LG V10 cant enter recovery, anything, help! - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i'm newbie in xda, i have some problems with my new lg v10 h962, I tried many ways to enter the recovery, I do not get how to enter try -vol, power at the same time just turn off, the 3 buttons 20-30 seconds, not left. I need to enter this mode to activate root and add the band 4 for Argentina, it can be changed, and I do not get 1 viable form, I have the dfs, all the tools, if you can guide me and this possibly save many more users of h962, Is an excellent phone but these difficulties are tedious. I hope you can guide me please, I am an LG user from the legendary p350. :'(
Thanks. Greetings from Argentina for everyone, good morning.

sup dude
it would be helpfull if u could write more about your actuall knowledge about android and flashing and all kind of related stuff so people know where you stand when it comes to skills.
im not sure if processes on your phone are the same as on mine (h960a). to enter recovery you have to turn your phone OFF
then you press and hold POWER and volDOWN. when lg logo appears, you release POWER shortly and keep pressing it again while still holding volDOWN. keep pressing both and you end up in stock recovery where u can only do a system wipe.
for your plans to root the phone you need a custom recovery like twrp. you have all the threads here u need to do it ! see the thread from "rudi666" helped me all the way to unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery twrp and supersu ! its a lot of reading and aquiring knowledge but it has to be done :/ afterwards you be happy

Really stuck here with an optimus one

Ok guys my dad thought he would have a go at rooting and installing a custom rom on his first android phone.
Its the lg optimus one p500
So he said he used gingerbreak to root it, then installed rom manager, and intalled clockwork flash, but then said his device wasnt in the list so he picked a streak (guessing the dell)
Let it flash and put the rom zip he wanted on the sd card, rebooted now the damb things stuck at the lg boot screen.
Tried holding the power and vol down, tried that plus home, cant get it into recovery to boot.
Im quite the noob here but i gotta try fix this for him. Any suggestions would be great
wow nothing. Damb.
Well the home +power + up didnt work, the home power and down didnt work.
and the power, menu button put it into emergancy mode, but tried the manual flash and it fails, still stuck here guys
Kdz flash. Try see the sticky
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk
managed to fix it.
Downloaded the kdz updater.
And downloaded gingerbread 2.3.3 kdz
put phone into emergency boot (yellow scree, power back and power up)
Selected the 3GQCT for type and cs emergency for mode
Then browse to the 2.3.3 kdz file
click launch and let it run
Once done phone charged but did not turn on. Then i did the hard reset (power +home+vol down) and it reset the phone and now working a treat and on the new fw
Thought id tell my findings to anyone else stuck with this problem. See loads of threads saying fixed, or working now, but now info on how. Hope it helps someone
well, did you have a look at this..
i used this to flash CWM recently and it worked like a charm!!

BIG PROBLEM-no Recovery-no DownloadMode-no Fastboot

Hi,
I HAVE GOT A VERY BIG PROBLEM.After i installed the App AutoRec(i had TWRP befoe, but i thougt when i install it it updates TWRP to a newer version) my phone only starts in Fastboot Mode-no DownloadMode-no Recovery Mode.
After that i erased all the things(aboot,boot,cache,system,laf,....) und flashed them again, after that the Phone only starts until the LgLogo then it stops. No Fastboot,no recovery,no DownloadMode. When I Press VolumeUp+PowerOff i get into the Factory Reset. When i press on Erase all user data&restore default settings?---When i press Yes the phone the logo comes an on the left up side stands"Error:boot ceryfication verify
Secure Boot error
Cause :Boot cerification verify
After that the display is black, and i have to restart the Phone.
When i press all 3 buttons on my phone,i got into the hardware key control mode, does me help that everthing?
When i plug in the phone in my pc,it says "unknown device",when i use to do something with fastboot it says"waiting for device"?
Please help me,what can i do?I have the Phone only since 2 two days,an i wouldnt lost it Unhappy
Sorry for my bad english
Can you still get into twrp? With the phone off hold power and vol down til LG logo comes up the release and press again after. Should take you to a menu, just hit yes. If it takes you to recovery just hit factory reset and it'll,take you to twrp. If so, I'd recommend putting a Rom onto an sd and flashing it. You'll lose everything but it's better then losing this beautiful phone

