I just extracted the firmware files from the HYDROGEN 2.5 beta/(now Oxygen 3.5.6) release.
Just flash this and then LineAge OS/former CM14.1 official(Confirmed Working) and get VoLTE working..
VoLTE working perfectly (no RR and network drops)with modem ver 1.2
FLASH ON YOUR OWN RISK, AS we are Tweaking Modem Firmware
LineAge OS/former CM14.1 already has VoLTE patches in it.
Just Found out OxygenOS2 also had patches so v1.1b is working on it.(Confirmed for V 2.0.1)
If you have flashed on oxygen.3.1 to reset your phone
follow oneplus china's guide
EDIT : You will end up giving up your IMEI 2 if you rolled back to old Firmware
Fix for Missing IMEI in older ROMS:
The new modem changes the way IMEI is stored, so in older ROM's like OOS3.1.0 you can enable the IMEI by simply flashing the new H2OS modem on the ROM(OOS3.1.0) and it will enable the ROM to read the IMEI for Slot2
And edit build.prop and add
Code:
#ifdef VENDOR_EDIT
persist.dbg.ims_volte_enable=1
persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr=1
persist.dbg.vt_avail_ovr=0
persist.data.iwlan.enable=true
persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr=0
#endif
In the end for getting volte working
Fix for Random Reboots(CM14.1) and Network Drops(H2OS) :
Download Network Signal Guru from play store.
Give root access and start testing from 3 dot menu.
Now click magic wand and select BAND LOCKING.
Select only the band with best strength( 5 in my case) and uncheck rest of them.
Stop the testing
AND You are good to Go
Mine Network stable since 3 days.
Even you can get VoLTE working in OOS 2.0(Lollipop):
Oneplus tried to implement VoLTE for Oneplus2 back in the development days of OxygenOS 2 and the have VoLTE patches in it too. So If you flash the modded zip of the VoLTE modem you can even get VoLTE calling working on OOS 2(Tested on 2.0.1).
Download :
v1.2 here
v1.1b here (For Lollipop/Older Bootloader)
Just hit a thanks if I saved your time from downloading whole OS zip.
thnx dude
Finally, the whole "is volte working" thing comes to an end... May God bless us all! :laugh:
That deserves an applause...:good::victory:
I have not tested it but hope it is working. Thanks for this
Hi guys,
Just a quick update from my side.
It's not working here in Canada. My carrier Bell does support VOLTE but it still goes to H+ (HSPA) when in call. Not sure what's wrong here. Or maybe OnePlus has a different radio static_nvbk file for the North American OnePlus 2 model.
What do you guys think?
Can i flash this on a cm13 based rom too??? Or does it require cm14??
Not working on cm 14.1 official build
Are there any issues with this , i am on cm14.1
Not working for me on off cm 14.1
Boeffla kernel (OOS version) works fine on H2OS 2.5 beta. I am using kernel auditor to adjust saturation, as boeffla config app doesn't work.

Thanks
no one try this unless you backup your efs.
i was using cm14.1. there people says flashing this zip can enable the VOLTE, and i did, but that didnt work. it was as usual (except some extra options in PREFERRED NETWORK tab). so i want to reset it by flashing the rom. it didnt work. so i flashed the OOS v3.1.0. But that gave me no IMEI and i have lost both imei and no wifi connection. Also, phone is rebooting randomly. Few months ago, i have backed up my imei (2 modem files), but when i try to restore it, the adb cmd doesnt show my phone in FASTBOOT MODE...
anyone here to help me???

You might wanna add to the OP that backup efs is mandatory.. Even a little hint about the risks of tweaking modem files would be useful! You know how people are, they flash first before they think..
V1.1? What is the difference according to 1.0?

