Checking Find Device Status Infinite Loop - Xiaomi Redmi 3 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone.
1 - After my xiaomi redmi 3 was in bootloop I flashed it with v8.0.2.0.LAIMIDG.
2 - At the first boot, when I had to sign in to my Mi Account, the phone started saying "Checking Find device status...", without letting me even try to sign in. I tried to wait but nothing change, it continues checking.
3 - So i tried to flash the phone again but it doesn't work now: with every image version and every MiFlash version I try in MiFlash says [error:"Flash tz error"]. I've seen that this probably happens because my bootloader is still locked.
4 - So I tried to unlock it with the standard procedure with MiFlashUnlock, and after all the procedure I received the message, but when I try to unlock it says: "Couldn't verify device, current account is different from the account info on the device". So I've seen that this is because I can't login into my account in the phone (see section 2).
5 - I noticed that I'm able to access the apps and the settings of the phone even if I'm in the mi account login screen (see section 2) holding the center button and going to google now and searching for settings or app names. I tried from the settings to reset the phone but it doesn't allow me since I'm not logged, I also tried to update the phone with the update app, but it doesn't let me.
How can I wipe my phone or do something to fix the problem?

[Advice/Tip's] Unlocking BL/Flashing recovery/1rst custom ROM [Redmi 3S]

From my hard time unlocking Bootloader and flashing recovery until first custom ROM of 3s, I'll share some advice
- If stuck on 50% at BL unlock, >use chinese dev rom (I used this: "land_images_V7.5.1.0.MALCNDE_20160629.0000.25_6.0_cn">MiFlash has different names but it's all the same program, and if you wanna flash something, you have to run the .bat of the extracted ROM first! >And then start the MiFlash Prog. >sign into your MI account at the dev rom in your phone >activate 'find device' and all other account options there which you can tick there at login >stop account sync of the rom and start it again >go to i.miui.com and sign in >RETRY
Custom Recovery & custom ROM
- Flashing the Chinese TWRP will cause bootloop to the dev rom ! And you likely cannot boot into recovery by just a button combo, so just reboot the recovery >using recovery< once, after you had confirmed to make changes on system (at startup of recovery) >> And keep your ROM plus Gapps on your SDCARD as you cannot access the recovery easily, if not by >fastboot reflash< or working ROM (using 'reboot recovery' in it, later) ! Do not flash Gapps after you booted the ROM already, as this will cause Gapps to fail!
Enjoy~

Is it mandatory to use china dev ROM? I am on global dev. Checked the ROM zip, it contain recovery img. Its just inaccessible due to locked bootloader.

you must use this exact rom, at least this was the one i was using. and there is a guide where it says how to flash it with miflash but i lost the link. "land_images_V7.5.1.0.MALCNDE_20160629.0000.25_6.0_cn_e5777810ad" from en.miui.com
and yes, afaik you do have to flash this rom with miflash that's mandatory. chinese dev rom is must.
HOnest Solution...
Honest Solution..
If you got Permission for unlocking just wait for 6 to 10 days after getting the permission..
No matter which rom u are on..
You will unlock successfully.. Just follow the process of i.mi.com.
Well i was also facing the same issue, what really helped me here is,
1. Removed MI Account after getting unlocking permissions,
2. Re-Added MI Account by using the mobile no. (Logging in using Mobile no. is mandatory)
3. Located the phone from i.mi.com (find device option)
4. Switched off the phone and booted into fastboot mode.
5. Opened MI Unlock and logged in here from Mobile No. and unlocked.
Got success.

