G930A_PJ4_Odin_Files
Do you need em? You can just Odin the PI2 and take the OTA. Or is this a placeholder for your posting them?
That's a link, havnt tested but I downloaded them last night.
Anybody tested this?
Yep I flashed them the other day in my failed attempt at using the Verizon beta. They flashed properly and immediately ota'd to November. (Pj4 is october)
Anyone have a clue why I'm getting this with these files?:
<ID:0/005> FAIL! Model dismatch fail
I'm on the -eng kernel from the root bounty thread. I want off of it.
Yes, it's the SM-G930A (AT&T non-edge S7). The only thing I've done is the -eng kernel for root.

Belay that. I switched to this odin: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/odin-3-12-3-worlds-att-s7-odin-firmware-t3401470
I also wiped system and wiped cache 2-3 times... then immediate into DL mode.... and poof. It installed and is booting now. Odin at least says it was successful..... and yet again here I am thanking muniz_ri. I keep bumping into you on the different Samsung root threads... (first the S5 Active, now here...) keep up the excellent work, good sir!

I been trying to reflash my Vibrant to stock through this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728698
how i kept getting this continuous circle thing instead of rebooting. I searched online and some forums talked about going into CNW recovery and then rewipe. However I can't seem to do that, after Odin (unclick reboot) I will push the 3 buttons (volume up, power, menu) and it would flash a disfigured download mode over and over again.
I am stuck, please help me out! I have attached two photos. I can still get into download mode without any issue.
What bootloader do you have running?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA
Bootloader? Sorry I don't know what that is... I only followed the guide...
I am a Noob, a huge uneducated Noob.
Are you going back to stock from ics? When you odin make sure re-partition is checked auto reboot is checked and use the 512 pit file as well as the stock image...
If you were on Ginger bread bootloaders you would only be pressing volume up and power to get into download mode...
When odin is done do you get a green pass! In the top left corner? It should state 1/pass 0 fail
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA
I am going from Ginger bread back to Froyo. I tried to root it in GB and didn't work, it stopped receiving signal connection ...
Yes I mean up volume + power + menu for recovery.
Yes, all three are clicked and it always gives me that white circle loop in the attached image above.
Not sure what gb rom you could have possibly flashed that wouldn't already be rooted... can u get back to download mode from that circle?

If you can get back into download mode, download this
http://www.mediafire.com/?2qq3muxzj4gw7ib
I have never seen that stock link before, not too sure what that is, but the link I posted is a clean 2.2 rom...use the 512 pit and put that(link) into the PDA
just PIT and PDA and make sure all three are checked...
yup goes to download perfectly
I have attached a screenshot of what I am doing in Odin if that helps.
Your signature is Canada Rogers...do you have a T-Mobile SGH-T959 vibrant?
---------- Post added at 10:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 PM ----------
you're using odin 3...not sure if this could be an issue or not, but search for Odin 1.7...use that
---------- Post added at 11:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:58 PM ----------
Also, from that screen shot, your 512 pit file is in your internet/temp directory...it could be gone after you close your browser....you need these files in a dedicated place like your desktop or something, not in an internet cache folder...when you hit start, did you see a progress bar and see things happening? it takes about 2-5 minutes for the stock firmware to be transferred to your phone
>< I am sorry! When I was searching for help I just saw Vibrant and thought that it would be it. I just noticed there is another thread for it.
I have a Samsung S Vibrant i9000M ... originally from Bell, but it was unlock when i got it... Would I be able to request a move to that forum?
But the procedure would still be the same right? I just flashed it (attached photo). It is saved in my internet temp file but it is physically there, I just named that file for all my internet downloads.
Sorry I am such an idiot. I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881
I'll try using that first and let you know!

Lol, yes go there and look up odin to stock and download those files...and again, put them on your desktop into a folder! don't try to flash from your cache folder...read all the instructions 3x!, be very carefull, you can kill your phone with one little mistake
Thank you so much! I been trying like crazy but I finally got it back!

Hey, so I heard about AT&T and Telus getting upgrades for their Notes. I decided to check Kies to see if there was an update for my Note (Rogers) and sure enough, there was one. I clicked update and the program froze, and after waiting a couple minutes I decided to close Kies. When I re-opened Kies, the update was no longer available. How do I get it back? Thanks.
UPDATE: I tried for the hundredth time and I finally got it back. After I clicked update there was a message saying "Cannot access model information server" or something. What does that mean?
It means go to samfirmware.com and try there.

After I download the file, what do I do?
Install Odin software ( its legit from samsung ) then you will use the .tar.md5 file from samfirmware.com in the PDA slot of Odin, put phone in download mode, connect to pc with charger cable, then flash th new rom.

