is there a way to enable volte in any custom rom or is it not even possible? i have heard that flashing stock modem files will make it work... is that possible?
VoLTE function is included in official rom, not sure in CM13

CM 13 doesn't have VoLTE support
Yes man, i know that. That was not the question: VoLTE function is included in official rom
And for me it dont work in STOCK ROM ...
Have you activate " priority 4g "

Yes, the same sim card with my Blackview P2 runs great with VoLTE, but not the Max 2

It's a known fact that VoLTE is not supported in any custom ROM for this device as of now. I saw some people saying that flashing the radio zip enable the "Enhance 4g Mode" in settings. I'm on slim ROM without any radio files. If you have flashed the files and see that option, please let me know. Because I don't wanna fix anything that is not broken.
BTW, what does the radio file contains? MM Bootloader? And if I flash it, will I be able to go back to MIUI 8 global(5.1) backup that I made with TWRP without any issues. Your help will be appreciated.

Actually I don't use volte ,but everything is fine now in MIUI after using Official RR with cm radio ..but u shld have a twrp alka backup to go back to MIUI.
tried slim,hexagon,orion,cm13 lte is fine but only with data and even jio join is not working in my case..regarding radio zips i have flashed them earlier but changed the boot image and fastboot mode also starts showing cm ..have to reboot in edl mode and then revert back miui 7 ...don,t know about restoring i never tried .

in my case jiojoin upon registering not showing the dailer so cant use jiojoin..dont know wats the issue

Nope.. you can't have fully functional volte support in india with jio. Its better to stay with jio 4gvoice.

Thanks for the reply. Im using jio4voice but volte from default dialer is good right. With marshmallow i had volte but with nougat its gone. Is it possible to flash h850 marshmallow (uk vodafone) firmware again?

Even with same model ( h850 ) there are various carrier based rom specific to region ( like of vodafone etc ). All the roms ( of h850 not 860) can be installed to every h850 but some functions may vary. For eg when i got my mobile...rom of Germany based region was installed but even with marshmallow my phone was not having volte. I think you have installed open euro nougat rom in which volte is not supported.
Now you can try searching or flashing nougat rom of vodafone carrier.

Do you have volte option in call settings ? Go to hidden menu filed test > gpri volte ... Check whether volte is enabled or not.

Downloaded kdz from androidsoul.com & flashed using lg up

Till now I had to use a heavy(drains a lot of battery & cpu) app for Volte functionality (on Reliance Jio ).
I went through some threads on how to get volte working on lineageOS(op2) and found this one

I assume this is for Indian market with A2003 model of the phones, right? I'm in US market with A2005 model and I cannot get VoLTE on any custom ROM, except OOS 3.6.0...

It was already enabled by default. I've been reporting this issue for about a year now... There is no solution as far as I know, but thanks for trying. Back on OOS now... Till I get a new device as I really have no choice.

Damn! I hope lineage makes one working volte build by combining new oos firmware but I am still confused why the same method is not working for your phone ? What's the difference between a2003 and a2005 except memory ?

As far as I know everything is identical even memory. The only difference is with 4G/LTE network bands.
A2003:
LTE Cat4 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600 (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20).
TD-LTE 2300/2500 (Bands 38, 40, 41).
A2005:
LTE Cat4 700/850/900/1700/1900/2100/2600 (Bands 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17).
Somewhere here is the cause of the issue internally in all the custom ROMs that is not the case with OOS 3.6.0. But since most if not all development is done on A2003, this will never be resolved, unfortunately.
This fix is for All Generic System Images booted in Redmi 8A, With this flashable zip you can enable VoLTE in Your Redmi 8A in Any GSI's.

How to Install This Fix :-
-Make Sure you have Twrp Installed & Booted a GSI or ROM
-Boot to TWRP/Any Other Recovery
-Select Zip, and Flash it

It all depends on your carrier whether they've implemented Volte in your location or not, no extra steps are needed.

miui itself comes with VoLTE Enabled Just Go to setting and search for VoLTE, But This depends on your network carrier that it supports VoLTE or Not. Thanks : )

It Depends Upon Your Carrier, If they support VoLTE & VoWiFi. However this fix can enable VoLTE in all Other GSI's and Custom ROMs
I have tried this VoLTE fix does not do anything and I am on Android 10

that did not even recognize my phone as a Qualcomm phone and freaked out
Any updates on . I had been steady with havoc for last 2 years unfortunately have to flip back to stock just for this reason. How does a Wotk does it need you to install the original boot image without magisk alteration and then add the magisk patch. Did not get any error but at the same time nothing happened
