Why don't you unlock your device again while you are in fastboot mode?
Use Mi Tool and unlock it, flash alka Twrp and install any custom Rom so that it boots properly, Meanwhile download miui 7.1.8 stable from the website and then flash it in a proper way!
I bricked it a couple of days back, It was neither entering into recovery mode nor was it booting. Above steps saved me.
P.S why specifically 7.1.8? why not 6.11.3?
I have the latter one, I can upload if you want.

Anything will be slow on that connection even a google drive link
I think you should unlock your phone again.
Here is the everything what you need
https://mega.nz/#F!LUxlHJBC!RK5_8fta4XWAVFqWoWrvjQ or Click Here
Mega let you pause/resume you downloads in other words, better than Google Drive for fast downloads.
Create free account on Mega before you proceed. Because Non-Registered users have limit of 500MB.
'KenzoUnlock' zip is of MIUI 7
If you are unable to boot in EDL mode, use this guide to boot it from fastboot
Link to guide
Just use command
Code:
fastboot reboot-edl
If you are unable to install drivers while installing MiPhone, try disabling driver signature verification on windows.
Link to disable driver signature verification
Then install MiPhone again.
I hope it helps! :fingers-crossed:

Otherwise I would have used an MSM tool by now The main reason I actually got into this information and I have been scouring source code is my OnePlus 8 pro is in deep sleep mode cuz I flashed the wrong ram type and I can deep flash it I found out which means it's alive I don't know this cuz I plugged it into my one plus eight pro and it picked it up my computer however will not so I'm currently trying to figure out a way to actually deep flash it in the way I found out about this is the qmi (QuadCom MSM interface) which once I start searching all that I found out there is a library libqmi and more so I basically have been making posts trying to give out as much information as possible to help

Hello guys, i really need some help here. I bought RN4 with unofficial Global rom, i already have asked for bootloader unlock permission and waiting, but i read that i cannot do it if i have unofficial rom so i tryied to install the developer official china rom but i failed. I tried with the chinese MiSuite in recovery mode, the programm goes to start the install of the downloaded rom (China Developer official from xiaomi site) but it appears an error before even start (in chineese, i cannot tell what it says) and it is like Retry or Cancel (of course Retry does nothing) can anyone help me? Thank you very much.

This one is for Mediatek I guess what about SD any ideas?
If the phone has an unofficial ROM, then it means that the bootloader is already unlocked. You can pass to an official ROM just by following this guide.
If the bootloader is locked, you can unlock following this guide (that is valid for all Xiaomi phone with locked bootloader).

WE HAVE FOR THIS MODEL NOW ALL WORKING:
#1: Stock Rom
#2: OEM Unlock
#3: Root
now all we need is: missing is: #4 Custom Recovery, Shouldn't

Hi everybody,
I am stuck at fastboot because I don't have the specific driver. How did you pass that ?
It's an ADB problem ... download the lastest ADB drivers and latest Mediatek USB drivers
Try fastboot devices ... If you don't see your phone you have to work with drivers

I'm trying to get full Ubuntu working on the mido and I'm having some problems where the screen doesn't update (stuck on Mi Bunny logo) when booting a kernel using fastboot boot with arguments to boot it from a USB flash drive. If I can get access to the UART console I can see the messages preventing it from booting.

Good news here guys.
I found this TWRP recovery modded for our specific phone, MI 8 EE URSA, made by the modder BB72.
Download link: https://drive.google.com/uc?authuser=0&id=1jpeSarFRrjuYFEvW-guMIABgmZukC9eh&export=download
I found this in an Italian blog, I paste here the link for the source, but if it's against the forum rules I remove it: http://blog.grossoshop.net/xiaomi-mi-8-explorer-flash-eu-rom/
I haven't tried yet becouse i have to wait for unlocking bootloader. But it should work.
With this no need to modify the rom filename in dipper. Just download any customs / xiaomi eu rom and flash.

Hi - I have the new variant of the Mi 8 (Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8 UD - equuleus) - which is basically the Explorer edition without FaceID - everything else it the same.
I cannot get into the Recovery after flashing it in Fastboot mode - I have unlocked my bootloader and am able to flash successfully, but cannot boot into recovery. Once I boot into the system - the Mi recovery replaces the TWRP - any ideas?