Sad to hear, try starting the unlock app and go offline with ur computer, and tell me if this works. this is trick of a friend
Ill try thanks
unlocked boot loader successfully . I got code week ago and i had same problem stopped at 50%.
Finally i decided to install Chinese developer rom but for last time i thought let me try unlocking again with global rom. Fortunately it was a success.
Suggestion:
- allow unlock bootloader option in developer setting.
-when ever u try unlocking.Try login with phone number ,email id and mi account code.(three try every day)
-do the same with three acc in i.mi.com(locate your phone.)
-remove finger print security.(remove security)
-And have some patients. It will get unlocked when xiomi update their database.
-i got two different codes with my email id and phone no. I don't know why i have only one account in mi.com.But if it shows u"u need to apply for unlock code "again then get it.
really frustating.
I was really surprised that I got the permission for unlocking the bootloader just 30 min after applying for request. But got stuck at 50%. Tried all solutions. I'm getting that "Current account is different from the account info on the device". Somebody please help. It's already two weeks since I got the permission. Also tried internet on/off method but no use.

1. Try removing other devices from your Mi Account for the moment, add them later if you want.
2. It takes a week or so to update your information on the Indian Xiaomi servers.
3. Make sure you're using the same account in which you got the permissions to unlock and the same account is logged-in in your Mi Account app.
4. Enable Developer options and tick "Allow OEM unlock"
Personally, I waited for 6 days after getting permissions. I was also getting stuck at 50% with a few error messages but after waiting, the unlock was successful.
I had tried a lot of things that included, switching internet on/off, factory resetting MIUI, trying multiple times, reinstalling drivers, maybe I flashed the fastboot ROM too, a few times. But after all of that, few guys suggested me to wait for a week or so, so that my device's information may be updated with my account, I did that and got it unlocked after a couple of days without any problem.

It's been 14 days since I got permission. I'm not able to flash a fastboot rom because my phone is not entering to EDL mode(It's just booting to android instead). However
"I'll try again"

Problem unlocking bootloader

Hi everyone,
I'm having a lot of trouble getting my bootloader unlocked and I've tried literally everything. It stops at 50% when verifying and says "Current account is different from the account info on the device". My device is a Redmi Note 3 Special Edition aka 'kate'. I bought the phone from HonorBuy. Here's a screenshot: http://server.florens.be/Screenshot_2017-01-25-18-31-37-155_com.android.settings[1].png
Here's a list of what I've tried:
Removing driver signature check (using the commands)
Reflashing the latest dev version of MIUI (downloaded with my PC, just to be sure)
Waiting 7 days (At the moment it's 9 days since I received the SMS)
Enabling Enable OEM Unlock and USB debugging in developer settings
Going to http://i.mi.com (more on that later)
Loging in with my phone number/UID on the unlock tool and phone
Removing all security (fingerprint password, PIN, patern lock and even app lock)
Install ADB from the troubleshooting section in this subreddits wiki (it said it was already installed)
Install drivers with XiaoMiFlash (and reinstalling them from within the tool)
Completing the security check-up on http://i.mi.com > Account
Using a different PC (kind of: I used a VM and it gave a different error, also on 50%, will try a real different PC ASAP)
Redownloading the unlock tool
Enableing find device
Running MiFlashUnlock.exe as adminstrator
Flashing latest stable version of MIUI, including a neccesary wipe
And yes: turning it off and on again
Here's a list of odd things I found out (if you hadn't noticed yet, I like lists):
When I go to Developer options > Mi Unlock status and click Add account and device after a short while it says "Couldn't verify, wait a minute or two and try again"
When I go to http://i.mi.com and go to Find device it is off by a couple 100 meters and it has never changed (haven't tested at school yet, only at home)
It's located when it's off and the date and time is right and it also shows as 'online' in 'connected devices'.
MiPCSuite says "Connect your device via USB" when I connect it then a bit later "You need to update your device to use Mi PC Suite, Update your device before connecting".
When I go to the MIUI forum and go to settings the MIUI version and device is not automatically filled in (which people on the forum say, is part of the problem)
Any help is greatly appreciated. If I missed anything I'll at it to the list.
Same phone, same store, same problem..
Previously, I had a Kenzo successfully unlocked. I used the same account to log-in.

Couldn't check Finde device status???????

