I want to hear a different tone when I set an alarm with Google Assistant.
I've edited the default tone once in build.prop but it has no effect.
Does anyone know where else the default tone is referenced?
SOLVED
But not before having to add Google Clock alongside my original clock app and the other 859.7MB of Google apps already installed.

Just went to JB. The only complaint I have is the alarm....Has anyone made a APK from the blur alarm that will work on JB?
+1
What's wrong with the built in alarm? Unless you can't find it like I couldn't at first. LOL. Hit the clock app in the app drawer. Then there is "Set alarm" You can access it from there or just use Google Now to set one.
Sent from my Kindle Fire running CM10
There was an alarm clock named Blur Alarm in the GB and I think it was beautiful. It has a slide to dismiss function for example what I can't find any other third party app...
Timer
Has anyone been able to locate timer in the JB build. Seems to be missing from the stock clock app
Anyone know of any alarm clock that will use voice and works for the latest Jellybean builds? The alarm clock in GB had an option for voice output as well as the music alarm and I used to use SVOX classic's "Victoria" voice to make these cute announcements. The stock clock in Jellybean doesn't have a voice alarm option.
Hello,
I want to put MP3 file that I put on the device as an alarm clock
And run it from the default alarm clock application.
I have a file browser on the device, and when I open the alarm clock via the default app he asks if
I authorize the-clock access to files on the device, I check yes but he still give me option to choose only the default tones which are awful.
I can not select a ringtone through the alarm clock and it doesn't ask if I want to search through a file explorer
I remember once he was asking ...
I checked and realized that there is a folder under the system folder which holds the ogg tone files
I could not move there the ringtone I want, I am not sure if its a privileges issue or that I didn't created the tone file properly
Ogg file and such.
I tried to use third-party software Alarm Clock Xtreme and the clock did not ring me for two days in the morning so I do not want
to use it anymore.
I prefer to use the default Alarm clock app, I like more the design and interface.
Please help me get music file I created through the default alarm clock app
Thank you
Hi, I am using realme 2 pro on latest Color OS stable update.
This issue/lack of feature had been since day 1. There is no remaining time popup from alarm clock like it is there in default stock google clock or MIUI clock or any other ROM clock.
Whenever I set alarm for a particular time, the clocks in all other phones/ROMS says the remaining time until that particular alarm. But there is no such notification/pop-up coming in default clock of Realme2 pro and I desperately need it.
Installing Google Clock was the solution that I thought but it gets cleaned out whenever it goes in background and then alarm will not work on time as google clock is not running.
Hence need the option in default clock itself.

Click to collapse
You can try to go to recents, when goofle click is in foreground. Then swipe the app downwards, you will get a lock app option . Once locked app wouldn't clear from background further you can go to app info and go to power saver option and select allow running in the background.
when use google assistance to enable the alarm clock, it always use default XT ringtone, can we change default alarm clock ringtone?
