Device not recognized in fastboot mode - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
Recently I've been trying to flash TWRP but without any success. Device is recognized when booted to system but not in fastboot mode.
Tried different drivers, none of them worked. Only thing that worked was flashing it in a school computer so I guess it's about my windows or something.
Nevertheless, after flashing twrp I had a system update which unrooted my phone and installed the stock recovery back.
Any suggestions what to do?

[Q] P7510 (p4wifi) Bootloop - tab doesn't connect to odin

Hi Guys!
I have a problem with my P7510.
My tab is on a bootloop
Stock recovery and download mode work
BUT
Tab is not recognized by PC or Odin
Wiping cache and factory reset don't solve this :crying:
This happened after i installed A1 Kernel on Infamous Rom 4.0.4, looking for USB charging. After installing it, no matter what, the PC wouldn't recognize the tablet (no notifications of any kind. Couldn't even find the tab on device manager. tested it on 3 computers, installing and reinstalling drivers, and the same error kept happening), it just charges it's battery. Tried several Roms and Kernels, but the problem was still there
Trying to find a solution i considered installing a stock firmware from samsung, but without USB recognition from my computer, i couldn't use ODIN3 1.85, but i stumbled upon MOBILE ODIN, so i used it to flash a stock firmware, but after a succesfull flash, the tab went into a bootloop. Tried wiping cache and factory reset,on the STOCK RECOVERY (not CWM) and the tab kept bootlooping :crying:
So, to recover my Tab, i need ODIN, but i can't use ODIN since my PC (and therefore ODIN) doesn't recognize my tablet.
So here's when i ask you ¿What can i do to recover my tablet? ¿Should i send it to a technician?
Thanks in advance
Sebastian
Some aclarations:
-I use odin as administrator on windows 7 32 bit
-i don't have Kies on the background
-I instaled and reinstalled the tab drivers
-I looked for the tablet on device manager. I didn't find it.
-The PC doesn't respond at all when i plug the Tablet (no notifications or sound),
Maybe you can try using ADB while your tab is in the Recovery mode.
I accidentally wiped my /sdcard fs and used this method to push a custom rom in the /data/media fs.
Since your Recovery mode is working, you can try to flash a new rom.
ADB Still works on Stock Recovery? (not CWM or TWRP)

My recovery is the STOCK samsung recovery, not CWM are you sure ADB still works with it?
Thanks for your reply, anyways

[Q] Bootloop, Cant seem to fix it.

I'm new to rooting and all of this type of thing, i figured I would first start with my HTC Flyer. I successfully unlocked the bootloader, and installed SuperUser, upon installing greenify and i tried to install the Xposed Framework, and my device now is stuck in a boot loop.
When enter the bootloader and do a factory reset or try to enter factory it completely freezes, and when i try to connect it to my PC via fastboot the PC says that the USB device that is connected cannot be recognized and fastboot will not work. Did i completely fry this device? Also if you have time I couldnt figure out a proper way to flash a custom rom so if anyone has a guide for that I would appreciate a link to that as well.
Thank you so much!!

I really need some help!!

I was running CM12 and everything was fine. I received a notification to update to CM 13 and I selected yes. It installed OK, but no GAPPS. I tried everything I could think of to install GAPPS, and kept getting errors. IN my frustrated efforts, something happened to my TWRP and now I only have CM Recovery. I'm trying to reinstall TWRP but my phone is being recognized as a "Marshall London Bootloader Interface" ONLY when in the Fastboot and Recovery mode. I have Huawei Hisuite installed and it recognizes the phone fine when powered on, but as soon as I boot into Fastboot and Rescue mode, it reverts to the MLB interface. I am at my wits end as to how to get my PC to recognize my phone properly when in Fastboot and recovery. I did try removing and reinstalling drivers when in Fastboot, but the Marshall Interface keeps on getting inserted. Any suggestions?????? (I also seem to have erased the SD card that has my original system backup files on it. I tried to flash several downloaded stock ROMs using CM recovery, but they all error out. )
I was finally able to re load TWRP using the Huawei Hi Suite. I flashed Carbon ROM and GAPPS and everything seems to be OK but I still cannot use ADB because the phone is recognized by Windows as a Marshall device ONLY when in bootloader mode and ADB does not find the device. When I connect normally it is recognized as a Mate 2 and it connects normally to Hi Suite. I have no idea what could be wrong, but I have read of other people who have this mysterious "Marshall" device show only up when in bootloader mode. Anyone have any ideas????? Can I go back to stock from here if I don't have a saved recovery image to see if I can fix this???
I have no idea what Marshall device means. Is it possible to place the stock 5.1 ROM on a blank micro SD card and follow the flashing instructions? (boot to download mode or whatever it's called)

I explained what "Marshall Device" is in the first post. I ended up going back to stock (322) and loosing root. I then updated to 5.1 using the SD card. Everything seems to be working OK. Maybe I'll root again and start over when I have more time.

