I hate that the article says to "Start tapping that check for updates button." Google dismissed that a long time ago.

This is old article (2nd of Dec).. Also the OTA roll started for Android one device and not for Nexus/Pixel phones, However we are expecting 7.1.1 by this week.

But the hints dropped by Vodafone Australia said that the roll out will start from December 6th. Also 2nd December was just a couple of days back

as of right now, the latest update shows "7.1.1 (NMF26F, Dec 2016. All carriers except Verizon)".
since i'm on verizon, should i hold off on flashing this? anybody on verizon try flashing this?

Only Verizon holds up **** like this. I'm on Verizon too and this pisses me off. It's bad enough I can't get wifi calling on their system.

Fault Google... not Verizon.. Every Carrier wants to do their **** with controlling the OS on devices used on their carrier. Google doesn't have the balls like Apple to tell Verizon to GTFO. The whole point of Nexus is to circumvent carriers and get updates directly from Google.

To be fair wifi calling was never going to work on VZW for the 6P because they never officially supported the phone.
