No Contacts found, and Can't make calls - Asus ZenWatch 2

Hi,
Had a ZenWatch and recently bought a ZenWatch 2. I was trying to make calls through the watch but could not. So, I unpaired the watch, which factory resets it and uninstalled Android Wear and ZenWatch Manager. Reinstalled everything and synchronized. Now I have a additional problem other than the previous one. When I go to the contacts screen it says "No Contacts found. Add contacts to the Contacts App" and I had contacts showing before I unpaired the watch. I checked the Bluetooth Settings, both Phone Audio and Contact sharing is ON for the watch. I have given all the permissions in the watch for all the apps. Also I have enabled Phone Audio in the bluetooth settings in the watch. When I make a call (by manually entering the phone no) the call opens on the phone and audio is directed to the phone.
Watch;
Watch Android wear 1.5.0.3364142
Google Play Services 10.0.84
watch OS 6.0.1 Build M6E69S
Phone;
Nexus 6P
Android 7.0
Build NBD91K

I've resolved by giving all access rights to Android Wear in the phone. Initially it did not work, but started after multiple reboots.

Same problem!
I am having the same problem. I got my watch a week ago, and have not been able to make calls with it at all. I did the Unpair, and now my contacts are not found. How do you give all access rights to Android Wear in the phone, because I think I've done that, but I'm not completely sure.
Thank you!!

[Q] Not receiving Hangouts notifications nor calls

Hey guys, about two weeks ago I was wondering why my mom hadn't called (we use Hangouts) and I thought it was weird. It was only until she called my cell phone that I realized that Hangouts wasn't working at all (even though it was open in the background).
I always used to get the call sound and the notification tray flashed saying that I was getting a video call. Same thing for messages (not SMS), even if I hadn't opened Hangouts all day at all, I would still receive SMS and video call invites. I accidentally Greenified Google Voice (since you can't Greenify Hangouts) and I thought that might be the culprit, so I degreenified it, and restarted my phone. That didn't work. I also Disabled a whole bunch of useless apks (or so I thought) with NoBloat and I'm pretty sure it was around this time that Hangouts stopped working and incidentally also any alarm app that I tried to use (I have to use stock alarm now). I re-enabled all of the disabled apks, and restarted my phone once again. This also did not work.
I have also posted on the official Google Hangouts Help forum about this issue, but I'm pretty sure they're just going to tell me that Hangouts just suddenly **** itself because I'm not on 4.4 and probably because I'm rooted. I have gone back on any changes I made that might have caused this issue. Google Voice is not greenified anymore, and I don't have ANY apks disabled at all. I even turned ChatOn back on thinking that maybe that was why.
Here is a list of things that I have already done that I have found on other forums:
Clear cache of Hangouts and Google Voice
Make sure Show Notifications is checked (it is).
I have uninstalled Hangouts updates, and reinstalled them.
I have restarted my phone numerous times.
I've shut off my laptop, tablets, and desktop so it would HAVE to go through my phone. It didn't.
"Whitelisted" Google Voice and Hangouts on any application that could possibly be closing it.
I have a SG S3 SGH-T999 T-Mobile (Unlocked) with baseband version T999UVUENC2. I don't remember how exactly I rooted my phone but I just know it's rooted. I'm on 4.3 and I have been for ages. It kind of feels like, even if I physically open Hangouts it's hard for any application to recognize that's it's running in the background, and in fact, some applications don't recognize it at all even if I just opened the application.
I don't know what's wrong, does anyone have a similar problem?
Wrong forum this is for the i9300 only, but you've broken your firmware by disabling system components. Reflash your firmware then factory reset, don't use any guides or files from this forum.

Add contacts, standalone mode and other stuff

Hi, I need a little help. A friend of a friend ( so a person who I don't know ) asks me to add contacts in hers Gear S. At first I thought that she hadn't configured the watch, because she only has an iPhone and not a Samsung Phone. So, I wanted to activate the standalone mode ( 30 taps or something like that ) but when I have turn on the device, it was already configured. The device has a SIM card, so I tried to make a phone call, and it works. I can even see the phone calls log history ( I have read that it doesn't works on standalone watch, correct me if I am wrong ) so I am thinking It may have been paired with a Samsung phone... anyway, what can I do?
If I add contacts to the SIM, they can be read by the watch ( I googled and it seems not, but i want a confermation )?
I haven't a Samsung phone, but I have a rooted Nexus 5. If I follow a guide that allow me to pair my phone with the Gear S, can I add contacts? And then can I "un-pair" the devices so she can use the watch or something like that?
Sorry for these noob questions but I haven't be able to find good information online. I am a pretty expert Android phone user, but I know nothing about Tizen or smartwatch.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english, unfortunately it isn't my first language and I usually write only short message.

