Google has no interest in do it ðŸ¤
Not just Android OS, Google Play Services, WhatsApp, and many other Apps make the radio mobile active. No matter if you use a Wakelock Blocker or Greenify, the drain is there.
And the worst is that Google has no interest in fix it, don't know the reason...
I'm really rating buy a non Android phone when I finish with my OPX...
I really love to play with Android devices, that bug makes me hate from android. Battery is longer with wifi 6 hours SOT. When mobile data active SOT max 3.5 - 4 hours. I will throw it from window.

Hi,
I have a Galaxy 5 with Cyanogen 7.1, android 2.3.7...
I have some trouble with those apps from the title.
First off all, I use my mobile 20% of the time using those apps, and others, and the others 80% is in standby.. (wifi off, data off and only 2g)...
But when I have those apps installed, my battery drains so much (even when I don't use them, probably because the services runs in background)...
Is there a way to let those apps run only when I use data/wifi ?
I currently use the Power Control to enable Sincro when Wifi/Data is on, wich helps a little, but not a lot, the apps services still runing on background.
until a few days ago i was getting decent battery life but now battery easily drops around 40 percent overnight without any usage.. when i checked battery usage (I'm on IC) android system and google services had 21% each.. when i try to use amplify/unbounce from xposed, phone lags and random reboots and greenify doesn't help that much either...
is there something i can do?
Maybe you can try disable service and appopsxposed

Try disabling google now, turn off location, wipe cache and dalvik and check if the issue still persists. If yes, try downgrading google play services.
The best way to figure out battery drain is to install either better battery stats or wakelock detector and see which services/apps cause the drainage. I specifically stopped using and uninstalled google now (as much as I like it) and keep location tracking/gps off until I need it because of this very reason. Add in greenify and results are huge improvement in battery. Phones are useless if you don't have battery for its main purpose, phones calls and internet usage.

First of all, turning of location services and Google Now solved the problem for me. From now on I only turn on location services when I really need it (for example Google Maps)
Now another thing you could try is this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playfulgeeks.gservicefix
Seems to have fixed the problem for many (check the reviews)
After having run 'Better Battery Stats' for several days and after several recharges, these were the following apps causing battery drain. This includes partial wakeups, Alarms, network use and processes.
The top apps for biggest battery loss were:
Whatsapp
Beautiful Widgets
Firefox
Swiftkey Keyboard
Gmail
Life 360
Other apps causing slight to moderate battery drain:
Google Play Store/Services
Album
Battery Doctor
Devices
DS Battery Saver
Handset SMS
Power Amp
Surf Easy
Talkray
Despite force closing the apps, they keep re-opening even though the internet is not running and the phone is supposed to be asleep...
Greenify is even running 24/7 but doesn't seem to help with the above apps. Hibernating all the above apps seem to make little to no difference and high battery usage is still an issue...
On screen time is just 2 hours 36 minutes and battery is at 23% and draining very fast with no use at all.
Any other way to stop the above apps from draining so much battery?
I've tried many different roms, kernals and apps but battery drain is an issue regardless...
Just come back from lunch. Battery is now 17%
Why has it dropped from 23% to 17% over a 2 hour period? The phone has not even been touched since I left it in the office...
Is it possible I have a defective battery or would it be due to bad apps?

Hi.
I'm using Stock ROM (4.4.4). I have more than a hundred of apps installed and my battery time is more than 5 hours with heavy use (screen on). I can't even imagine how many days the battery could work with the screen off.
Is the weak battery mode activated? Is Stamina on? Have you checked your battery details on the config panel? And what about the internet use? Is auto-synch off or at least are you scheduling when the apps can download background data? What about the system statistics about background data?
Are the GPS and bluetooth off when you're not using them? Please also remember wifi use way less battery than other mobile connections; that battery goes away faster with more brightness on the screen; and that you can get some more minutes if you let the auto-rotate off.
Have you checked if some app is preventing the "deep sleep" state?
If I was on your shoes, I'd uninstall all the 3rd-party battery utilities (even Greenify!) and I'd restart my Z Ultra.
^ Thanks for the reply Andre Verissimo. I too have 4.4.4 stock rom and only around 25 apps installed...
Stamina mode (power saving mode) is on 24/7 and brightness is set to around 50%.
I never use GPS/Satellite, bluetooth or data/mobile connection...
Auto sync and backround data are disabled...
I did track apps causing high usage. They were whatsApp, Firefox, Google Play, Battery Doctor & DS Battery Saver.
I'll try uninstalling several apps and see if it helps...
Seems I finally solved the battery leak issue.
I prevented bad apps from auto starting as well as to close once the phone has been put to sleep.
In other words, the battery will only be drained when in use. However, the phone appears to be in deep sleep since I manually set 'Battery Doctor' to kill/close apps when not in use as well as stop them from auto starting...
Only the battery draining apps have been selected to do so...
My phone has been on for 24 hours hours and my battery is still 85%
I will monitor battery usage over the next couple of days and report back with any update.
Regarding Beautiful Widgets: Are you talking about the free version or the paid one?
I am on the paid one (Pro) and it shows up as 0.3% on GSAM Battery Monitor. If you have experienced drain on that version, I will look for a different clock widget then (i.e. that it actually drains noticeably but in such a way that it doesn't show up as such).
I have the impression that the free version of Beautiful Widgets could be a drainer since it seems to be very happy to push a lot of ads and stuff.
Will try Battery Doctor and compare with Greenify.
Edit: I think Greenify is working properly on my device, i.e. it hibernates the apps properly.
your network signal greatly affects your battery and that will not show up on your battery usage stats

