Hey Guys!
(Sorry if I can't explain it well, this is my first post and my english is poor)
I don't know if anyone else posted a similar thread before, but finally I have found a solution that fix the issue of playing YouTube videos on 1080p60fps.
It's easy, you just need activate Developer Options and there turn on Disable Hardware Overlays.
Steps to activate Developer Options:
1. Go to Settings>About Device> Tap "Build Number" five or six times until a message appears.
2. Go back to Settings and look at the bottom, will be a section called "Developer Options"
Steps to turn on Disable Hardware Overlays:
1. In the menu of Developer Options, scroll down and search in the section "Hardware-accelerated Rendering" a option called "Disable Hardware Overlays"
2. Enable that option
3. Play any YouTube video in 1080p60fps.
And it's all.
Seems to works on any Samsung Device (Galaxy S5 Neo for example).
Tested on my Galaxy A5 2016 with Stock Marshmallow 6.0 (and works on Lollipop too)
EDIT*
When you turn off or reboot the device, automatically that option will be deactivated.
Just repeat the steps for activate "Disable Hardware Overlays" again.
thank you so much
worked for me!!!
Thanks it is working
Holy ****, this actually works . Thank you so much dude, I'm watching so much YouTube on my A5 2016 and I hated the fact that it couldn't run 1080p60fps.
Yes, amazing, thank you
WOW fixed my LG G5
I've been having this issue on my G5 for as long as I can remember!! THANKS SO MUCH for the fix.
I just tried this old script on my A310F and Disable HW Overlays option was still enabled on reboot.
Script is originaly written by @titanic_fanatic
I put it in su.d-folder with perm 755. Should work from init.d as well.
I believe it works but I can't watch ANY 1080p60 videos!!!!
Do you know a solution??

Auto-rotate didn't work on a fresh install on LineageOS, though it works on stock.
The solution (found on the linked page) was to add the following lines to /system/build.prop
Code:
log.tag.launcher_force_rotate=VERBOSE
lockscreen.rot_override=true
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/how-to-enable-auto-rotate-lockscreen-t3245988
When I installed LineageOS and discovered the problem, I could never find a solution and eventually gave up—settling on manual rotation instead. But I managed to come across the solution recently while researching how to make the lock-screen rotation match the selected angle. That is, the lock-screen fix resolved the auto-rotation problem as a side-effect.
I was going to post this as a reply to one of the threads I previously found that mention the problem but now I can't find them... You'd think I'd be able to find the other threads just as easily now as before... Surely I didn't dream all that, right? Hehe.
Judging from what I read previously (and the fact that I experienced it), this appears to be an ongoing issue with no known solution. So, I made this thread. I hope that is acceptable.
Have the same issue on RedMi with LineageOS but this still doesn't solve the problem
Hi Folks,
at the Beginning i installed yalp Store, to download from playstore the App "Sensores Multitool". Its good to check if your Accelerometer work or is damaged.
Here it works but the linageos behaviour did not!
I had the issue the my Desktop, Main Screen did not turn.
Lets try to observe the issue and nail it down.
First step: Activate Auto Rotation in the Bar at the Top, do not know the right Notation for that. Its the Quick Navigation.
Then you have a Setting in your "Settings" -> "Display", like Screen rotating.
Play with Lock Screen Orientation (activate it and check if the Lock Screen (where you enter your Pin..) change Orientation if you activate and deactivate it!). Here it does.
Check if you have Settings open and your Settings twist if you rotate your phone physically... - here it works too!
Maybe you set, as i do your Desktop/Start Page/Main Screen/Trebuchet to keep an Orientation . Press and Hold your Desktop, like you would change the background image or install widgets. Now you check out its gear wheel Settings.. and check if there is another Setting to enable or disable Turns/rotation.
If that is set, your Start Page, Desktop or Main-Screen will force back to your choose Orientation, which seems that the auto rotation did not work.
Oh i think the Lineageos official Name of that Program is: Trebuchet.
Works a treat thanks a million!!
Thanks Silhalnor, this fixed the problem on a Note 3 using LineageOS where the auto rotation stops working after a day or so and requires the phone be rebooted.
Must be a bug in the lockscreen code that makes the orientation sensor go AWOL.
After two years i have the same issue on my Note 4 whit currently lineageos 17.1.
I have to reboot my phone to be return all works normally.
It's another lineageos bug ?!??!?!? Omg......
I’ve just got Huawei Mate 20 Pro, primarily to use the camera function for my business.
In playing around with it, I can’t find the option to turn off the Master AI within the camera settings as shown on blogs/user reviews I’ve read.
It’s just not where it is supposed to be, (under ‘capture settings’ and above ‘assistive grid’
Any pointers/thoughts?!
I really want to see the differences when this function is turned off/on
Thanks, Kate ?
While on Photo mode, go to settings (cog on upper right) and the option with a toggle should be there, pretty visible.
---> Master AI ( o)
It will not be there if you are in Pro mode or something else.
That’s it, it was to do with the mode I was in, thanks so much!
Hi,
I am asking for some advice on the following issue.
I was always using the app Mobile hidden camera on several devices few Samsungs and on the Huawei p10. It always worked great. Recording video with locked phone worked fine. Then came the new update from Android/EMUI 8 to 9. And it stopped working or it works for one minute.
Video is recorded for exactly one minute and then freezes, but the sound is recorded for the whole time of the video.
I have read many threads on the aggressive app closing of the newer Emui versions but I think this isn't the fault, because the app is still running in the background with just sound recording. Could it also have to do something with new privacy policy in adroid 9. Have read somewhere that video and sound recording would not be possible any more. I have also tested all of the power saving settings (running in background, shut power optimization off, etc.). Tried also uninstalling the Powergeenie as suggested in an onother thread.
Do someone have any similar experience?
Nice greetings!!
Forgot to add that when the app is running on top it works normal. The problem is only when the app is minimized or the screen is locked.
Maybe somebody has some other app suggestion for background video recording?
Solution
The Solution to the problem were notifications of the app. If the app doesn't give any notifications (shown in the status bar or the locked screen) the system puts it to sleep and it cant run in the background. If there are enabled notifications in the app, their appearance still can be disabled in the notifications options in the android settings.
Hello there,
I have a little problem since I have updated my mate 20 pro to EMUI 10 : In desktop mode, the mouse is simply not utilisable. Even the slightest move make the cursor go in every directions possible at near light speed. Same with a touchpad. But if I only have a screen plugged and I'm in phone mode, the cursor move like intended. Only in desktop mode show crasy moves. Someone has an idea ? Desktop mode is usefull for me but only with a keyboard and mouse plugged in...
Thanks !
I'm having the same issue. In EMUI Desktop mode, mouse is all over the place and not usable at all.
Did you find a way to fix it ?
cheers

