Hi, I ordered the x822 from China and it has a Chinese ROM which is 5.8.018s(Stable), but I want to switch to the Indian ROM with 19s as I've noticed in the forums, that it is the most stable ROM so far.
Is it possible to flash that ROM without root or twrp? I don't want to root my phone, right now!
I am very new to this and any help is much appreciated.
I had another question. The ROM that is currently installed doesn't seem to have the System Updater. Is it because it is not an Official ROM? Thank you.

You can install the 21s is stock but beta and is the best stock rom right now and you can install it by the updater
Download the rom you want ( Indian 19s in your case).
1- Put it in the main directory.
2- Rename it to update.zip
3- Enter recovery mode. (Shut down your phone. Press volume up+power up button together. You will go into recovery mode).
4- Press update and wait.
You don't need root, and charge your phone before doing this.

i've this rom on my redmi3 bougth from MI-Italia.
It worked fine from June until a few days ago when it starts automatically browser with strange pages of download or porno. If I press Home it works well, but after pages come back.
So I would install a good rom.
I've not yet requested unblock to xiaomi (how can i do it?) and i've seen some guide to install a global rom with italian.
But I'm afraid to make mistakes cause in this time i need phone, so i'm searching any other way to resolve issue.
If I make backup, then factory reset, then restore to my backup, maybe issue would be resolved?
Any other suggest?
thanks

You can install official Xiaomi Global rom with MiFlash. 77.1 rom is sellers modified rom, I recommend change it as fast as you can. Have you got Redmi 3 on Android 5.1? If yes download first rom.
.......
You only have to install rom in download rom, not in fastboot rom, becouse you have locked bootloader.

I ordered the Le Max 2 X822 yesterday and it will ship with multilanguage ROM on it. I am just wondering if there is a detailed method with proper instructions about how to install official ROM on this phone via QFIL. I don't want to unlock the bootloader or ROOT the phone right now. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

Thank you for the link. Which is the most stable ROM(s). I'm sure each have their pros and cons. But which among that listdo you think is the most stable?

I don't plan to root my phone at the moment, so might try other ROM's later.

Just ask your seller not to touch the phone and send it to you in the sealed original box. I did it that way and update the phone OTA.
Here you go my friends!
----------INSTALLATION---------
Of course you have all ready installed the drivers on the PC> adb drivers LeEco_X820_LeMAX2 if not..
minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.4_setup
1.) Download the recovery (LeEco_X820_LEMAX2_STOCK_RECOVERY.rar) from here: https://mega.nz/#!NVUx1TIZ!sX-up2b6uohWLPVPYBLovcGjFPi8XceE_LAqQKYZ9pU
2.) Then unzip it and find inside the (LeEco_X820_LEMAX2_STOCK_RECOVERY) file, the (X820_FASTBOOT_v4.exe)
3.) Connect the mobile to PC and hold down the keys Vol (-) & Power on / off to get into fastboot mode.
3.) Press right click and Run as administrator the X820_FASTBOOT_v4.exe, press ONE time backspace to install stock recovery on your phone and second (as it says the program) untill write the LeEco Recovery and remove phone.
4.) Enter to recovery and you have back the Letv LeEco stock recovery on English Language for Official rom upgrades.

In my phone is only in English. Maybe your bootloader is China netcom and reading this location. My X822 bootloader is India common and the recovery show up on English language.
I don't know. I'm on India 19s stock rom, getting ready to pass the phone further so I decided to put stock rom with gapps on it. I rooted it and flashed twrp for my use, but I want to return it to stock when I erase data..
Nevermind I will just flash the rom again and get the stock recovery that way..

Very good solution. If you have a backup from your stock recovery just flashed through TWRP.
Just Updated on English Language

I'm not really sure though, I asked on another post and someone said that switching between ROMS is quite easy if it is the official ROM. But I'm not sure about how to find if the ROM that the seller installed is Official or not. It probably isn't and this is where my question is. What if I place the update.zip file and go to recovery and update, but it bricks the phone? Can it be recovered at all?

You didn't have an official rom but just a rom from a Chinese store, try mokee or Cm13 or a Miui because I don't think that there is an eui rom with romanian
Installed cuoco92 rom now and Romanian is back (also a lot more languages than in stock rom are available in this version). Not the best translation but ok.
So after checking the Xiaomi firmware site (didn't work, flashing the weekly firmware just appeared as stable) I haven't been able to get the developer firmware.
Does anybody know where I can get a hold of it without the MIUI ROM.
(It's needed for the latest Pixel Experience update and it isn't included with the update)
Title is meant to say MIUI ROM not room, autocorrect sorry.
