So – how to get it? Maybe I should use specific kernels, maybe specific apps... Now I'm on CM14.1 with Radon kernel – it is super crap. Won't initialize from time to time, quality is awful...
Hello guys, devs!
Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon), (kenzo)
Testing the roms: only a clean install, stock kernel, disable all unusefull display stuff (more contrast, rotation etc), and only install the vr player app.
So the problem is shortly: the VR video files quality is not sharp, blurred a bit when using hardware encoding . I'm using Var's VR player for this, but dosn't need it, just is the simpliest and the best at the moment. The good image quality what only in some rom looks like, when we disable the hardware encoding. Contact with the developers, so not an app problem.
On my device a lot of Marshmallow based roms hase encoding wrong this videos. Playing well, but if anyone used a good rom for this, all others crappy.
On the official MIUI roms only the Lollipop based roms working good (the developer MIUI 8 based roms not).
Tested a lot of roms release by release, in the Marshmallow based roms only one Krexus AOSP rom port playing well these.
In the Nougat based roms the situation is a bit better, but only 1 or 2 roms working well (only one CM14.1 port and two AOSP) for this, but it's a very young system, so when we know whats the problem on MM base the other devs will solve the problem (i think )
And I think not in this device the only one what is produces this problem, just the users don't know about this, because "working".
Here is the official thread with logcats and others in my google drive and the full storyline about the testing.
And reported on the official MIUI forum: link
In my drive you see the logcats, the krexus is the good, but renamed the files, so simpliest.
Some devs say the adreno blobs the problem. Tried to make an update (the zip in the drive), which is changing the adreno blobs to a correct (krexus), but when installed to a cm13 or other mm roms, the rom's stuck before the boot animation.
That's all, don't know what is the problem on the base.
Thanks for the help!

Hi, I'm sorry if this question is asked way too frequently, but the thing is, when I bought the Redmi Note 3 over a year ago, I had planned to install a near stock Android ROM. But after searching for a good ROM, I found that none of the AOSP ROMs back then supported VOLTE, which I absolutely require for Jio. Even now when I search for marshmallow ROMs, most of them either don't support VOLTE or have some other bugs like dual SIM not working which makes those ROMs unfit for daily use. Now that xposed for Nougat is out, I'm willing to try a Nougat AOSP ROM. Is there a stable 100% bug-free near stock Android Nougat ROM for redmi note 3? I would appreciate if people would recommend me a good ROM ONLY if they have personally tested & confirmed that the ROM is indeed 100% bug-free, VOLTE works & there aren't any battery drain issues. I don't want to flash a ROM, then find out it has bugs, then move back again to MiUI. If there is no such ROM, then I'll just continue using MiUI. Thanks.
Dude mention your requirements like stability is undefined but on an overall basis, you can try any of these Tested: Resurrection remix, Viper OS, AOSIP & Others: Citrus CAF, Nitrogen OS Nougat with a custom kernel like ElementalX or Radon. Check description for the site which contains everything you need.

I'll be checking out the site you mentioned, but my requirements are basically an AOSP ROM that is 100% bug free. Other than that, I would _PREFER_ a ROM that doesn't have way too many additional features(Resurrection Remix is one good example of a ROM having too many additional features). I would rather use Xposed for all the fancy features & not have it built into the ROM. It's pretty hard to find a ROM that doesn't have ANY kind of bugs or any battery drain issues so I would use any AOSP ROM that is completely bug free, I have no specific feature requirements.

IMO Customised Lineage OS by Umang96 is the most stable Rom. It has Radon kernal build in.
As official Gapps was released, more Pie based custom ROMs were released with dfferent built-in kernels.
But: do you know about any custom kernels - mainly overclocked ones - for Pie?
I know, I have to wait patiently, I'm just curios about the options because I found a great ROM with minimal bugs, the only problem is the kernel they use, I got used to much faster performance.
Why is not available any kernel for Oreo/Pie roms? I would really like to see a kernel for Pie to edit the frequences due to overheating...