Yes. Sadly I had to do a factory reset. Problem gone since

yes this solved a lot of my problems including the mouse speed.
Nevermind, problem just appeared again, didn't do anything particular though
EDIT : Changed "smallest width" in developper options and backed it to 360 dp solved the problem. Even if it's temporary, it's still better than a hard reset
un-tick the "switch access" in your phone. Works well for my p30 pro.
resolution problem
change ur resolution to 1080p problem will be gone
Resolution
I change the resolution on phone settings and was ok. Thank You
For me, changing the resolution solves the problem temporarily. The problem can randomly reappear even when using the desktop mode. That's really annoying. Another problem that I have is that browsing applications like Brave and Chrome stop rendering webpages when the phone screen goes off. When the screen turns back on, the rendering completes. Can anyone test and let me know if there's a solution? EMUI 10.1 latest
I'm using EMUI 11 but should be same.
Settings -> Accessibility Features -> Accessibility -> Large Mouse Pointer
After that works fine.

For me un-ticking "switch access" worked just like that. Thanks a lot, beh007.
I have a little bit of issue with floating windows on Redmi Note 10. If I disable MIUI optimisation, they don't work at all. When optimisation is enabled, I can normally use them, but always on display is limited for only 10 seconds. I've recently updated to MIUI 12.5.1 (RKGEUXM) and I thought, that it would fix the issue (the issue was already on 12.0.4). I also found out, that if you turn the optimisation on, then enable some app to floating window mode and then turn the MIUI optimisation off, then it will work, until I restart the device. Is there any way to enable both floating windows and have unlimited time for always on display and still be able to freely restart the device? Or any other way to enable unlimited always on display without turning off the optimisation? Please help.
I think You should definitely keep MIUI optimisation ON.
Not that it's a so good feature, but because it is so tightly linked to MIUI system that you will always get issues if it's disabled.
That said, you can disable Xiaomi's AOD and use one of the playstore apps that provides permanent AOD. Always on AMOLED could possibly be what you need

That's actually genius...
Same problem and I'm afraid there is no way but turning MIUI optimisation on.
For anyone still trying to fix the issue without enabling miui optimization: go to the developer options, scroll down to app section and enable "Any form of application window" or something like that. Fixed the issue for me

Thank you very much. It's work on Redmi Note 10 T 5G while optimization OFF and Enable free form windows ON.