You have a backup of efs via twrp? Does recovery still work? Did you try to clean install? Maybe if you flash the modem file of 3.1 you get it working again.. But now is a point where you should think thoroughly before the next step, one step killed you efs / imei and I guess not OOS3.1, even H2os is unlikely.. Looks like a big mess

OOS 3.1 wont work after trying flash H2os 2.5.. it wont connect to wifi or even show simcards, and even if it will boot it will keep rebooting.. same thing happened to me yesterday.. I tried changing the recovery to hybrid, even tried flashing the modem from OOS 3.1, that didn't help either and then tried flashing cm14.1 or even Exodus 6.0.1 but nothing booted because of course the recovery was wrong. And when I tried flashing OOS 3.1 my mac address was weird and not the usual one.. so I did later was, I flashed h2os 2.5 with same recovery, hybrid one, booted the OS, when it went to wifi it showed me my usual mac address which confirmed that wifi was working then I rebooted and went into wipe, did factory reset, then wiped cache, dalvik, data and system, basically except internal storage everything.. then I installed the latest TWRP which is 302-2 from install image and then flashed cm14.1 and gapps etc. and everything started working again.. sim cards wifi everything else too.. I havent tried installing OOS 3.1 again.. but I think flashing gapps along with h2os 2.5 doesn't let you go ahead with the setup and flashing h2os 2.5 installs new modem which completely breaks connectivity in OOS 3.1

Hey guys,
Backstory (Not sure if important): I was running Villain ROM for a long time whilst I was over seas, and every time I used WIFI, my phone heated up a lot (around the camera), to the point where I couldn't hold it up to my face to answer a call. My battery also got fairly hot while charging my phone on a boat. During this time I had a lot of issues with it crashing and what not, but data was still working. I charged my phone at the airport and then I tried to turn it on once I got home and the battery was dead. But I had a spare one which I'm currently using.
Anyway, I flashed Resurrection Remix ROM 3.0.5 (22/08/2012) and it failed to work (boot loop), so I flashed Stock Telstra 2.3.6 ROM. Then I tried to re root it and flash RR again and it worked fine. I attempted for a long time to fix the problem by using different modems, and flashing different ROMs etc, but I decided to use Triangle Away to reset Binary Count and then I flashed my phone back with the stock Telstra ROM as I may send it off for repair if I can't fix it. I also used OTA to upgrade it to ICS.
I've made sure that airplane mode is off. I've enabled data/roaming in settings. I've made sure (using power button) that data is enabled. I've checked the APN's and their all correct. I've selected the proper network operator (Telstra). I've gone into USSD Code '*#301279#' and changed the revisions.
I went into the settings using the USSD code '*#*#4636#*#*' and went into phone information. When I click 'Run ping test' it fails with the errors:
Ping IpAddr: Fail: IP addr not reachable
Ping Hostname: Fail: Host unreachable
HTTP: Client test: Fail: IOException
When I press the menu key there is an option called 'Enable data connection', that when I press closes the menu (as if it had worked), but when I opened it again, it says the same thing. There is also never a 3G or Data Icon.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, or anything to try, please let me know.
TL;DR: I've read pretty much everything I could find on Google and nothing is making data work or even appear.
Thanks,
Hi !
I got the I9100 G, and tried many custom AOSP AOKP based rom too. I noticed that I can't get data network with those custom roms.
I also tried to flash modems, reflash with fresh restart, full wipe, etc.. but still nothing.
So I went to a stock based rom, with the Divine rom. And everything work fine.
Now I'm on the RR v3.0.5 and still no data, just wanted to try agan this amazing rom.
But I have to switch back again to the Divine..
Try this one, it should work if you got the same issue, even if I still don't know what it is exactly..
Note that it's for G's only !
let me know if you find another way to get rid of this.
why not try RootBox rom.. it will help you out with the data network problem,,

Rootbox for G's.. Yeah..
Already tested.. Not the latest but the v1.7 and it didn t work..
APN, modems, fresh restart, saving APN on a stock rom + restoring when on a custom like RR or RB, even CM9.. Tried all of this already.
But I didn't tried all modems..

