Huawei Mediapad T2 10.0 Pro firmware - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a big issue with my tablet I've been trying to solve for days .
I have accidentally deleted the OS and the only way to fix this is by flashing the original firmware.
However, the problem is that I can't find the original firmware for my device on the internet and the only thing I have managed to find is firmware on Huawei website for FDR-A01L but that is a different model and not the one I am using (I am looking for a firmware for FDR-A01W version of Mediapad T2).
Any idea how I might solve this or where to find the firmware? :crying:
EDIT:
Firmware has been found and link has been posted inside txt file since I don't have rights to post external links yet (model FDR-A01W only!)
Password: rvVusc

same problem here

I have finally found a stock firmware someone has uploaded on the internet and solved the problem .
For those who are still searching for the firmware, I will upload and attach it in the first post.

Thanks for sharing. What method did you use to root the tablet? I have the same one. I'd like to avoid unlocking the bootloader if possible, but I will do it if I have no other alternative. i hope your tabled it working again

Since unlocking bootloader is needed for flashing custom ROM's, I don't think you have to unlock it because you are flashing stock rom but I am not completely sure.
As for rooting, I have found some german website with the instructions on how to root the tablet and install twrp (experimental version).
If you don't understand german, you can use a translator.

Thanks! I tried running TWRP without flashing but I didn't work, it looks like you have to unlock the bootloader
[email protected]:~/Downloads$ sudo fastboot boot TWRP_kiwi.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 1.529s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 1.530s
Any other ideas?
Cheers
Raul

hey guys, new to this, just got a MP720, not much firmware about for this one, not must of anything really,
I did however find this site with links to the to original firmware from MPMAN,
using google translate haha, it seems the two flavours of chipset for this taplet,
Hynix NAND firmware:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29403117/MP720 An 2.3_Hynix.rar
Micron NAND firmware:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29403117/MP720 An 2.3_Micron.rar
Flash Tool:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29403117/upgrade tool and Introduction.rar
that said i have not tested these FW's and cant vouch for the safety of using them,
I'm not a developer but hopefully they could be usefull for making a cyanogenmod for it (fingers crossed haha) or some one who has bricked there tap,

I have downloaded these files so if the link becomes dead please let me know and i will send them

MK805 (Allwinner A10s) ROM image firmware

Hello
I've got an Android TV Box from China. It’s an OEM device sold under the name MK805. The exterior is similar to the Mini X box, but inside is very different. It has Allwinner A10S (not A10) processor.
I bricked it while changing some files, and searched for original firmware everywhere in Internet with no results. So I tried to load firmware I found for other A10S devices (MK802+). It works, but only HDMI output. When I connect AV TVout I can only see a portion of black and white desktop. I've tried to configure different display options on section [disp_init], os script.bin file, in bootloder. At least 10 custom images without success.
I know it's very hard to find original firmware but, does anybody knows where download it?. Has anybody got this device and could dump its rom?.
Thanks in advance.
ouch! u should have backed up rom before fiddling with it hmmmm...?

Did you tired the roms from http://www.minxand.com ?
Thnaks for your answers.
Yes, I should have dumped rom before. But I didn't :crying: I'm too brave (or senseless). Now it's too late to regret.
Roms from miniand.com don't work. All of them are for A10 processors
I hope someone has this device and help me. Meanwhile, I'll continue testing changes in bootloader.

Hi, and thank you for your reply.
Sorry for being a NOOB, but when I click on those links, or copy / paste them, I get the following error message:
Fatal error: The file /home/easyfirmware/public_html/index.php cannot be decoded by this version of the ionCube Loader. If you are the administrator of this site then please install the latest version of the ionCube Loader. in Unknown on line 0
I tried downloading the ionCube .exe file, but have no idea how to set that up.
Hello again.
I managed to access the easyfirmware site, but unfortunately it only carries the firmware for the S7-701w which is not compatible with my S7-701wa device.
Thanks again for your help.

this one work?
most of firmware in tried failed
Well, I'm not OP, but I'm downloading it right now. Turns out this SKU of the mediapad was used for VISA sign up kiosks at Tim Hortons in Canada (My boss gave it to me since the program was discontinued), however being a sign up kiosk, mine has a locked down firmware which can only access a specific website, which has since been taken down. Also, because of it's locked down state, I can't enable adb debugging to root the device and install TWRP, etc.
I've been able to get into recovery and attempted to flash the 701s and 701w firmware variants like OP, needless to say those didn't work.
EDIT: It seems to be flashing! Thanks so much!
Same issue as you!!

