Screen on time - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm only getting around 2 hours of screen on time with this phone.
VS990 running marshmallow, no root, screen at 50% brightness all the time.
How do I get more screen on time?

1st charge.. no tweaking .. battery !!

Awesome first charge.. plugged in Friday when I got it and just now 38 hours later I'm plugging it in. 4.5 hours of screen on at 85 percent brightness.. here and there browsing.. some photos.. gps enabled turn by turn a couple times.. SIRIUSXM for 4 hours at least.. fell asleep both Friday and Saturday night listening to Art Bell.. so at least 4 hours. Outlook checking mail every couple hours. Tested a few games for probably a total of an hour maybe. This is about average use for me. I would say this bests my note2 and that's a lot to say. Will it get better after a few more cycles? This phone is a keeper... loving the knock on/off feature and I'm getting really used to the buttons on the back.
Good stuff man....lower that brightness a little and turn on autobrightness and you'd be getting even better battery life. Doesnt the constant 85% hurt your eyes?
That's awesome. Battery life was a big reason I picked up this phone, and it has yet to disappoint. I'm on Verizon, so probably couldn't get the Nexus 5, but even if I could I'd probably go with the G2 for the battery. I like a nice bright screen as well
I took the attached a couple if days ago. GPS off, mobile location on, 65% brightness baseline with auto on. Mostly web browsing, with about an hour of talk time, and 3 hours of audio playing via Bluetooth. The battery really is fantastic.
However, there is something that can get stuck and prevent deep sleep causing excessive idle drain. Its happened to me twice now. A reboot clears it up, but I haven't tracked down the culprit yet to prevent it entirely.
Anyhoo, pics below.

Ive found 3 culprits for idle drain thus far:
*backup* - disable backup/ restore in global settings
Nlpwakelock - disable wifi/cell gps assist in global settings, and history anf reporting in Maps
CarrierIQ - disable it as per instructed in the carrier IQ thread

This was from my third charge. Gets better every charge. Basically full stock only debloated.

pretty insane results.. looks like it only gets better! On my second charge now.. still showing 100 percent after a few hours.. very little use though.

I found it takes a lot to get thought that first one percent. I had the screen on for 45 minutes before I dropped to 99% the other day. I'm starting to think there is something up with the battery gauge.

G2's battery life is very awesome...I got 6 hrs around screen on time for stock rom.
I believe if we get more tweaks, rom in future, it will get even better!

No... You're just using an awesome phone!
Yea the battery seems great when you don't touch the device but try playing a game for a little bit . Candy crush crushes ( ? ) my battery to hell.

Ultra Power Saving Mode problems

So I've just got my GS6 Edge (SM-G925F) today, and I wanted to try out UPSM and I noticed severer odd things.
First of all was the Estimated usage time remaining, I had 23h at 98% while they claimed 2 days at 10% on their Ad. I don't think this is normal and dont know weather its a hardware o software problem.
the second thing was switching between the UPSM and normal mode, it takes way longer than it does on an S5 o Note4, and almost always gives me this message ( configuring device. Please wait 0/100), it usually takes about 1-3 minutes until I can actually switch back to normal mode, Is anybody else having these problems? I wanted to discuss about whats going on
It says 23 hours of usage time, standby is something close to 2 weeks. On the s5 it displayed the standby time, the s6 and Edge it displays the usage time you have left. And I'm not sure why it takes longer to activate or turn off, but I've had 3 different Edges and they've all taken that long so I'm pretty sure it's the same for every one.

S4 major battery drain

Hi so I have an S4 and the battery has been fine for months but all of a sudden it hardly will last through a regular day. It loses around 5% an hour with the screen off and 1% a minute with the screen on. I get around 45 minutes of screen on time a day which seems terrible. The main thing that is using it it android kernel and android OS. Any fix's? I am rooted and running 5.0.1 and have never changed the kernel. (At least not on purpose) any help is nice.

Second Screen Really Power Efficient?

Is LG's claim of 5% per day drain if the second screen is left on all day true? Recently just discovered that there is no more notification light as it was replaced by the second screen for notifications.
I have been using the second screen for one whole day and then today all day without it and didn't even notice a difference a difference in battery drain or gain in both days comparison. Used my v10 like normal and nothing less.
The banner has a separate LED when the main screen is off.
Moreover, it uses proximity sensor to turn on/off the banner.

Strange drain after cracking screen

Hello fellow Z5 Compact owners,
I am having a weird battery drain after cracking my screen on 26/9/2016 (and rendering the bottom half of my screen useless in the process).
I left the phone alone (turned off) for some time as I was looking for a screen replacement, but about a month later I downloaded an app called "Set Orientation" which let me use full rotation, including reverse portrait mode. Since that time my phone's battery has become much worse when idle (it wasn't much better before -- around 3%/hr, and 1,6%/hr with OM5Z kernel). It started losing around 8-10 percent every hour on .253 firmware (6.0.1 MM) and also getting hot if left alone for too long. The drain was less on Nougat (about 5-6%/hr) and now the famous Xpower patched kernel again on .253 (about the same, maybe 0.5-1% less sometimes).
My question is -- what is the cause of my drain? The cracked screen, the orientation app (it has been replaced by Rotation Control for per-app control btw), or something else? I have eliminated most partial wakelocks, kernel wakelocks are practically nonexistent on this kernel, I use Powernap and Amplify to block alarms/wakelocks. The phone sleeps normally, although Android System CPU time is around 1-1,5 hours per charge (background).
To clarify, I think it may be the Rotation app because my Android System sensor usage is very high - around 2-3 hours every charge. An average charge lasts around 11 hours for me, with 2 hours avg SOT (not a very heavy user).
I'm running 32.2.A.0.253 firmware with rooted/patched Xpower5 kernel.
If you need any info, please tell me and I will provide.
