Hi all,
Today I found something really weird on my Android powered phone (Galaxy Note + CM 10.1) - on my external sd card is hidden folder ".faces" in which i found a lot of (really, A LOT OF, approximately 4 thousands) files with no extensions (I mean, only simple file names - for example "346"). When I tried to open it, I figured out that these file was an image, more precisely a part of my private photos taken with my phone. Really, it's very strange for me - why I have folder with ~4k photos of faces cut out from my PRIVATE photo albums? For what? I mean, it's just sick... Why android (Google...) does something like this?
any answers?
Any answers on this?

Certain apps will keep data on the SD card in cases where a kit of room is needed. The period in front denotes a hidden folder. In my case, I have an ".aptoide" and a ".nogapps" folder for those respective apps. If I had to guess, ".face" folder is keeping data from your camera, which may be set up to use facial detection to focus. Try turning off facial detection, delete that folder and take a few photos with people in them. See if the faces show in that folder again.
I was in a trip, and I took a lot of photos and videos. I get home, upload the to google drive to be able to share them, and I see that a nice video has been created. I search about this option (cool feature), I wanted to edit the video that was created but I see that it is compatible with only a bunch of devices. Expand supported devices.
I killed the google by trying to bypass this "device compatibility", but no results.
What I have tried:
-Downloading an early version of Google Photos (as a result from reading from this )
-Renaming build.prop file to be like Samsung S6 How_to_here
-Installing some "wonder apps" this_one
None worked.
Feel free to try 'em too.
I mention that my phones hardware will surely support video processing (chinese/indian stuff Gionee Elife E7)
So, my question is: how to make that option (video creating & editing in Google photos) available from other phones, excluding the compatibility list.
Cheers!
Hey everyone, just got my watch and so far its great but im pretty confused as to a few things.
My goal is to have a watch face that changes backgrounds with a selected folder of pictures, thats pretty much it.
There is a stock watch face called photos that does this but they are all landscape default photos, I want to change that but I can not find anything out on this watch face. Cant even find it searching the stock faces that come with android wear and there are no settings for the face on the phone/watch. Im sure its pulling the photos from the storage on the watch, so does anyone know how I can place my photos onto the watch in that folder (there are a LOT of photos).
I know there are a few apps out there that let you create your own watch face but I havent been able to find any with the function of automatically changing the background. Does anyone know of any apps that change the background at set preset amounts of times?
You would think this wouldnt be a hard thing to do but I cant find it or access the phones 4gb storage. Would this be a better question in the general android wear forum?
So I have asked this in the Asus Zenwatch 2 forum to with no answers.

RE: Google Photos
I recently got a new budget phone, which I actually like considering the very little $ it cost. It's been flawless except one problem which makes it impossible for me to find any photos. The phone is a Umidigo Power running stock Android 9. The one and only app that is doing what I am about to show is VideoShow which I use frequently and want to keep.
The phone is pulling every single folder which contains a graphic file (hundreds of folders and thousands of thumbnails) and putting them in Google Photos be making it impossible to find my own stuff. I have emailed both phone maker & app maker with no success. Attached is a screenshot of a small percentage of what's showing up.
