I was able to install the Spotify remote app on the gear fit 2, but when I launch it it just give me an error "Unable to start Spotify - BT disconnected". It's connected properly for the watch to work normally, just Spotify doesn't seem to work. Weird thing is, is when i tap the spotify app on the gear fit 2 it launches Spotify on my phone, but nothing else.

Can anyone help?
edit: I've looked at the reviews of the Spotify remote and others seem to have the same problem. Not sure what is causing it. Tried resetting over and over, no difference.
What device do you have? I experience the same problem with my LG V10.
Hello,
What i experienced is that Spotify app needs to be OFF on the phone.
Just launch it from the watch, but not from the phone. Then wait a few seconds.
This is on a samsung note 3... so maybe your problem is different.
Tell if it works,
mafy

I listen to Pandora in my car via bluetooth every time I go somewhere. It's slightly annoying to have to launch the app every time. I'm wondering if there's an app out there that will automatically launch a program when my phone is paired with a specific device (like the Pioneer deck in my car).
I'd like my music to start up automatically when I start my car.
Anyone know of anything?
Thanks!
Locale+Locale Bluetooth Plug-in might solve this issue for you. I'm not allowed to post links but make a search for it on play.google.com.
Instead of Locale, I'd use Tasker. Locale is kind of outdated, and Tasker is less expensive (iirc) and has more support - from both the developer and the community. I never found a real need for the app so I don't know much about it. There is a 7 day trial available on the Tasker website, use that to decide if it can do what you'd like. There may already be a configuration on the website to do what you want to do, so search through those as well.
Try and find the razr's smart actions apk

Check out YouBlue
I developed YouBlue for this purpose. It can auto start a variety of music apps on Bluetooth connect, but that's not all. It's a service, so it listens for events like wifi connect/disconnect, Bluetooth connect/disconnect in an attempt to turn your bluetooth adaptor on or off as needed. The algorithm is completely customizable in the settings.
Best of all, it's free. Search for it on the play store or amazon app store. YouBlue - Smart Bluetooth Auto
When I drive away from home in the morning, my phone never leaves my pocket. It detects loss of wifi connection, turns on Bluetooth to see if my car is in range, then once connected, starts pandora.
Bluetooth connect & Play
I would suggest the following application which is custom built for your use case.
As a new user I can't post a direct link to it, but you can find it in the google Play store.
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cp2.start.and.play.music.player
does youblue have the option to open different apps for different devices?

I am looking for something that will turn on different apps for different devices. I use one app at home on bluetooth speakers and a different one when connected to stereo in the car. Does youblue do this?
So, I love this phone and hate it at the same time.
First off, just at random, the BT, Wi-Fi or GPS will just turn off. Has not happened for a couple days, nothing has really changed.
Now the big issues. These are driving me nuts....
I have a Pyle PLDN74BTi (don't laugh, it was dirt cheap) and it supports Bluetooth audio and tagging and speakerphone from a BT phone. All the features work except the tagging. I cannot get BT to display the audio info or the phone info.
Second, I just bought an iBolt xProDockX. When I dock it, the phone recognizes its docked, but it will not open the doc app upon dock. I look in the default apps, and the dock isn't even listed. I purchased Car Home Ultra and it wont auto open, I even install the dock&drive app from iBolt and it wont auto open upon docking either.
Anyone else having these stupid issues with their phone? I have cleared all the apps, and I have restarted the phone. No Dice.

It sounds like a bad phone. Might want to take it back and exchange it.
Greetings!
Has anyone else noticed any conflicts with simultaneous bluetooth connections to other types of devices while the Gear S is paired to your phone?
I have a Note Edge from T-Mobile and the Gear S from T-Mo as well. In my car (Chevy Volt) I have the factory infotainment system with navigation, bluetooth, etc. I noticed that at seemingly random times, when I had the phone paired to the car and was either in a call or streaming music, the connection between the car and the phone would be lost. I chalked it up to an issue with the Bluetooth profile stack GM was using and used a wired connection.
Then, I experienced the exact same problem in my truck with an Aftermarket Pioneer head unit connected to the phone. It too would drop the connection at random intervals. That caused me to start to suspect the Note Edge or the ROM I was running on it.
Yesterday, I accidently left for work without my Gear S. Guess what? The connection didn't drop once during my 45 minute commute. So today, I turned off the Gear S before I left work work, and I never lost a connection.
This tells me there is some sort of an issue with the Gear S. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, have you found a fix? To the best of my knowledge, I am using the latest official firmware for the T-Mo Gear S, and I just updated the Gear S app for the phone through the Samsung store, etc.
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
Is anyone else having the same problem like I am having?
Recently purchased Elephone P9000, tried to connect it with my Sony Smartwatch 3 via blue-tooth after installing
android-wear app.
It paired and connected but there is a problem,
The watch says it is connected to the phone, but i don't get any call notification's,
nor any other notification's are coming through.
The music app cannot be controlled from the watch.
I cannot initiate any calls from the phone.
In blue-tooth paired devices my smartwatch shows that it is connected only for contact sharing.
Am i doing anything wrong?
How do i connect my smartwatch to the phone for all notification's.
Please help.
Thanks.
Hello all,
After a lot of frustration of not getting notification's on my Sony smartwatch,
and after playing a lot with the watch, i tumbled upon "Background Task Cleaner" in the Android settings,
I added "Android Wear App" to white-list.
Ree-booted watch and phone,
And lo - behold, I started getting notification's on the smart watch.
So if anyone else has the same problem, feel free to try my way.
Thank You.
I haven't used bluetooth much on this phone yet, so I don't know if this is device specific or a general problem. Anyway, my phone pairs with my car bluetooth dongle and works normally the first time, but when it's already paired it just won't connect, no matter what. It works again if I unpair it and pair it again, but that's not very convenient...
Has anyone else noticed this kind of behavior and is there a fix for it?
Try clearing the system cache and a network reset.
Well, I don't know what happened or changed but today it just worked... Weird.
Ah, turns out with this phone, I just need to wait until the dongle is properly initialized before trying to connect, otherwise it just gives up and won't even try again.
With my old Huawei, I could do it straight away and it would connect when it's done...

Try in safe mode. May have a 3rd party app conflict.
Could also be a coincidence and the crappy dongle is giving up.
It's a cheap eBay bought one that renders an mp3 file on the fly so the car stereo can play it like normal flash storage. My wife's Xiaomi also had some issues connecting to it yesterday, and today as I was driving music stopped several times and the stereo said "USB format incompatible", then skipped to the next track and continued. I'm planning on installing an Aux input into the car soon so I can plug a better bluetooth receiver into that, so hopefully that'll solve the problem.
