Hello,
i've searched XDA and the web but i did not find any answer to my question.
After flashing TWRP to my smartphone and starting into TWRP i set the different options of TWRP like language, 24-hour time display, MD5 check etc.
But after rebooting and using my smartphone as usual the next time i boot into TWRP all settings are resetted to the (standard) of TWRP - it seems
TWRP does not remember my settings. Is there an option to permanently save my settings in TWRP (language set to GERMAn, 24hour time format etc.) ??
Or can you tell me a thrad or a support mail address of the developer of TWRP for asking them to implement an option to save the user settings in TWRP
thus after entering TWRP the options set before are used again.
thanks

Hello,
sorry, i'm new here. My smartphone is a LeTV LeEco Le Max 2 (x820)
This is really weird, TWRP does save settings automatically.
You should try to flash TWRP again and see if the problem subsist.

I have many questions about my Changjiang N7300 Android 4.1 phone.
When the phone starts the Splash screen says Samsung SIII GT i9300. Does this mean anything?
I have two factory reset screens, both in Chinese. One is called a 1225 Recovery System from Taiwan101. Is this the same thing as the ClockWorkMod Recovery or is related to “recovery.img” used in flashing a ROM, or is it a Factory Reset system?
The translation of the options available in the 1225 Recovery System are:
- start system
- select update from SD card root directory
- clear Data/restore factory status
- clear Cache sector
- select update from SD card
- backup and restore
- mount and save
- advance
- shut down phone
- +++++ back to previous menu +++++
Is there a ClockCorkMod Recovery available for this phone? Is there any English Recovery System available?
My reset key combination is: Power + Volume_down + soft_button_back
Use volume to move up & down the menu
Use Power to select
The other system seems to be a factory reset that is built into firmware. It offers these menu options and many other screens which appear to be diagnostics.
factory mode
total debug
single index debug
debug report
clear MMC
version information
reset phone.
Most of the buttons to use the system are the same as the other recovery system, but to select an option you press the soft_button_home.
All you can do with this system is get the phone started. There is no apparent way to flash a ROM.
ROM options
What is the best ROM available for this phone?
I had good luck with one from Taiwan101
Taiwan101_ChangJiang-N7300_JB_V.04.3.zip
But the most recent and the one I am using now is:
Taiwan101_ChangJiang-N7300_JB_V.05.0.zip
I tried an Omega ROM here:
kitchen.indieroms.net
But it didn’t work.
Note I tried to post the links to these ROM, but they won't let me. Hope you can find them.
Support
I wanted to post some links to some support pages I found, but I can't.
Maybe you can search Google to find them.
Why is there no support for these 7300, 7100, 7180, 9300 etc. etc. MTK65xx phones?
I found a Japanese page with support for my N7300 on this web site: bygzam.seesaa.net ( under this article) 317473173
That page was developed from a Russian page that is a little easier to find..
Is there better support available in English?
This is a fake phone - it isn't a genuine one, and who knows what you can do with it???

Nice offer, thanks. Mine came rooted which was great. What I need is a way to install a Factory Reset or Recovery system in English. I bought the ROM Manager app from Play Store, but it doesn't have a ClockWorkMod recovery for this phone.

Hi there,
Sorry if this is a stupid question, just got the tablet yesterday and still am a newbie to Xiaomi MIUI...
New tablet (Miui-M7.5.2.0 stable over Android 5.1), fresh out of the box, logged into Google and opened playstore, message pops up and asks if I want to update SuperSU...?!?! Not what I would expect to be pre-installed...
Quick search for Netflix in the playstore - not there at all, brand new tablet not passing safetynet...
Is this normal and has got something to do with the custom MIUI interface?
I then got rid of SuperSu (as it's not the original chainfire one and no SuHide) via the inbuilt SuperSu menu (still not passing safetynet of course).
I installed the Magisk MANAGER (not Magisk!) as it checks for safetynet. After SuperSu deinstalled the tablet is marked as not rooted, manager has an option to install Magisk - would this be safe to do via the manager and not via TWRP or similar? (then I could try the hide root option)
Developer options show that USB debugging is enabled, OEM unlocking however is not.
Other things I noticed - MIUI interface is pretty 'aggressive' (didn't allow to change the default launcher) and there are a lot of background services connecting to the internet (Xiaomi service framework, Intel, Mi Cloud, inbuilt Calendar - tablet works fine if blocking them with the noroot firewall).
In the developer options the 'MIUI optimization' can be turned off - would this revert it to something more 'stock'?
The tablet, when long-pressing the power button and choosing reboot, also gives the option to boot into recovery and fastboot. Booting into system then takes ages (I thought it would get stuck) - is this due to the MIUI 'optimization'?
So,not sure if this system is just very 'open' or has been tempered with beforehand?
Thanks a lot for your help everyone!
Edit: Aaaargh - sorry, meant to be in the Q&A thread