Hi everyone.
1 - After my xiaomi redmi 3 Note Pro was in bootloop I flashed it with MIUI Global 8.1/ Stable 8.1.1.0
2 - At the first boot, when I had to sign in to my Mi Account, the phone started saying "Checking Find device status...", without letting me even try to sign in.
Pls help
Got same issue with my RN3Pro Kate, is there any solution?

Xiaomi Mi8 Bricked after locking bootloader

Hello. I have a problem. I have Xiaomi Mi8, which was sent back on a warranty, because it just didn't powered on one day. It was sent from PL to China, they sent it back after a month and from this time I had some issues. The phone came back with unlocked bootloader. I couldn't use Google Pay to use contactless payment, couldn't install Netflix for example, and other general problems caused by unlocked bootloader appeared.
Today I wanted to change that, so I entered fastboot mode, connected phone to PC, and entered "fastboot oem lock". It said OKAY, finished, but then phone was stuck in a bootloop.
In recovery, it says that "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device". Wiping data doesn't help.
I wanted to re-flash it with Global ROM, but Mi Flash says "Error: FAILED (remote: Erase is not allowed in Lock State)"
I wanted to unlock it using Mi-Unlock but this fails also. It ends with "Current account is not bound to this device. Add your account and device in MIUI's Settings Developer options Mi Unlock status" message.
I cannot enter settings because phone will not boot up. I read about authenticating with account_auth.exe on c mi com/thread-2173190-1-0.html (remove spaces, sorry but I cannot post links yet). I logged in, but then instead of "Unauthorized Xiaomi account" I have "Request failed" message and I cannot click "Apply Bind".
I'm running out of ideas. Phone will not boot, it can't be flashed, what else can I do other than replacing main board? Please help.
I had the same problem with Redmi Note 7 pro I have changed from china version to India version but I had some security issues with some app as the Bootloader was open since I flashed India version I did as you did from cmd I loced the Bootloader so the MIUI was blocked and phone was bricked I had to use boxes software then go back to china version again then setup new mi account with new E mail and different SIM then I was able to flash new global indian version of MIUI 12.5 but unfortunately I lost my IMEI 1 but lucklly had saved my Data on Google account ,so you should use boxes software to use your phone again!

Working but unusable Redmi 3

Dear community,
you are my last resort to help me in this situation...
I have Redmi 3 which I last used 2 years ago. In that time It was associated with my Mi account. Today this account doesn't exist anymore - don't ask me why, I don't know.
I factory resetted it. Now, when it starts, it asks me for Mi credentials and doesn't let me access other phone options (settings, apps, etc.) I enter my old credentials, but of course it doesn't recognize them (account does not exist / username-password is invalid). This leaves me with unusable phone.
I tried many things:
- wrote to Xiaomi support, but they refuse to help me. They redirect me to local support or to my seller (which doesn't exist anymore).
- I flashed with brand new clean MIUI rom. I can use phone normally until I put it online. It instantly locks the phone and asks for Mi credentials.
- tried installing other OS (such as Lineage), but can't do that, because I need TWRP. To install TWRP, I need to unlock bootloader. Unfortunately I didn't unlock bootloader when I could do (2 years ago). If I try to unlock it now, my username doesn't get recognized.
-- I tried creating new Mi account to associate to my Redmi 3. Association requires internet connection which instantly locks the phone.
-- I also tried installing TWRP as it shown in this youtube video: watch?v=quNAkht1Lwc [can't publish link, I'm new user] Procedure puts my phone in looped boot process.
- I tried flashing this custom Xiaomi EU ROM but can't even flash it (instructions are at xiaomifirmware site guides-and-tips/twrp-custom-rom-locked-bootloader-redmi-3s/ [can't publish link - I'm new user])
I probably tried some other options, but can't remember them now and I'm literally exhausted!
So, in brief:
- my phone has locked bootloader
- Mi account associated with phone doesn't exist
What else can I try? Let me know if you need additional info.
Sorry for the late reply.
Have you tried to boot into fastboot mode and
- fastboot oem unlock, to unlock bootloader?
If you can unlock bootloader, try flashing a recovery. That will give you more space of maneuver.