Need help regarding which tool should be used to flash stock firmware on Oppo F5.
I am trying to flash stock rom on my oppo f5 but my phone is not detected by the SP flash tool, it does nothing when I press download button on the SP flash tool and connect the switched off phone, nothing happens and after a while phone starts charging as normally it does when connected to a computer.
While i can easily flash other MTk phones easily on the same computer, which means there is nothing wrong with my computer and mediatek drivers are installed properly.
Please let me know if someone has ever attempt to flash stock firmware or any other firmware on this device.
Thanks
Sorry for my out of topic discussion because i cant make thread before certain post
I have oppo f5 with build number 1723.
And my phone has infected by an adware. As i remember at that time my build is around 2017’s build because i never really upgrade my firmware
And i upgrade my firmware via recovery mode or whatever the name of it. Because when i try to press check for upgrade via setting it does nothing.
I downloaded my updated firmware from oppo official website and i double checked them and i am pretty sure the downloaded firmware is for build 1723
After i upgrade my firmware my phone name changed to OPPO A73 which is oppo f5 youth (correct me if i am wrong)
now my phone cant read sim card anymore and when i check imei on *#06# it only says “null”
Anyone here know what the solution?
Note : I am sure my downloaded firmware is for 1723 build because i double checked them before install and i am sure my phone build number is 1723
Thanks in advance

Hi
The official website for the Cubot X19 Firmware is https://www.cubot.net/support/firmware/x19/.
I have heard / read, that they have tried a new firmware but this didn't work at the customers so they have retired it.
This may be the firmware you have written.
After my experience the developers have theyr professional environment where some things work fine, but on other PCs or in other networks with other pathes it doesn't work.
This is a general problem of developers, not only Cubot.
Even for me as experienced user (and not developer): They send me a fix for the Google-Key-Watermark which didn't work with theyr pathes. I adapted it for my environment, and it worked. But now I am adapting these changes general, for that it works for all users. Each detail is important, sometimes its good to make a break and to re-check it the next day (or some days later when other things are more important).
I hope they can integrate the next fix of the buggy recovery (no zip-file install possible) in the next update; or when the fix they are proposing to me will work, I will publish him here.
Best regards
Christopher

Hi
The answer looks like written by Scarlett. She tries to make the support while the developers are doing other things, probably preparing the coming Cubot X20.
Scarlett writes quite good English, answers from develeopers (engineers) looks like have been written in Chinese and translated by Google. My English isn't well too (living in Switzerland I prefer German or French).
The actual Android 9 ROMs for the Cubot Phones are based on GSI-Treble-ROMS (https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble). These are international and adapted with drivers and settings for specific hardware (Cubot X19).
I don't think that your firmware is a specific US version. But it looks like they have installed on some devices a new firmware, which made problems and was retired.
If hou have big problems with your firmware, it could help to downgrade on the version from the website. If the problems are small, you better don't change too much.
Best regards from Switzerland

The actual Android 9 ROMs for the Cubot Phones are based on GSI-Treble-ROMS (https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble). These are international and adapted with drivers and settings for specific hardware (Cubot X19).
I don't think that your firmware is a specific US version. But it looks like they have installed on some devices a new firmware, which made problems and was retired.
If hou have big problems with your firmware, it could help to downgrade on the version from the website. If the problems are small, you better don't change too much.
Best regards from Switzerland
Christopher

Okay, compared with the official specifications on https://www.cubot.net/smartphones/x19/spec.html there are some significant differences.
When Scarlett couldn't solve the problem, she gave me a mail adress from a developer (engineer).
I don't want to publish this adress because this isn't the official way. But I will send you the mail adress with private message.
Best regards
Christopher