Hi there,
Thanks a lot for the link -
I'm not 100% sure that's what I need as the Mi Pad 2 is not unlocked or has TWRP installed - at the moment it should still have full warranty as I (apart from uninstalling the included SU via the app itself) have not altered the system as such.
Going down that path would mean Unlock, flash TWRP and Magisk, then the patch if still needed.
It might be worth a try if there is no other solution, but afaik under the loss of warranty....
I was trying to install cm 13 on my LG-P769... I followed everything as mentioned in the post and ended up with reverse screen, touch is not working (it is but I don't know the exact location). Im trying to access developer option so that I can reboot to twrp and refresh another ram again but it keeps on redirecting me back to language selection screen after asking me if I want to setup a google account.
Please Help!!!

Update: I was able to go to twrp recovery but the touchscreen is still busted so I swipe to restore or even clear data
HEllo, i have Reddmi note 4 global
With Lineage 14.1 + Franco KERNEL + MAGISK.v16
make ALL the WIPES BUT the unlock pattern he keeps asking me when turning on the device or in TWRP.
also my name appears...
What happens if tomorrow I want to sell it? I should give this information to the buyer..
I would like to remove this pattern forever, every time the device is started, and I even ask for it in the TWRP.
it's possible?
Try formatting the data partition. Format - not wipe.
PS: this will also wipe all data on your internal memory - so you had better have all that data backed up.

Hi, thanks to both, I managed to fix it, re-activating the fingerprint and disabling the start option. Then I turned it off again.
You have to remove the safe startup option.
Greetings and thanks.
Mentions that matter
Device: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
ROM: MIUI 11.0.3 (Android 10 - Public Beta, installed through TWRP from a zip file and not the "regular channel)
Root: Magisk
Now, I was playing with some resolution/dpi apps and I faced one that was ultimate messed my device, the app is called "Easy DPI Changer", setting 200 dpi did the trick to make everything bit enough and freeze my device and after a while cause a reboot.
After the reboot it goes into recovery mode(TWRP), well tried to remove Magisk and maybe it wouldn't give access to the app so it would come back normal? ...big mistake.
The issue remained as it tries to boot into the android interface it feezes and after a while boom - reboot. Removing magisk also make TWRP to disappear and bring up the Mi-Recovery 3.0(stock recovery), I can fastboot TWRP although it doesn't ask for a password anymore and after second reboot stock recovery comes back
Tried to use ADB(through TWRP) but had no luck performing a command like "adb shell wm density 560" I get -- "error: closed", I tried some other ADB installers and manage to make it "work" but also had different error messages. How can I "fix" the dpi in order to use the phone and reverse what the app did?
Not sure if someone can actually help me with this but here there are some brilliant minds so I guess I might have some luck with it - it's not an everyday case, btw deleting everything and doing them over is the easiest solution but this means data would be gone so as settings and tons of other stuff which is not something that I'll prefer to do
Thank you in advance
-------------------------------
Kind of fix it, fastboot the device to flash twrp once more, flash a custom rom ...booted with weird size logo(still had weird dpi) -DirtyFlash obviously- I'll root it change the dpi back, ditch that app after I set things back and reflash miui ..it might mess things up but at least it seems to be working(MIUI seems broken but I'll try to get all my data and ditch it anyway, I test this global beta enough)
