Hey,
I read that if I flash cyanogen mod my boot loader would get locked.
My question is can I unlock it again with mi flash if it's running cyanogen?
Thanks in advance.

Yes you can re-unlock your bootloader again. However, your Xiaomi account is granted permission to unlock only one Xiaomi device registered on your account per month so if you encounter any errors while unlocking it, this might be the cause of it.

Try synchronizing your Mi account with your device by removing older devices and adding your current one again, then try unlocking it with MiFlash. If that doesn't work just google "How to unlock Redmi Note 3 bootloader unofficial". But before you proceed, make sure you understand the risks of unlocking your bootloader the unofficial way, and have followed all the steps carefully so you don't end up with a bricked device. Good luck.
Just unlock it officialy if you have got permission before.
There has been a ton of posts about that...
And your BL doesnt get locked if you flash CM (i think only santhosh build relocks )

Follow this official guide from MIUI to restore the original ROM through fastboot mode.
Before proceeding make sure you have backed up any important files you do not want to loose
Quick step by step:
1) Download and install the "MIUI ROM Flashing Tool".
2) From the list, select the ROM for your device and download it.
3) Close your device and enter fastboot mode by holding the power button + volume down button at the same time.
4) Connect device to PC.
5) Decompress the ROM to a short path, for example("C:/Redmi Note 3 ROM") to avoid any errors while flashing it.
6) Open MIUI ROM Flashing Tool and go to the folder path where you saved the decompressed ROM files.
7) Press "Refresh" button.
8) Select "Clean all" (This will erase everything on the device. Again, make sure you have removed the sd card(if you use one), and have backed up any important files you do not want to loose. )
9) Press "Flash" button.
10) If everything went well, after 5-10 minutes you should see "success".
11) Disconnect the device from your PC.
12) Done.

Hi guys,
Just recently purchased redmi note 3 pro 32gb from gearbest.
Phone should be international version with 7.2.13.00(LHOCNCL) preinstalled.
I found that I cannot flash any standard / developer ROM when official website by using built-in flash tool.
Any way to go from here? to at least receive OTA updates and in future I will like to try out Ressurection rom.
thanks.
Your ROM is unexsisting one, cooked by the seller.
You must flash a new one clean via EDL mode and MiFlash
This CN in the name means Chinese, and the numbers says that the rom is only modified to support more languages.

Does this mean i need to wait for unlock bootloader first?
my MI account has previous device linked which I just removed now and set to my new phone.
might take weeks to get approval?
or is there a guy to by pass the locked bootloader?
thanks.

No you wont loose your IMEI. Basically you are just flashing official MIUI Rom, your IMEI details are stored in another partition (non volatile) and FlashAll will not touch them.
You are safe to follow this guide, and by the way you would not be able to unlock the bootloader (the official way) from this vendor Rom. So if you plan to do so later, here you go with this first step.

Hi my friends.
this is my story :
my phone is Redmi note 3 pro (qualqomm)
I got permissions for unlocking a week ago.
then i tried xiaomi website unlock method but it stopped at 50% and gave me couldn't verify device (different account) error.
my rom is global (MIUI 8) . then i tried to flash dev rom with updater app but it gave me couldn't verify update package error. i cleared updater data and tried again but same error.
in next step i tried mi pc suite to flash but no success.
then i used fastboot mode and mi flash and i got locked bootloader error.
then i used EDL mode to flash but in mi flash i got hello package error. (object reference not set to an instance of an object)
i completely confused . i tried all methods and read many fix like login in i.mi.com and other method that people fixed their problem but all of them not fix mine.
i read some threads about flashing twrp and root without unlocking bootloader but all of them need flashing dev rom and i can't flash.
can anyone help me?