I'm on the paid version of Beautiful Widgets. The app has only affected my Processes. Usage is 9% . However, there are no alarms or wakeups from the app since I disabled them both using per app hacking...
I will search for an alternative to Greenify to hibernate apps. Only 3-4 apps are opening despite force closing and even preventing startup, alarms and wakeups...
Regardless of what I do, the following apps continue to run and launch even when not opened:
Photo Analyzer software
Mirror Link System
Devices
WhatsApp
Xperia extension for throw
Sweep Panorama
Creative effects
Camera
Albums
Screen Mirroring
How can I prevent the above apps from automatically launching and running? I blocked all listed programs from launching using both Battery Doctor & per app hacking yet they still re-open and run...

Very true. Where I work, reception is VERY poor since I'm in a large factory high up...

There are quite a few threads on this already including what I wrote (pasted below).
<<<<
I had two types of standby battery drain - mobile data and wifi. I have fixed both of them through lots of trial and error. From my testing and looking on XDA at similar experiences of people on other phones, these are bugs in Android rather than anything Elephone can fix through updates (I'm on the latest 20160419 update).
I fixed the mobile data problem by creating Tasker profiles to keep the phone on 2G whilst it's connected to wifi. I can't post links yet but a search on XDA/Google will find you these profiles. Maintaining a 4G connection is unnecessary whilst on wifi, besides, some people have problems receiving calls on this phone whilst on 4G. If the phone is not connected to wifi (rare in London because it's everywhere even on public transport) 4G comes on. Best of both worlds.
The wifi drain solution sounds counterintuitive but it is simply to set it to 'always on'. With both of these measures, my standby drain has been 1% overnight for the last two nights and roughly 0.25%/hour during the day. Standby drain on 4G whilst moving around London with location on at least quadruples battery drain to around 1-2%/hour.
Some of my other settings will have an impact too. I find the auto-brightness calibration of the P9000 poor, so adjust brightness manually (which also saves battery life). NFC, bluetooth, etc. I only turn on when needed. I use Greenify and have all apps Greenified except Tasker, Textra, and Hangouts. I haven't Greenified any system apps except Google Maps. Location is always on but mostly device only (again counterintuitive, you'd expect it to be 'battery saving') unless I am moving around in which case I have a Tasker profile to automatically switch it to 'high accuracy'.
I tried to get Xposed working so that I could use Amplify too (see my other post) but that didn't work. Since I'm very happy with battery life now that's not that important anymore though it would be nice for the further tweaks it makes possible.
There are too many other variables to list and everybody's phone is set up differently. However, hopefully using some of the main big gains I've listed above you can fix your wifi drain specifically and improve standby drain generally.
Well, it's somewhat problably what keeps the phone awake, this occurs after factory reset, i already did the Tricks you've listed and on screen Features and so on are all off, there are no Apps who should keep the phone awake Cause it's happening Straight after factory reset so there are no other Apps..
Push
Finger print sensor or DT2W for sure. Disable them
On the latest ROMs it is the finger print sensor. Turn it off or go back to 20160810
Hello! I've been trying to investigate battery drain issues on my Z5C (with nougat) for the last week. It's been quite the annoying experience, to be frank.
Here is a screenshot from Wakelock detector LITE: http://imgur.com/a/2Ljyv
As you can see, for about 13-14 hours, with 30 minute of screen time, these wakelocks have built up to numbers like 20,000, or 70,000, etc. I am not sure if this is normal, but to be fair it seems like it absolutely isn't normal.
I have only used the screen to browse google wakelock searches in these 30 mins, more or less, and to check the wakelock app itself.
Furthermore, I tried using Greenify and it did slow my screen turn-on time considerably. I uninstalled it. My delay with screen wake-up remained... It was a huge mistake to try this app as it seems to have broken my OS and introduced unexplained OS lag at random times, which I did NOT have before at all.
Do you think a factory reset can solve this?
I am starting to think about rolling back to 6.0.1 and staying there forever with root and xposed. This type of erratic phone behavior really plays a number on my nerves.
thanks for reading!
go back and just restrict every non-system sony/xperia and as much of the google things as you can without restricting play service/store or framework