Serious problem

Hello, XDA-Members,
long story short, I tried to flash CM-13 on my Honor 5X(KIW-L21 B340). Well, that didn't work and the phone always booted into TWRP. So I flashed FlymeOS because I couldn't flash the stock rom anymore(No matter why.).
It worked perfectly, and I were able to use my phone. After restarting my phone it booted back into TWRP, tried to wipe and all that stuff and even re-flashed Flyme OS, but still booted into TWRP. I was so UPSET that I deciced to flash the original RECOVERY.img for my Honor 5X. Well and from there I made it worse.
Windows and Linux don't recognize my phone. Windows just shows an empty E:\ drive. Reinstalled Google USB drivers, reinstalled driver etc. Didn't work. Now, when I start my phone it boots into the honor 5x recovery. I got these options available:
- Reboot system now
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
So, well. I can't install a rom anymore. As well when trying to connect my phone to ADB it won't work either. ADB doesn't recognize my phone. I made a big bull****, tbh. Installed HI-Care as well, but it doesn't get recognized either. I can also boot into Huawei eRecovery, connect to my wifi because it says it can download the stock rom. Guess what, it always said failed so I'm not able to do this either.
I'm really stuck. Anybody got an idea? Thanks in advance!

Shut down the phone
plug the phone into your windows PC
hold volume down + power to enter the bootloader
from windows open the command prompt - type fastboot devices hit enter (your phone serial number will display)
type fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img (be sure to use this TWRP and it's named TWRP.img and in the same folder as fastboot)
after the file is flashed successfully hold power + volume up + volume down
after 5 seconds let go of power and continue to hold the volume buttons until TWRP boots
From TWRP you can now copy the CM13.zip and Gapps.zip to your phone and wipe/factory reset - then install them one by one
be sure their are no errors .. if you see errors choose reboot recovery and try the flash again until it succeeds.
first boot of cm13 will take some time, be patient
Thanks,
I recovered my phone. Awesome!

Can't get into fastboot or recovery mode

I had TWRP installed and all was good. Then I tried an OTA update. Update failed and now I can't get into recovery or fastboot. When I try it stops at the 1+ logo with Fastboot Mode written under the logo. This happens if I try Volum Up + power button or adb reboot-bootloader. Device is listed with ADB but won't show up for fastboot.
How do I get back to stock recovery and get the update installed?
Thanks!
Is fastboot installed properly on your PC?
Drivers?
If not and you get it working, you can use fastboot to flash a new recovery. Otherwise read ahead.
Does your phone boot? Is it rooted?
If so, you can try to flash a new recovery via tools like FlashFire, Flashify, Rashr, etc.
If none of those work for you, you can try the un-bricking methods.
I've had my Oneplus 2 hardbrick 3 times on me so far. The solution was to put the phone into a Qualcomm QHUSB_BULK mode, installing unsigned drivers in Windows, and using Chinese software to push recovery files to your phone.
For my first two hard bricks (My phone wasn't responding to anything - it would just show up in the device manager when plugged into the PC). I was able to write the stock recovery and boot files onto my phone by using Method 1 from this OnePlus Forums thread: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...ck-guide-for-a-hard-bricked-oneplus-2.347607/.
I was then able to boot to recovery and dirty flash my OS without any data loss this way.
The last hard brick was much worse and required me to completely reinstall everything on my phone via one of the other methods (I used this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/oneplus-solution-hard-bricked-device-t3183449 and ended up with H2OS, which I then replaced with OOS 3.1.0) - if it comes to that I would recommend checking out the other methods in the OnePlus Forum link below to hopefully avoid going through H2OS - but if not, this one worked.
Also, for updates: You'll need to to reflash (dirty flash) your rom first (this is to unroot/undo any modifications you made to the system, otherwise the OTA will fail) and then flash the OTA. You should be able to use TWRP for this.
Thanks for the reply. Got fastboot working on a different computer.
Phone boots just fine. Not rooted. Just can't access recovery mode or install updates
I tried loading stock recovery (as per this thread) with no change. Thinking I'll have to treat it like it's bricked. Would rather not have to wipe phone though, but doesn't look like I have much choice .
For the past two days I had faced the issue of connecting the device in fastboot mode. Mobile is working fine, loaded with latest firmware OTA updates from OnePlus.
I would like to install TWRP on my mobile but the device is getting detected in the fastboot mode. Tried various steps, reinstalled adb & fastboot as well as OnePlus drivers nothing works. However my mobile is being detected in the adb mode. If I run the command adb devices, it displays my mobile serial number but in fastboot it just sits at the waiting for the device screen.
After a lot of googling, xda search & Oneplus forums search, nothing found. Then I tried reinstalling the adb interface drivers manually, where I have noticed that Win10 installed the latest drivers adb drivers updated in the month of Sep16. Here I have selected the older version driver which was released in the year 2014 and installed it successfully. I run the fastboot devices command again Voila... It worked. no restart, no rebooting the phone. Immediately worked.
Lesson learnt : - Always do not use latest drivers, sometimes try the older drivers if something is not working in your phone.