I just recently went through most of what you have gone through... Be patient though... It seems that the unlocking of bootloader even after you getting permission, takes atleast 2-3 weeks more.
- You can flash the miui global dev rom, you may download it from the miui forums... Here is the link for the fastboot rom http://en.miui.com/a-234.html.
- To flash the dev rom, you need to ensure you put your phone into fastboot, ensure all the fastboot drivers are installed on your computer
- Also, you need to ensure that you download the GLOBAL/DEV FASTBOOT ROM(this is different than the regular zip package) that you download.
- Then you can follow the instructions to install the ROM using miflash tool
- If the ROM installation is a success, then you just need to wait patiently atleast for 15-20 days from the time you got unlock permission sms from MI
- Then try running the flash unlock tool, it should get unlocked.
- Now flashing TWRP might be tricky, I was able to flash the official TWRP, but had issues where the internal memory wasn't getting mounted, because you keep getting asked for decryption password in TWRP to mount the data, no matter what you enter, it might not work
- After trying many TWRP types, the one that worked was "zcx twrp"
- Once you flash that, you should be able to flash any custom or miui roms you need :good:

Skip the EDL thing and go directly to the part where they explain how to use the miflash tool to flash a fastboot ROM
I should have asked this first... what's the state of your phone right now? Does it boot, stuck on boot loop, or are you able to boot into some ROM.
maybe u have a vendors rom, flash the fastboot rom using edl
finally a downloaded adb 1.4.3 and installed it and i flashed dev rom in EDL mode.
but now i have some questions:
can i change kernel with locked bootloader?
if i change kernel does fingerprint work?
You just dont have proper drivers installed im 100% sure, else it would go via edl
Hehe was right
And why dont you ask for official unlock approval? Its approved in less than a day, anyone saying otherwise have old news
Or you can always use a method in this forum...
Hi guys,
first of all: I am an idiot
I was using an old nightly from CM 13-kenzo and decided to do some preparation to finally migrate to Lineage without data loss.
So I wanted to go to CM14.1 before flashing the experimental Lineage and the nightly.
What did I flash with TWRP?
1.) ROM: cm-14.1-20161225-NIGHTLY-kenzo.zip
2.) GAPPS 7.1 ARM64 micro
3.) Firmware: CM14.1-firmware_20161205.zip
I think I should have flashed the firmware first, moreover, I didn't wipe caches.
What's happening now?
Recovery mode does not work (the display just flash for half a second)
Booting does not work (ofc )
Fastboot mode still works.
How can I fix this nice problem with Cyanogenmod?
Any help is much appreciated.
Bro,I also faced this problem. Just go to guides section and follow the guide"install zcx twrp without unlocking bootlader" one. And flash by that method twrp and you will get it all back.
I have also faced problem same you are facing and solved it!!!

Yes, I mean Miflash tool. You need to folow this guide

And remember you will lost all data in internal memory, you will get back to MIUI with that guide. Then try to unlock your bootloader officially or unofficially again.
Or if you woud like to take risk then you can try this way https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/unlock-unofficially-install-zcx-twrp-t3586778 without data lost

But freeze after 50 sec and reboot.

Bro! Flash Red Wolf TWRP. Check System, Data and Cache and swipe to wipe them. Flash the latest firmware. Then flash ROM & GApps package then reboot. You don't need to wipe every partition.

Nope.
Dint work.
I erase the boot and recovery from fastboot.
Flash redwolf recovery.
Enter the recovery.
Try to wipe the partitions but it write cant mount the data and the cache.
So i manual wipe data to exfat and the to ext4.
I do the same whit the cache and finaly it mount the partitions.
So i normaly flash the latest stable firmware (i try whit old one) Los 14.1 whit gapps and reboot.
The phone boot to the boot animation freeze and reboot.
Then start loading again this time boot the Los 14.1 but a few seconds later the phone freeze and reboot.
I happened again and again.
I can`t even take a logicat to get some info why is this happened.
I am 100% sure this problem come from this gay recovery.
Why i flash this old recovery.

Boot into EDL mode and then use MiFlash to flash Official MIUI. You can visit this thread HERE, to know how to boot into EDL.
No guarantees but worth a try, since your bootloader is locked it's the only way I suppose.

Hi.
I flash this recovery from this thread --> https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...-development/unofficial-twrp-3-1-1-1-t3709034
I wipe every thing in the recovery.
Mark all cheks and select wipe.
I flash the latest slim stable 2.0 whit gapps and reboot the phone normal.
The phone boot first freeze and then reboot.
And then the nightmare has begin.
No matter what rom i flash its the same on all ROMS.
ALL !
Offical MIUI 9 whit MiFlash.
LoS 14,1 LoS 15.
AOSP.
I flash different recovery:
Redwolf, Official TWRP, TWRP for project treble for the new LOS 15.1
I remove the sd card.
Format all partition to different file system :ext4 , f2fs all the same.
Flash a different Firmware.
Boot freeze and the phone reboot.
When the phone enter in any custom recovery it dose`n reboot after 50 sec.
It only happened buy it booting the system.
I dont have any idea what to do.
This recovery from this man brick my phone.
I am desperate.
I am really hope some one here to help me.

