Hello Guys Today i will Show you How to Root your J5 (Specially for NOOBIES)
1. Try to root using CF-AutoRoot (J500F)

[Other Variants]

2. Flash TWRP for MM using Odin then Flash Latest SuperSU.zip from TWRP
SuperSU.zip

and you're DONE! :good:
INFO :- you need a Working PC for this steps and you will get a Stable Root (system-less-root)
☆you can try Kingroot to Root your J500F without PC but you can get only (Temp-root) means after you reboot the root access will gone... you have to re-root☆
Kingroot.apk
https://kingroot.net/
Advantages
Root using PC gives Stable Root
Root using KingRoot gives Temporary Root
Disadvantages
Root using PC will void your Warranty forever (knox gets tripped)
Root using KingRoot will not void your warranty (knox will stay 0x0
hope i helped you thank you!

J5 Root ?
Works on my SM-J500F - Marshmallow 6.01
I used method 2 - works great - thank you
checks out with Root Checker after second reboot
Ty for letting community know about this.
There is just one thing, guys don't use first method, never ROOT your phone from an app, because it is going to root your phone (probably) but it will install whole bunch of other **** you don't want.
Always use TWRP and flash latest SuperSU
All the best wishes.

Suggest me a proper solution ! I really need to unroot my device !
Will be waiting for your reply !
Please help !!!!
NOTE : I dont have any stock rom available for the device so i cant flash it to unroot my device
PS : i have Super SU installed . What will happen if i remove supersu.apk from system/app ? will the device get unrooted ?
i am using karbonn a21
Uninstalling supersu will not unroot phone but without it no app can get root permission.
Why are you trying unroot?
Sent from my ST21i
There is an option in SuperSU to unroot phone . What about that ?
PS:Need to give it to a service center for faulty wifi device
Sent from my A21 using xda app-developers app
I think that will only remove supersu and other root apps. You can try that. Or just uninstall it. Either ways its unlikely they will ask about root or check at service center.
worst case you have to pay service fee only.
Hit Thanks if I helped you!
Try Factory reset and wipe cache via recovery

Hello Guys and welcome to my tutorial . I'm gonna show you how to root your Samsung Galaxy Star 2 without flashing any roms.
There is two methods of rooting your SGS2
1-Through Computer
2-Through your mobile itself
Tools
1-USB Cable "If you are gonna use PC method"
2-Root Master for windows "Download" If you are gonna use PC method"
3-If you are gonna root ur mobile without pc download root master apk from here
Steps "PC":
1-Connect your mobile to your PC
2-enable USB Debugging from Developers options
3-Launch Root master
4-Root Master will check your phone
5-Click Root
Congratulations you have just Rooted your phone
Steps "Mobile":
Open Root Master on your phone.

After your phone is recognized on the interface, please click "Start" to start rooting your phone.
1. It may take minutes to finish rooting. The different phone will lead to the different duration of rooting process.
2. When rooting successfully, your phone will reboot.
After seconds or minutes, you phone will be successfully rooted.
After rooting, you will get the root permission of your phone and use SuperUser to manage your phone. Now you are able to use more hidden features, uninstall unnecessary preinstalled apps, flash a custom ROM, optimize your system, etc. In a word, you will begin to completely master and enjoy your phone.
Thanks for the guide to root android device.
it did not work thru "root master apk", it says the phone is too strong.

same issue with me , i have rooted the devices and its running .108 ... now i am only one step away to start testing the roms but i am unable to load the recovery or flash the recovery to device .... tried the TWRP app it gave me error message that recovery partioin not found... please help us to install recovery ...
regards
pint
Try xz dual recovery it worked for me,make sure you are rooted either via supersu or superuser
-Root yours using any method (.108 is kinda easy to root, for me I use kingroot.net).
-Install Nut's Dual Recovery using appropriate one from nut.xperia-files.com (don't forget to enable and authorize incoming USB connection on your phone and allow root access).
-As soon as it finished installing, it should boot into TWRP (if no error occurred, sometimes using old version of nut recovery installer works when not installing)
-Flash Latest SuperSU zip (If you want SuperSU instead of Kingroot, Kingoroot, etc.).
Good Luck.
I have installed custom recovery(CWM) in my phone
alps_QMobile_x32_v2 1GB_Ram_Marshmallow

Hey I am running on the mdk bootloader and I have TWRP installed. I tried that nice rom called Optimized LineageOS-14 and it is pretty sweet. but I could not get root on that rom because SuperSu 2.79 would just not flash for me in twrp. I tried 2.52 beta but that would not let my phone boot. Any suggestions to help me find a SU manager that can work for this phone on 7.1?

I'm not sure if this will work for an Unofficial LineageOS but, the Official LineageOS website has an extras area with the addonSU for their LineageOS 14.1 releases.
https://download.lineageos.org/extras
Again, I can't guarantee that it will work for an Unofficial LOS14.1 but, you can give it a try.
Good Luck!

Nougat requires systemless root. The old SuperSU zips won't work.