You obviously didnt read his post correctly. He stated that when he gets to the factory reset area which leads you to Recovery Mode/TWRP it shows the LG logo appears and nothing happens.
As for you my friend if you are able to somehow get into download mode with a button combination you have a chance at saving yourself by using a TOT or KDZ file to restore your phone to stock software. But i also have a question for you.........Why the hell would you allow an app to flash a recovery file that has nothing to do with BUMP'D? The Bump'd recovery for our phones is specific to our phones! You should never auto update any recovery unless stated its ok from the Bump'd developers, Which they never did or will because our TWRP Recoveries are different than any other phones because of the bump'd implementations with in them and the boot.img's. Sounds to me like you may have screwed up your partitions and/or boot stack. Your are better going on IRC and requesting the help of TheCubed/IOMonster and AutoPrime, but mark my words you will face some heavy criticism from members of the IRC channel when you explain this story to them. But they are always willing to help.
I dont know why i have done it,im new on Lg.Before i had an HTC there is so many other.I will aks that guys.I hope i can save my new phone.
But the Problem is,i dont get into download Menu,i did everthing
same thing

Bootloop/old issue/NEw problem/help

Hello everyone! I have a wonderful issue that I need to address and need some help with.
I will start with the fact I made the mistake of flashing the Cm12.1 10/5 Nightly. For those of us who do not know, this rom does not boot. It optimizes apps, then the Cyanogenmod boot logo shows up, and it does this, forever.
Shouldn't be a problem if I boot into recovery, right? Power and Volume down button should do the trick. My Lg g3 for some reason has never, ever been able to boot into recovery from the hardware keys. So this is where I am stuck, I do not want to go back to stock and clear my phone. I want to enter recovery and flash backwards, but have no way to. Is there a way with Download mode that I can flash a CM rom onto m phone, without getting rid of TWRP, and without wiping my device, and retaining root?

Getting in factory-reset screen (power and volume down) was tricky for me too till I figured out that "do not wait for lg logo to show up, as soon as phone vibrates release vol down and power then immediately press them together again, keep it pressed till the factory reset/safe mode screen shows up". It worked from me everytime since then.

G2 Mini D625 - Locked Bootloader + Bootloop

Hi!
My G2 Mini D625 got bricked inside my pocket, I've tried doing a hard reset but it just keep on bootloop with the LG logo.
Is there an unbrick file for this model? I've read that the normal G2 can be unbricked with that file but I don't think that the normal G2 file will work...
Anyone knows how to re-flash some ROM on this phone with the locked bootloader, or how to unlock the bootloader while in bootloop?
Thanks!!
No bootloader unlock. Period.
Unless, you hack it.
You will probably be able to use LG's software with correct update error option.
I'll give it a try, thanks!

The LG Mobile Support Tool can't "see" my phone, as the phone is on bootloop.
All I can manage to get to the hard reset menu.
Thanks again.

Boot the phone in download mode and try again.
I've tried to boot on download mode but my phone has the download mode blocked by the operator, is this the end for this phone?
What I'm trying to do is this:
- Take battery off the phone.
- Wait like 10 seconds.
- Put battery back to phone.
- Press and hold Volume +.
- Plug Phone to computer
- Phone brings up the LG logo and goes back to bootloop.
Also I've tryed to hold power button while holding the volume + button as described on other posts but the results are the same...
Moderators please close thread as I've dropped the bricked phone.
Thanks to everybody on XDA, I've allways find usefull things around here, and I'll be sharing my love with donations as I'm still a n00b on developing.

Xperia XA Ultra Recovery Mode

Hi All,
I recently managed to brick my Xperia XA Ultra after following a guide elsewhere on the Interweb. I want to root it so I can rid myself of all of the extraneous bloatware that Sony seems to think will add value to my life.
After getting a replacement, I took tentative steps to do the same again. Previously, the phone refused to do much of anything after I flashed a new boot.img. The reason I did that was because, after flashing TWRP I couldn't get the phone to boot into recovery mode. So now I have another phone with an unlocked bootloader, TWRP flashed, but no new boot.img, and I want to get into recovery mode.
I tried all of these (all ways to get into recovery on XA Ultra according to numerous websites):
Turn off phone, hold Vol- and Power.
Turn off phone, power on, wait for 'Sony', tap Vol- or Vol+ several times.
Turn off phone, hold Vol+ and Power. Once in boot loader, tap Vol- a couple of times to start recovery.
adb reboot recovery
Stand on one leg, whistle the South Korean national anthem and press Power and Vol+ using the back of a silver spoon.
I'm pretty good with technology, usually, and I've searched high and low for a definitive answer. It seems to me that, in order to get into TWRP, I'll have to flash an alternative boot image. But I don't want to risk that, because I might not get another replacement if I brick it again.
I'd appreciate any advice or pointers.
Kind Regards,
Paul.