Hey there! Don't worry I faced exactly same issue! If you go to service center those idiots will tell you to replace motherboard which is 80% of cost of phone itself. Well they are idiot! I fixed my phone myself! Its not hardware issue! You just messed up your system partitions! Believe me I Know your case! Phone would just boot up successfully then reboot after freezing! Right? Here is the solution: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/how-to-fix-totally-dead-redmi-note-4-t3746465
This guide is written by me only! If you face any problem then feel free to ask! Best of luck!

Do you have unlocking permissions from Xiaomi? If yes then thats very good news for you! Actually you don't need miui in order to unlock bootloader if you are not logged into device using mi account which im pretty sure of as you are not on miui. I would recommend you to download latest mi unlock tool and unlock your device! I think it will be unlocked successfully if your mi account has unlocking permissions!
Let me tell you, you need to add account in developers options only when you are on miui and you mi account is logged in on the device! In your case you are neither on miui not logged in with mi account on device so it will unlock! Trust me I was in same place as you! Just breathe in and out and follow this:
* Download mi unlock tool
* Start mi unlock tool and login with you mi account which had permissions
* Connect your phone in fastboot mode
* Click on unlock and it will unlock successfully then you are good to go!

You are quite not getting what I am trying to say! Just strictly follow the steps:
1) Download Mi unlock tool
2) Run the tool and login with you mi account ( it doesn't matter if you are logged into miui or not)
3) Connect your phone to PC in fastboot mode (power+ volume down button)
4) Your phone will be detected as Mi device in unlock tool
5) Click on unlock and it will be completed
First of all do this then proceed with anything else! Its late so I'm going to sleep! Will check back on you in the morning! If you face any problem then keep me posted along with screenshots! Hope it helps!

Lock the page 1 !
I have already read the threads https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/xiaomi-poco-f1-unlock-bootloader-custom-t3839405 and steps. I would like to clarify one more time before doing flashing.
1. To unlock fastboot, we need to have DEV ROM, right? If it is stable, we can't?
2. If it must be DEV ROM, where did the TS get the DEV ROM? Since I checked in MIUI Official site, there is no DEV ROM. It only provides stable.
3. After unlocking bootloader, all we need to do is flash the TWRP Berylium and then Flash the DisablerEncryptionmodTreble.zip, right? After that just flash magisk and reboot system and we are done?
4. Where do we get the POCO F1 Driver? This is because I can't get it detected in Fastboot but is able to detect in ADB.
Thank you very much in advance to clear my doubts.

1. If you mean unlocking the bootloader then it works from the stable rom also. You need to enable OEM unlocking, bind your account to the device and apply to Xiaomi (and wait 72h).
3. The instructions are in the other thread, but basically yes, make sure you format data also.
4. Again, see the threads where this is discussed for download links.

Unlock bootloader u have to do thru mi unlock tool from their website.
No dev roms at present but u can flash miui 10 beta which is better than the present 9 and is updated quite often.
Magisk is flashed only if u need root, not compulsory. Read and reread all the steps and Don exactly as instructed. Flashing disabler zip every time u flash is better and format data is mandatory to avoid unwanted complications.
Poco drivers usually are not required. Google Android bootloader drivers detect the phone automatically.
Try command fastboot devices in fastboot mode and ur device should be listed

I have unlocked my Pocophone f1 and rooted my phone. I do have 3 questions.
1. Why is TWRP asking me to decrypt password the moment it boots? I never even have password in my phone.
2. Everytime if i want to update the Stock ROM Miui, it will always lose root. So, when I want to root everytime I update, do I have to flash FORCEDISABLERENCRYPTION again and format data like the instruction? Can't we just flash FORCEDISABLERENCRYPTION and MAGISK without formatting?
3. The first time I boot my phone after format data, it says, "This device is associated with MI account. for security reasons, you have to provide password." Is there some way to disable this?
Thank you for helping.
