I have been using remix os for months now everything is perfect for my needs.
i am running the latest remix os and have the latest instagram app installed
but photo uploads no longer work, when you try to post a photo on instagram the app just closes
please fix guys
@logicuk
1. In Start menu/app drawer right click on the Instagram app and select App details.
2. Go to permissions and make sure Storage permission is enabled.
hello @Vioner i have done this and its still not working
hello @Vioner some help please?
Have you tried re-installing the app?
I don't use Instagram app so I'm not sure how it works. You mean you can't upload already taken pictures? Or does it crash when it's supposed to start the camera?
Anyway, I recommend reading the website below and reporting problems there with proper log files
Page: https://github.com/JideTechnology/Remix-OS-For-PC/wiki
@Vioner the app crashes/closes when you try to post a photo to instagram
@logicuk need logs for that - check link above.
hello @Vioner here is the log file you requested
thanks
@logicuk Sorry, but I meant I wanted you to post issues on the Github page. I'll check the file when I have a moment.
UPDATE: @logicuk
Can you please write step by step what you do/what appears on screen while you're trying to upload? Tap/Click-by-Tap/Click.
Which app did you use to select the file to uplaod?
I'm confused and maybe I'm wrong, but are you trying to upload from Facebook app to Instagram?
Just something that the log says.
Or maybe trying to upload to instagram + share on Facebook.... Other scenario is that maybe you had Facebook app open when dropping the logcat.
Sorry I'm not experienced in analyzing these logs - that's one of the reasons why I advised to report there: https://github.com/JideTechnology/Remix-OS-For-PC/issues following the Guidelines: https://github.com/JideTechnology/Remix-OS-For-PC/wiki
hello @Vioner any updates please?
You didn't reply to my last post, so no progress.
hello @Vioner i have posted the issue here

Hi guys, I need to learn how to add a normal pop up on my apps first opening that will display a changelog and a small license.
Currently my app is set to work on devices running GB-JB.

You could go to see some tutorials on youtube or web about your problem.
About this, you could create again the app and maybe will be better than the old one.
EDIT: When there was no reply here after a day (and this post was pushed to the fifth page), i posted a similar quesiton to another forum, and later posted a solution there. If someone wants to delete this post, that's fine with me.

Hello,
I'm looking for TeamViewer's QuickSupport (QS) Add-on for HTC devices. Unforunately I can't access Google Play to download it (to see it for yourself, look for com.teamviewer.quicksupport.addon.htc)
Does anyone know where else I can find it, EDIT: from a reliable source, not a random site that might have repackaged it; or
Or, could someone who has the APK file tell me who signed theirs, and then I can determine if the copy I downloaded from a shady site is legitimate
Or, someone with the APK file could post its size in bytes
Or, does anyone know if the Samsung version will work on HTC phones? I can get the Samsung version directly from TeamViewer's website (but not the HTC version).
For those wondering what exactly this is: I have the main TeamViewer QuickSupport app installed. It does not include screen-sharing; to do that, I need the add-on.
Many thanks in advance!
EDIT:
This tweet from TeamViewer support, dated a few weeks ago, says the addon is not available in the U.S. Has anyone managed to get ahold of it? (I can't post links yet, so copy the following and append it to twitter.com:

EDIT2:
TeamViewer tech support, responding to an email I sent, says the addon is available only in Europe.
Sorry if it is in wrong section but...

I would recommend checking out the first step of this guide here on compiling AOSP that deals with setting up JDK specifically it recommends using Open JDK 7 instead. Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance in solving your problem.
Okay thanks a lot, I have managed to do it yesterday but now I'm stuck with compiling, it gives me an error when I try to build it, some conflicts in libnfc-nci, trying to cherry-pick some needed fixes also succeed in error, I'll do a screenshot when I come back from school but again, many thanks
Regards
Okay, now when I try to compile I have some errors, when I do repo sync it tells me at the end that some files need to be merged, like in pic 1. When I try to compile it gives me an error that a separator is missing in a file, like in pic 2. And when i try to cherry-pick the fixes (as in pic 3) it throws me another error, as in pic 4. My main question is: how could I merge files and what is it? Thanks in advance!