This is an unlock phone use on T-mobile network. This is what I did, and hoping someone give me some advise what is wrong.
Phone is on original JB rom:
1 Rooted the phone
2. install freegee and install the twrp
3. Boot into recovery mode and update to twrp 2.8.1
4. Boot into recovery mode again Wipe data, advance wipe: cache, davik cache, system
5. Install CM12 zip and gapp zip
6. Reboot the phone
My phone boot to new CM custom rom OK: showing LTE connected to tmobile network. Everything is working EXCEPT calling and receiving call (there is no air or audio when pick up call or calling out)
I have try the whole procedure 3 different times even re download all files but no luck at all.
My question is did I do something wrong or do I need some other files in order to get it working.
Please advise!!!!
Tks
You did not list that you performed a backup of your stock ROM with TWRP before flashing CM 12 (or that everything worked fine on it). You need to restore your EFS data from your stock ROM after flashing the custom ROM.
Without your EFS data your phone does not have critical info to operate.

I can flash the phone back to original JB without any problem. My question is after flashed the CM 12 I have no audio on both ends for incoming and out going call. I still can text using data ... except calling.
Any idea? Do I need to flash some extra special file along with the rom zip file to get it working?
TIA
IF you have restored your EFS from the TWRP backup of your stock ROM after installing CM 12 and have the problem after completing that, which your reply does not indicate, I would suggest flashing a modem file separately though it is redundant.
A couple of variants can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45602845&postcount=4 . The first and last are likely stock modem files. Not my post and cannot vouch for linked files but they appear okay.

That sounds like an issue with your APN not your modem.
See if it matches what your carrier recommends for your area. If it does try something else. Remember to save changes you make as you exit the APN configuration settings.
Hello. I have a Kate with running Global Dev 6.12.8. All is running well so far. But if I flash custom ROMs I don't get a mobile-data connection, but I can make a call! WLAN, BT, GPS...all is running, but no data with sim-card. APN is correct, too. When I go back to stock with TWRP-backup, mobile-data is running back! I testet custom MM and N ROMs...Slim6, RR, CM...I testet CM14firmware, too.
Check the custom rom threads for advice on flashing on the Kate, specially which modem firmware to flash. (NON_HLOS.bin)

Still no mobile-data-connection! This happened with the Dev-ROM update from 6.11.x to 6.12.x. Is it possible to downgrade the DEV-ROMs?
I have the same issue - I had CM 13 running for weeks without issues on my KATE device (using this German tutorial: http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/h...-note-3-pro-kate-band-20-installieren.795136/ - un-official boot loader unlock). After trying CM 14.1 I have no data connection but APN settings are correct. If I switch back to Stock ROM (e.g. kate_global_images_6.12.15_20161215.0000.00_6.0_global_9e944aa495.tgz) mobile data works again. I've flashed NON_HLOS.bin from different fast boot files but nothing helps. Even CM13 does not work with mobile data connection any more.
If someone knows a solution I'm thankful for any advice. Complete re installation is no problem.
I know used the link above: http://en.miui.com/thread-363264-1-1.html But replaced the files mentioned there with CM 14.1 nightly build + this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/cm14-14-1-aosp-n-firmware-kenzo-kate-t3507789) Firmware for kate and Cm14.1) And I flashed modem from global stable directly after GApps (I did all wipes mentioned in thread). Instalation went perfectly fine and CM sets up correctly. Even while 1st setup it detects my SIM and my German carrier correctly. But after setup completes there is still no data connection (One detail: CM setup asks twice if to enable mobile data connection while setup - I confirmed both of course...) Phone calls and SMS works fine....
I could cry because this makes the phone unusable for me and I have to go back to stock now... Camera, FP. Bluetooth and all that stuff works fine ...
You could try to perform a soft reboot and see if it helps. I'm using this workaround for like 2 months.
I'm gonna try OPs guide after Christmas.

