Hello, I hope I am right here.
Last week I dropt my Nexus 4. I loved it except the fact that i cant remove the battery. I had Cyanagen Mod + Multiboot with stock 5.1.
So i decided to buy a new one that should have these features:
-removable battery
-an open source os available
-fast device encryption
-LTE
-good, fast connection in mobile network and wifi
Display >3,5
-Battery > 1500 mAh
the s5 is really good make sure if you get one buy a g900f g900t or g900p but not a g900a or g900v the g900v the g900v and g900a are locked down by too much security and are hard to work with
Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk I also own a g900v
hmm, looks good, but it seems that encryption doesnt work. https://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/127526-encrypting-my-galaxy-s5-klte-cm13/"]https://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/127526-encrypting-my-galaxy-s5-klte-cm13 Is it typical fo cyanagen mod that encryption doesnt work? Or are there any other ways to encrypt the phone?
Or can you recommend me another phone where encryption works?
encryption and custom roms normally don't play well together

The sense one really isnt all that productive vs the stock android one. I like the rest of the sense stuff so I'd be happy to mod it out. I'm rooted. Anyone have any experience doing this?
Yes there are several mods and ROMs available that do this. Check the development section

ive came to the conclusion that i will not leave android... i currently have a galaxy nexus which is a gorgeous phone and i love it, i love the pure android experience and there's so many roms!!!!, and i love android 4.2.1 (now playing around with 4.2.2)
But my upgrade is now and i dont know what phone to get
Nexus 4? (not so different to the galaxy nexus in looks from the front)
wait for the S4 (im really impatient)
Sony Xperia Z?
HTC One X?
My question is which in your opinions is the best? and more customizable when it comes to roms?
and feels and looks great of course
Would really apreciate your help
I use my phone alot, and am always testing out new roms!
I think the S4 will be released next month or April at latest. I'd either get the N4 or the S4.

After flashing over 15 different Roms and finding a stable one, I have become slightly bored with this device. I'm on mdk, any suggestions of could mods, exposed modules, or other hacks that can respark some fun?

Flash ME7 and unlock the bootloader :fingers-crossed:
I know how you feel. I bought the s4 mainly for its features, screen size and battery life also thinking development would be insane coming from the somewhat abandoned htc rezound. Turns out that it's not much better. This bootloader is really keeping developers away

If your on mdk there's plenty of ROMs to flash,I came from a galaxy nexus, there's not as many as it had but I wouldn't expect there to be its not a nexus, but there's plenty of ROM to choose from and, also y should they be 100 ROMs to choose from that does the same thing 15, 20 ROMs is fine, you got cm, carbon aokp illusion slimbean and more, then you got your ge based, and your tw roms , what else could you want
hyperdrive powered s4

Be happy with what you get the ROMs are compiled out of the devs free time and they don't owe you nothing, or start compiling your own ROM and use it...

Uh on, time for another multi-rom set up!
I'm sorry. It really ticks me off to see no "features" page here. On Nexus devices, all the ROMs look exactly the same save for a few heavily modded ones. I really need to know what differentiates one ROM from another. Later before, I did visit Evervolv website to see "features" but I see that a lot of ROM makers cleaned everything up and started quite a bit from scratch. SO if somebody could point me in the right direction, big thanks to you

You don't sound entitled at all with your "features" reply. The op is a work in progress and its not a day old and he will add to it. If you went to the website maybe it'll shed some light for you.

Amazing
Thanks buddy
I have been flashing a hell lot of roms and keeps coming back to Cataclysm. Rest all the features are same in almost every rom...This cata has an option of disabling power menu option while on secure lock. I wonder why no other Rom builder thinks of it as an essential feature for the security of phone. I know you can still get into Recovery with the combination of Power/Volume buttons but again it isnt letting them do it easily so disabling powermenu on secure lock is amazing feature which all of the new custom roms fail to have.
Hope you could integrate this request, rest the rom looks fine i am onto it now
Thanks again

Hi Guys
I used to have Samsung Galaxy Note 2 there are hundreds of ROM for that device or any Samsung devices. Now Im using this amazing device but there is no enough developer working on it. Why is that? There are only 2 ROMs I can see active doing updates all the time.
Yeh, but most of the ROMS are nearly identical. Here we have a some stock based and some CM/AOSP based but all are different.
It was the same with the S3, hundreds of ROMs but nearly all the same, only 1 or 2 were "proper" roms, developed and not "cooked"
There are at least 3 stock ROMS and at least 2 CM/AOSP roms here.
What exactly are you looking for?

Im looking something like AOSB Project
There is nothing like that in here. CarbonROM looks nice but its unofficial. I dont flash unofficial ROMs.
Stock ROMs are boring unless there are addons, tweaks etc.
I really like AOSP style ROMs but I cant see any in here.