If there's contacts and other data already on her Gear S it was probably initially configured and paired to a Samsung device and that was the source of the data. The contact app on the Gear gets its feed from Samsung's contacts app on the host device. There's no way to add contacts individually in the Gear contacts app. Call logs are imported from the host device also. Call and texts made in stand-alone mode get added in the Gear's logs but don't transfer back to the phone. I can't answer the SIM contacts question because I don't store contacts there. The Gear S really isn't designed to be a "stand-alone" device as much as it is a "remote alternative" to always having to carry your Samsung phone around. People have gotten non-Samsung phones to work but a lot of key functionality ends up missing. Like being able to compose and manage e-mails and texts on the Gear which require the companion Samsung apps on the host device as their source.

Bip & iOS notification frustration X(

I’ve done all the things I can find suggested and I’m still not getting notifications. I have
-shut off and restarted Bluetooth
-unpaired and repaired the watch to MiFit
-restarted phone and watch
-uninstalled and reinstalled MiFit
-factory reset watch, unpaired, uninstalled app, restarted phone, reinstalled app, repaired watch.
-Turned on all notifications, turned on all “in history” on iOS notifications.
The only notification I get consistently is incoming call,. I’ve gone back and set all the iOS notifications to the same as those, still nothing to bip.
All I want, is my calendar notifications. That’s it! Everything else is great with the watch function but this is driving me crazy!
I’m running the latest version of MiFit (3.3.1), firmware version 0.1.1.14 and iOS 11.2.
Please help me!!!
Can you test your phone with another smartband? (miband, amazfit cor etc) To check if your phone or your watch is the problem!
I don’t have any more smart watches in my household :crying:

[Question] Getting rid of dual call notification

Hello,
I'm facing a problem that I can't seem to solve,
I've installed WatchDroid and it works very well, but I still get call notifications from the Amazfit app no matter what i do (I tried disabling notification access, phone access...).
The only solution I found is to completely close Amazfit app, but I'd like it to stay in background for sport / hearth sync
My watch is INT version A1612, rom 1.3.6d STOCKified, Amazfit app from playstore.
Thanks
Sync Amazfit app with watch to make sure your data is saved to the cloud, then erase app data in phone settings or uninstall then re-install it. When you open it again, don't give it permissions and it should work.
Just uninstalled it, but now when login, it says : login impossible : null
Hope it's a temporary server problem lol
EDIT: OK, was a router problem. But still having dual notifications
You have uninstalled then installed Amazfit app, not giving it permissions and it still gives you notifications? Are you sure one of the notifications is from Amazfit app and not both from WatchDroid?
Yes, positively sure, watchdroid shows the contact picture
I think the Amazfit app is hard-coded to watch for call and transfer them to the watch, for the moment i'll kill Amazfit app everytime
But it is very strange because if you have denied the app permission for phone., etc and to notifications then it should be not possible for it to know when there is call... Unless it's hacking the system somehow...
Maybe it's because I'm using a Xiaomi phone running Miui ?
I think I found a workaround,
Turning on silent mode on the watch seems to block Amazfit app notifications, but not WatchDroid ones...
Nice. It seems that it also happens with other phones too, a Galaxy S6 user reported the same issue on a FB group. Probably Amazfit app relies on some other method to always get the call notifications (you did revoke app permissions to SMS and Phone in phone's App settings, right?).
I've revoked it in app setting, and also tried blocking all phone access with appops without success.
The downside of silent mode is that there's no more vibration on WatchDroid notifications

Notifications problems (Verge)

Hi, there. I changed my smartphone into new one with PIE operating system. Problem is that I can't get SMS notifications to my Amazfit Verge. With old smartphone with Marshmallow everything was fine. From some apps like sports apps I getting notifications about games starting, but from Amazfit app - I don't. Incoming calls I getting, others like Google Mail notifications, calendar's and ect. I did not tested yet. I checked in settings permissions, but in SMS there is no Amazfit app listed, in others sections like Contact, calls and ect., Amazfit is listed. When I activating in smartphone "do not disturb" mode - SMS notification I getting. But when this mode is deactivated - no. Strange problem. I don't know what to do, now is weekand so I can't ask about Amazfit or phone manufacturer about this problem. Why Amazfti app is not listed in SMS permission section? Any idea? Somebody have this problem too or can advise how to fix? SMS is one of important notifications for me, it's the same important as to get incoming calls. Thanks in advance for any help. By the way: Amazfit is already updated into newest version (if i'm not wrong 3.4.4) and Amazfit Verge is updated into newest version (if I remember right 3.2.5.0), smartphone operating system is updated too into newest version. I tried some things to do. But if say honest I couldn't find there is problem (I mean why in permission isn't Amazfit listed) and why SMS notification working only when is "do not disturb" activated. Thanks in advance any solution is welcome, but keep in my I need solution, even if someone have or had this problem.