Thanks. Since I installed LineageOS already I tried to adopt this procedure for me and it seems to work:
- The guide tells "put SIM-Card from SIM-Slot 1 in SIM2-Slot2 (leave SIM-Slot 1 empty!)"
Since Sim1 is Micro and Sim2 Nano in RN3P I don't want to cut my sim card - so I simply took the nano card out of another phone started once with only sim2 inserted:
- Data connection OK
I re-inserted my SIM1 only again (after shutdown) and connections ist ok, too 4G LTE in Germany (kate version)
Thanks again - have a good weekend.
Hello everyone !
I have a problem : When I flash a rom (Nougat or Marshmallow), I do not have any mobile data. I can always make calls and receive messages but when I activate the data, I do not have the symbol 3g or 4g and impossible to go on the internet (it tells me that I am not connected to any network) or Receive MMS.
I tried several ROMs based on Android 6 and 7 but the problem is the same, I also tried to flash different firmwares but it does not change anything while on Xiaomi.eu or stock MIUI ROM I have no problems.
I checked the IMEI and the APN, everything is correct.
I also tried the VoLTE patch (Android 6&7) but it did not change anything.
So I'm asking you the question: Do any of you have a solution?
I use the lastest Resurrection Remix ROM with the MIUI firmware (7.3.9 by @reemar)

I do not understand very well, once in phone information, what should I do exactly?
Thank you in advance !
I've been encountering similar issues with no data available... what helped me is I simply installed ROM I wanted and then restored EFS (partition or whatever it is) from a ROM backup I am sure data works....
Just check your APN settings...
I had similar issues after installing some google apps packages - don't remember which exactly. Try to install fresh rom without Gapps and check if problem still exists. If not, look for good Gapps. It took me whole day to find which caused this.

I have had a problem with mobile data transmission on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (Lavender). I installed various custom rom Android 12 and unfortunately on any of them I had no internet connection via Mobile Data. WiFi worked, phone calls also ...
Here's what helped me:
1. I installed a custom rom based on MIUI (of course, first Orangefox, and then MiUI Wolf Os for Lavender). After installation, everything worked, there was an internet connection via Mobile Data. The SIM card was even on Sloat 2 and everything worked!
2. I installed Awaken OS 2.9 for Lavender (with gapps). When I was asked to insert the SIM card during the installation, I put it into the slot 1. Unfortunately, Awaken 2.9 does not support the mobile internet on the slot 2.
Why does this solution help? Because this way of installing Awaken OS does not destroy firmware from Xiaomi. I hope it helps you too and will work too for you
Hello guys,
as the title says I am currently with the mobile data connection not being established on custom ROMs, the official MIUI ROM works fine. Before trying to go to LineageOS 14.1 I ran this 13.1 ROM for quite some time successfully.
This is what I did since trying to migrate to Andoid 7.1:
I flashed the latest MIUI Global Dev ROM, this locked my bootloader again, so I tried this for installing TWRP and custom ROMs with locked bootloader and this for unlocking the bootloader unofficially. Both methods generally worked, but mobile data did work on neither of them (I checked for the correct APN).
So I tried to go back to the LineageOS 13 ROM (clean flash, since I accidentally deleted my backup) I used before, but it also does not work on that version anymore.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be or how I could possibly find out what causes this?
Edit: I am now actually back to the latest MIUI Global Dev and hoping that I am able to unlock the bootloader officially eventually. But any tips on the issue above would still be appreciated.
Edit 2: On the 8.0 NitrogenOS mobile data does work. I first thought that it yet had to be an APN problem, so I copied the settings from this ROM to the LineageOS 14.1 ROM and deleted all other APNs, but that actually did nothing, it still did not work. So I guess I will stay on 8.0 for now, although I wanted 7.1 because of XPosed.
Edit 3: Suddenly stopped working on Android 8. Seems to work on the first boot after flashing a Android 8 ROM and then not anymore. Going back to MIUI...
This post helped me with the issue. After a soft reboot mobile data just works fine even after enabling/disabling airplane mode.
