Ever since I got this phone my voicemail unset itself up. Still had the same sim card with all my other phones and they all had voicemail's. Anyone know how to set it up again?

Hi
I just bought a Galaxy S II and as soon as I put my Canadian Fido sim card
the voicemail notification appeared.
I tried different things but it does not want to go away.
I left a message to myself and then I listened it from my S II, I deleted it
and I press # to hung up but again nothing.
I removed my sim card and I inserted it again but nothing.
I erased everything on the phone and I set it up from scratch again nothing.
Finally I called Fido and I told them to reset my voicemail which they did
but again nothing.
As soon as I put my sim card to my motorola Atrix or my nexus one I dont get the voicemail indicator.
Has anyone faced this problem?
How do I remove the voicemail indicatior
Thanks
Simple answer: You can't.
You can turn the sound off of the notification but it's something sent from the carrier usually. Have you tried another SIM in the phone to see if it still stays there?
If not I'd say the first port of call -- as always -- is a factory reset.
I would have agreed with you but if my carrier where in this case Fido
keeps sending me the voicemail notification dont you think
I would have the notification to my motorola Atrix or Nexus one?
Also I called them up and they reset my voicemail
I did try a factory reset twice
I recently have this weird problem.
There is one of my business contact phone number. If I dialed her number, my phone got disconnected from the network, then force close the phone window will pop up, then a message saying my SIM card got removed. Or, if not all those error messages pop up, the phone will just stay as black screen and have to restart the phone.
If I call the other numbers, everything is fine. If I use the other ppl's phone to call her, it is fine as well. I have to call her at this number. It really annoyed me. Any help is much appreciated!
I am running on stock rom, Froyo, never rooted before, Telus Fascinate 3G.
I received a replacement Atrix today and for some reason, it is sending callers directly to voicemail. I only know that they called if they leave a voicemail. I can't seem to figure out how to change it.

You need to go back to your service provider and have them check your phone and SIM card. This usually happens when the system cannot "find" your device on the network meaning something isn't connecting correctly. It's the same thing that happens if your phone is turned off. Network sends out a signal to see if your phone is there, gets no response, sends straight to VM.
Alright, thanks. The weird thing is the phone works fine when I call out. Only problem is when people call me. They sent me the phone with a new SIM, but it didn't work so I put my old SIM in which I'm thinking might be the problem. I'll run up there tomorrow and bring both SIMs to be sure.
settings - call settings - Call forwarding. Make sure Always Forward is disabled.
Just figured I would through this out there since I could not find the answer and had came up with a solution
With an Straight Talk (AT&T) SIM card you can do CCF (conditional call forwarding) on a Droid DNA but not with the phone itself. If you try using the code **004*1YOURGMAILNUMBER# you get an error. If you install the Google Voice app it looks as if it changes your number and sets it up correctly, but when you call your number you still get the carrier voicemail. The same thing happens with the Youmail app.
The way I got around it was by using an actual AT&T phone (I would assume an full GSM phone would work as well) and entered the **004*1YOURGMAILNUMBER#. Just swap your SIM, enter the code, swap your SIM back and all done. I did verify CCF before swapping the SIM back to the DNA, and after.
Hope this helps someone else!!
I have a US AT&T hox+, and I used to forward calls when I used this as my primary cell.
Now I don't have a sim card, and it won't let me disable call forwarding (I guess it needs to 'phone home' with the AT&T servers).
Is there any way to disable this?
FWIW, the phone is unlocked and rooted and has TWRP.
