I have Sony Xperia c5 ultra dual. It was bought in nov2015. Right from the beginning the problem I am facing is that some of the photos I clicked, when viewed later gets greyed.
I have a Sony sd card. I have changed the option of storing photos in internal memory but still it is happening.
I have given it for support center, done a repair through pc repair. But nothing helped.
Please help me in solving this. I have to delete many of such photos unwillingly
Thanks!

I'm having a nasty problem with my Razr XT910 where it is randomly losing my photos taken with the cam. I can take a pic and it shows up in the upper corner as usual. If I click on it it switches to the pic viewer as it should and shows the pic, but often when I open the gallery later, it will show thumbnails for my pics but if I click on one it is blank. If I swipe back a whole bunch of times it will eventually find and display an old pic, then for some reason when I swipe forward again it will show most of the ones that were missing a moment ago, but if I tap on them it wont bring up the menu to share, etc. If I plug my phone into my pc to try and back up my pics, it then deletes all of them before I can transfer anything. I am using the stock camera app and it is set to store pics to the SD card.
I have lost all my pictures several times now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Now that is a weird problem, could be a problem with your sd card.
Try set it to store in internal memory and see if it has the same problem/
I remember I brought a fake mini sd and once it reached the real capacity, the pics are always blank...but the thumbnails show up coz it is stored near the start of the sd card.
I took some pictures with my LG V10 over the last 24 hours to test the camera out. I am able to preview the picture once it has been taken. Today I went to show some friends the pics I took and they are showing as either unsupported or they are not listed in the Camera or DCIM folder using ES File Explorer. I went checked my Google Photos and the pictures are there and they are showing fine.
I decided to take another picture a minute ago and check my LG Gallery on my V10 and the pic was there briefly and then it disappeared but it appeared in my Google Photos gallery. I have a 128GB micro SD card that has 125GB of free space so I know it is not a space issue.
I have reformatted the Micro SD card and the photos are either showing up as an unsupported format or it is missing. I just took a picture and saved it to the V10 and not the SD card and the pictures are still in my Gallery. My mind is blown right now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just me?
Exactly the same thing here.
I have had my LGv10 for about 5 days now. I absolutely love it. But some pictures I took that I was rather proud of are nowhere to be found in the Galllery app. Fortunately, I shared them on Facebook, where I was able to download them.

Not mindblowing at all. You have a defective microSD card. Replace it.
I have had the same problems with no sdcard installed.
I do not use a Micro SD in my V10 and I have this issue. I'll take a picture with the back camera, it will appear in the preview circle in the bottom right corner, then in a split second dissappear. I do not have this issue with pictures from my front camera.
Ive never experienced this....by chance has anyone clicked on the menu in the gallery to show locked files? Maybe somehow they were locked after taking the photo? This is the only thing i can think of. Hope it helps any
Also check google picture settings. There is one that will "free" up phone space after it has backup the picture to google.
I found same issue on my V10 and found they were saving to my Verizon media and update of the app made all photos go there in my internal storage.
Hello,
I recently adopted on Xiaomi miA3 a 32GB MicroSD card as Internal Storage, everything works fine, the storage space has effectively increased from 64GB up to 96GB...But unfortunately the Stock Camera got a problem: whenever I take a picture, I am not able to open it anymore. The preview circle on the bottom left of the Camera app becomes all gray and the photo is not saved on the usual 'Camera' folder, neither somewhere else. Even if I take a picture from WhatsApp it says: 'Camera failed'.
Please if anybody else got a similar problem or knows how to solve it, help me.
Thank you
Having had a quick look through this forum's threads, it doesn't seem that this is an issue other people are having - but I got this phone a few weeks ago. Used it at a show I went to and I was really excited to share all of the photos and videos I'd taken but then found later in the night that they had all been deleted from the SD card. This doesn't happen when saving files to the internal memory, but I am still getting error messages.
Sometimes when I open the camera app, I get an error saying "SD card unavailable". When opening the camera app a second time, I don't have this issue.
I have already changed the SD card as I thought initially that this was the problem. I have used a file recovery program and though all files have been deleted from the DCIM/100ANDRO folder, only the last few photos that I took with the first SD card are recoverable, which makes me think that all the previous photos and videos I'd taken were probably saved but have then been deleted for whatever reason.
I'm using Android 10 (55.1.A.0.748) with NOBA customisation (though I started encountering this issue when using the phone at the end of November so I'm pretty sure I was using Android 9 at that point). I've not tried a software repair yet as I don't know if it will fix the issue and was hoping that someone else may have also experienced the same problem and can offer a nicer solution.
What type of formatting are you using in sdcard?
FAT32, EXFAT?
Test using a program on your computer, if possible using a memory card adapter only.
This kind of error I already saw and was due to a faulty sdcard.

I thought the problem might be with the memory card or the file system too but it's happening with two brand new memory cards, both formatted with the phone itself. Also the only data that was deleted was in the DCIM/100ANDRO folder; everything else was fine. Would you expect that to occur if the fault was with the memory card? Considering how much other data was on it, I'd have expected to already be experiencing problems in other apps if the memory card was the issue. I still get the error message when the phone's internal memory is selected in the camera app.
This is the directory that the camera application accesses.
Probably a problem reading instruction to write data to memory card.
That's why I suggested you test the card using some memory analysis program on your computer.
Try H2TESTW.

The memory cards are fine. The problem is with the phone, but is it a software issue or a hardware issue?
I am recommending it because I have come across the problem you described.
But the error message also occurs when using the internal storage ?
Then try reinstalling the software from scratch using Xperia Companion.

The whole point of my asking on here was to try and avoid doing that but it doesn't sound like you've encountered this error in the same set of circumstances as me.
As the title already said, on the gallery app of my Tab S7plus all the pictures are black...
It only concerns the camera pictures. I did share a few of these with my phone and they do arrive black on the phone.
I removed the camera and gallery updates. Did restarted the tablet without luck.
I have 239 black camera pictures out a total of nearly 17000 other pictures so only 239 are affected.
New pictures taken by the camera appear normal.
The camera pictures are stored on my micro SD card along with the others.
All data on the micro SD card is intact, so its really only the camera folder which seems affected.
I did found some hits on google about a similar issue on the note 5...but the suggested tips are not helping me.
Perhaps the SD memory controller is too slow or a lot of memory cells are already used up and data writing does not finish properly.
I advise you to replace the SD memory or use DCIM in internal storage.
This happened to me, the cards curropted.
If the SD card is corrupted it is only limited to the camera folder while the other pictures and files on that SD card are still ok. 72.4GB used out of 256GB.
To me it seems that the camera app messed with the pictures in that folder and whatever it was it seems fine now as new pictures taken with the camera are showing correctly in the camera folder.
I already accepted that I lost these 239 pictures in that folder.
I do will make a backup from this SD card in case it fails...
