Hello guys i've rebuilt lastest kernel (1.2.1 rev in SonyXperia World github) and generated dtb from that source. Then i compiled cwm with this kernel from cm12.1 source.
Someone with rooted phone could test it ?

That isn't due to Linux man, it's because we have a unfinished kernel!
Like I already mentioned, many people are working hard to get it done.
I hope u will understand it

Use the fastboot.exe available in my download site (under Tools). Repeat the flash a few times...
If still getting the error then manually flash the boot and recovery img from firmware.zip, reboot the device and try once again.

Hello,
Can somebody explain me how to upgrade to, everytime i try my phone bricks and im not able to boot it back.
This is what i do:
Xperia z2 d6503 eXistenZ 4.7 Marshmallow
i download twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img from https://dl.twrp.me/sirius/
i reboot on recovery to install the .img and it only shows (Kernel) to select after flash/reboot /breaks.
So what i do is recover using

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img ( this is twrp 2.8.7.0)
fastboot reboot
and restore using a backup.
Any ideas?

/boot and /recovery are two DIFFERENT partition. So what you did is just flashing the right thing ( TWRP .img ) into the wrong partition.
I am wondering if you know how to play with those fastboot command, why dont you just simply flash the TWRP 302-0 using the fastboot method (?) using the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img

i know boot and recovery are 2 dferrent things
i tried
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img
But after restarting my android flash on red and doesnt boot anymore.
i should read first next time:
Download the latest image file (.img) from the download link above. Place it in the root of your /sdcard folder and rename it to twrp.img. Run the following commands via adb shell or a terminal emulator app:
su
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel

I did that, still shows 2.8.7.0 installed.....
Well, eXZ 5.1 comes with TWRP installed, so you may consider upgrading to it.
1. Flash a custom kernel out there with TWRP installed using flashtool by androxyde.
2. Flash base rom and update zip.
3. Flash addon ( if any ).
4. Reboot into system.
5. Done.

Hi,
I've got a Z2 on android 5.0.2. I successfully unlocked the bootloader (through the Sony site) thinking that flashing TWRP would be easy then. It was a piece of cake on my Z1 compact, but I can't get the Z2 to boot into recovery. I downloaded and flashed several TWRP versions (including the one from the TWRP website) with both
Code:
flash recovery
and
Code:
flash FOTAKernel
. Flashing seems to be going OK, but the phone keeps booting Android. I tried adb reboot recovery and holding vol down and power.
I'm probably missing something. I went through a bunch of posts, but can anyone explain to me how I can flash a custom recovery to this one and actually boot into it...?
OK...
I thought I found the answer and flashed the stock-17.1.1.A.0.402-sirius-repack.img to boot (that number in there should have rang some bells...). It helped getting me into TWRP, but now I'm stuck in a nice bootloop.
Is there a way to get out of the loop and stay on the ROM (stock) which was on the phone?
1 - Install Adb installer
(https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118)
2- Download the twrp.img that matches the os.
3- Copy it to c:adb.
4- Open a CMD as admin.( just to be on the safe side)
5- Type in
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery <twrp_image_name>.img
adb reboot recovery
7 - If everything goes well, your phone will reboot into recovery.
If things are unclear refer to this guide
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/
Let me know how it goes