Odin guide from an expert.
I need some serious help. I have no idea what's going on. I was coming from CR se 3.1 to Jellybeans 20 so I decided to do a data wipe and clear everything and then my phone wouldn't turn on. I couldn't even access recovery. I gave up and decided to do a clean Odin restore with the root 66 stock system md5 and new pit file but I no longer have a recovery installed. I was going to do the casual root again but my phome will not connect to any computer. When I connect it just charges I don't get a new device found or anything. I tried connect it to another computer too and it just did the same thing. All I need is for my phone to connect to my computer so I can restore it to default, install a recovery/root, and install jelly beans. But nothing is corresponding with me. Please someone help me. I'm really desperate for some help right now. Please. I'm freaking out. I don't know what to do. Anything is appreciated. If there's any way you can pm me so we can chat that would be cool too. I'm just freaking out and have been for the past 4 hours.
When did you root your phone? If you originally used casual on the old baseband then flashed roms on the vramc3 modem you need to update casual to the one that unlocks the new modem. I don't see how you could've bricked the phone like that though. Does anything show up on the screen when you try to boot into recovery?
hmmm did you try doing a full odin back to stock and locked?

The modem has nothing to do with rooting, unlocking, or anything of that nature. I believe you are referring to the firmware version correct?

Sorry guess I don't understand the right names for all of it but yes, the different firmware versions then that casual is based on.
I know rooting is a risk but never had this issue with the Galaxy S3.
I rooted the Galaxy S6 Edge using Kinguser in order to remove carrier crapware. Post root, Settings->About Device->Status->Device Status = "Custom".
Attempting an OTA update, the phone reports "The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software updates using Smart Switch on your PC or visit a customer service centre".
Attempting update from PC using Smart Switch, error message is "ErrorCode=5,ErrorMessage=The operation completed successfully." Despite the content of the message, the phone is not updated.
What are the options to get the update? I have invested a lot of time in organizing and setting up apps so I would like to avoid spending a day doing a factory reset. I have Galaxy S6 Edge 128 GB from Rogers Wireless in Canada.

just download your firmware and flash it with Odin
Won't that overwrite the settings and content on the phone? I guess I could back it up with Smart Switch first.
I have similar problem with my S6 Edge 64 GB. I rooted it with "CF Autoroot" and it went fine but then the storage of my phone dropped from 64GB to 16GB. Also when I try to run my banking apps they didn't work. I guess because the device was rooted. To get my storage back to 64 GB I flashed phone with 5.1.1 as 6.0.1 didn't worked. Now I am running 5.1.1 with Custom status with full 64GB storage. I tried to update the software through OTA but get message the device is modified and can't be updated. Also with smart switch, it says SM-G925F is not supported
I also tried to flash stock firmware O2U-G925FXXU1AOCV-20150410182552.zip but it keeps getting failed.
Can you please advise how can I get back to official status with 6.0.1
You can go back to official status, you tripped Knox and it blew the Efuse on your device which you can't repair. Best bet is to use odin and install original firmware back to the device, put the file in AP and flash it. It should take 5 min to complete. If you've already done it and come up with errors what are they? Need more info dude to help you.

I tried uploading stock firmware downloaded from androidrootz/sammobile with ODIN but it keeps getting failed. No matter what port I used, its not working.
No errors, just it keeps getting failed
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G925F/
Try install the marshmallow update.
If you don't want to try, go into recovery and factory reset and boot up fully and go through the setup and try flash again with ODIN.
If ODIN still fails try a different usb and USB port. It can be picky sometimes.
Also you could try and push the Firmware over with ADB. (I don't know how to use ADB so just Google instructions.)
At which point is it getting failed? Example... "hidden.img fail" a screen shot of odin will help mate?
I have tried with three different ports and i'm using genuine samsung data cable with lates odin software.
Due to less posts than 10 i am unable to attach screenshots.
after hidden.img it gets FAIL
hidden.img fail means you need to flash the PIT file.
Best thing would be to look on sam mobile and download and flash 6.0.1 FW.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/66479/G925FXXS3DPB1_G925FOXA3DPB1_XEU/
This is the one I had to flash which didn't need pit to be flashed seperately which got me up and running easily. Just backup your stuff.

This one will definitely work. I was getting hidden.img fail but this one flashed no problem. Make sure you have odin 3.10

Is there anyway to speed up the download from this website, right now it says 8 hours to complete. I am on 50Mb fibre optic
I'm afraid not unless you want to pay for it. It usually takes around 1-2 hours I think.

Already done ??
I have the Samsung gear s from at&t.
I rooted it when I first got it. But reset it shortly after.
I noticed today when I go to the gear s settings to check for update.
It tells me "gear is modified, no updates available" is there a way to reset the watch like Odin flash to remove root and any modifications?
Probably to do what ya said, odin flash it back to stock...
I'm gunna google unroot for Gear S real quick brb.
---------- Post added at 07:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:57 PM ----------
Only relavant thing that showed up was this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s/help/unroot-sm-r750s-t3196800
But I'd say since factory reset didn't unroot it to try odin flashing the firmware to be on the safe side and official.

Just in case ya don't know how, covering all the bases...
And the latest AT&T Gear S Odin Firmware
http://samsung-firmware.org/download/Gear-S/30ca/ATT/R750AUCU1AOB1/R750AATT1AOB1/
Flashing ODIN worked and now checks for updates. The factory reset removes root but if you dont flash the original firmware back then its still not stock
