Hello Friends,
I had Redmi Note 3 but due to some circumstances it got damaged and had to sent it to service centre, I gave my fone on 1st September to Service centre and i will be getting my handset tmmrw i.e 12th Nov. so its been almost two months that i was without my handset, nd due to same i have lost trackings on rom developments.
Meanwhile cm14 got relased and then 14.1, i see many threads on rom based on 14.1, hence can someone suggest me the rom which has the least bug for now and its frequently updated ??
You can try latest build of Santhosh M's 14.1 ..
build is very fluid and smooth. Can be used as daily driver. Very few bugs like VoLTE (second Sim losts signal sometimes but can be fixed by flashing firmwares and modified radio zips). Camera needs improvements, Battery Style cant be changed.
Enjoy Nougat

I installed VN ROM 13.1 some 4 months ago.It was great a really great ROM.So , on August 22 2014 , I flashed the new update 14.1. The thing is that I am xda user since 3 years but I recently signed up here and its hard for me to post on certain forum , because of newbie status.
The thing I want to tell is that after updating to new version 14.1 my phone was heating up badly and my battery status dropped. The screen time is only 2 hours 30 minutes. But I guess it will improve. So as being a newbie user but not a status.
I have a question. That can I update to official samsung rom, because I guess I have different kernel , I don't know, the picture of my phone detail is as follows with my antutu benchmark status. Please tell me that with my this kernel can i update to samsung official firmware??
MY PHONE STATUS OF VN-ROM 14.1 is as follows. Since the phone is heating up badly and my battery is draining , I want another ROM , or I need an update from VN -ROM team itself. THANK YOU.
P.S : I cannot post this in VN ROM thread because of newbie status
Sincerely, Awan K Shrestha
Well i bought mi redmi note 3 kenzo in sort of thinking that it must posses some high level dev activities, but now i am thinking that i proved wrong, even after 4 months of launching this device ,it yet not get official cm support or any stable cm rom .every time when i open rn3 thread found every build has lot of bugs like
1.mic and speaker error
2.earphone bug
3.bt mac and other mac address diff.
4.unstable rils like wifi as reported by testers
5.camera fc errors
6.different fing. Sen. Remain unrecog.
7.proximity sensor error
8.sim related issues like volte and sim switch problems
9.battery bug
10.min. Brightness bug in rr latest 2-07-2016 build
11.and many others like media codecs bug,mtp transfer file bug
12.low quality camera
Even after this devs release them as stable daily driving . Why its development is too slow even at this earlier stage ?????
I dont know what will happen later on.... With this device
Never seen such issues in prior mi devices or other released phones .
Even mi devs seems less interested in this device (thats why they released miui 8 on 5.1 rather than 6.0.1)
After a big positive responses in sales of this device from buyers ,why they seems drawing back supports for global ones, even after being global one co. ,it remains stucked majorly with chinese .at least they should take care of indian market which warmly accepted and reposed in xiaomi .

There are many [unoffical/official]roms as of now , that are stable on 6.0.1 . Flash the roms yourself and then try it . Dont make decisions on the comments/replies on the tread itself . Building a stable rom is very time consuming and CM maintains roms of more than 1000+ devices , please wait until they decide to make it stable .

I am running Krexus BUILD-3 and I have none of the above bugs. Everything is running perfectly. Before, I was on Krexus BUILD-1 and even that was very stable, beside the Mobile Network FC bug.
Just want to ask if it still locks bootloader if we flash any cm13 or cm13 based roms? Or even aosp roms? This is the reason I am uet to flash any custom rom.

Same here
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA Free mobile app
One more vote for Mokee!
Just try it yourself.
You never know if you not try these ROMs.
try nexus experience rom
This is old thread
CM13 snapshot by thestrix is the best imo...
Nexus Experience is cool too + ressurrection remix
Finally managed to officially unlock bootloader, but since I started that process over 2 weeks ago, a lot has happened in the Rom and development forum. I was originally going for CM13, but I'm not longer sure if that's a good idea.
I mostly use my phone as a music player, and it runs most of the day while I'm at work. I occasionally send calls and text messages.
I got the RMN3 for the battery and significantly larger screen than what I had before. Phone plans in canada are god awful and as such I got literally no data on my plan, so outside of home wifi, I got no internet on it.
The reason I want a custom rom is mainly to remove bloat and improve battery life, and maybe add a few functions/ behaviours.
I don't really care about the fingerprint sensor, should it not work, but having the camera non-functional is a no-go.
I'm not really interested in constantly having to flash an update on my phone. I just want one good, stable rom with little to no bloat that will do what I'll ask it to, with a good battery life, without crashing. Updating once every month or so would be reasonable. I heard that Android 7(+) had some battery life improvements (Doze?) so I'm conflicted as to rom and android versions.
I'm pretty new to Android, and I'm completely overwhelmed by the many different types of roms, along with the many different versions of the same rom (Example: many CM14/14.1 builds).
There's a lot of guides, but most of them seem out of date.
Device: Global Dev, Kenzo
Any suggestions? (If possible, please also include which version of TWRP you would recommend)
I personnally own the Kate version and flashed the official CM13 ROM built for Kenzo on it.
Everything is working fine for me, including the fingerprint sensor and the camera.
I also use the phone to listen to music all day at work and it worked really well with good battery life.
About the TWRP version I used, honestly I don't remember very well since I tried a few and the reason was something to do with the Kate device I believe, so you may not have to use the same version of TWRP.

any stable rom with interactive gov
Hi, you mentioned stock ROM (not Cyanogen or Nexus experience, just stock). Where could I get that from?
I'm on beanstalk ROM (android 7.1) loving it!
Try krexus-CAF!
You could go for the official build of RR with Radon kernel
welcome to the race, mate
well if you want to improve battery life you are recomended to flash AOSP-Based roms . miui and cm-based roms have battery drain issue (i can't explain why, but i can say that because i tried them)
my recomendation would be Cardinal AOSP
try rr remix 5.7.4 with radon kernel...
I've been sticking to Pie bases custom roms till the time Android 10 roms become stable. Now I notice, many have changed their status to stable from beta, so was wondering if I should take the plunge now. Normally, I don't wait that long as have been flash junky previously but these days I have some work related apps on my phone, some of which can't be backed up and require support from IT team of my org to set it back up.
I've been going through threads of some a10 custom roms (cr, havoc, etc) and noticed some common bugs:
1. SELinux status - Don't care
2. Volte issues on some networks - It is imp. Does volte work without any issues on Jio (india) and preferably Idea/VF too (on both sims)
3. Encryption - Don't care, I mostly flash DFE anyway
4. Whatsapp Audio calls - Important. Some mentioned audio not coming correctly
5. Magisk - unable to pass safetynet. Although imp but not a show stopper
6. v4a - important. But i think its working now with some workarounds
7. f2fs - I think it works but just to confirm otherwise i have to format the storage
Are there any other bug besides this? And what is status for 2 and 4? If anyone can also comment on battery life and overall stability compared to Pie it will be helpful
its not long enough to start expecting fully backed custom rom on Android 10. I remember the switch from Oreo to Pie was disaster too! where from P to Q its much smoother.
this is why many (including myself) is currently on update suported version of Pie (Crdroid) and AOSIP (akhil narang) released latest build yesterday which is on PIE too.
frankly I will give atleast couple of months in order to have all Dirty Unicorn Customizations & other cosmetic affects to work properly!

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking same thing too. Maybe, once xiaomi releases a10 update source, things will gather speed.
Is there anyone who still hasn't received the new update I'm still on MIUI Global Stable 11.0.9(QEJMIXM)
MIUI12 is still for pilot and beta testers. You can manually flash the ROM (available in XDA), but I dont recommend it. I flashed it and it was ok at first but the build I got had some stutters and lags and at times it was so bad that I had to restart the device a lot. Had to flash sphinx, then NGK kernel to fix it. Also, there's news that the beta build seems to be having overheating issues (mostly when using cam), but rest assured that it will come as its about to release beta. Dont quote me, but maybe by end of month (so long as they fix the overheating issue this week)
