Ok my mom just got the Huawei GR5 which is the same thing basically as the 5X. It only came in French and English since its a Canadian model. How can I install new language packs on it? In particular Vietnamese. Thank you for any help!

As far as I know , there will be no language packs for Android phones . it should be available in the native way . if u want above feature ,then u at least have to try a ROM which includes it or else flash a stock ROM of same model which includes the requested language . (don't flash full ROM , flash only system , boot.IMG )

Please refer to this thread. But you will need to root your S3 for this

Hello,
I recently got 2 mobile devices labeled "Lenovo" I doubt if its genuine but I dont care as I got them for free. The problem is that the phone have no options for languages other than english or Chinese. I would like to flash the phone in order to install android and use Greek language. Is that possible? Do I need a custome ROM for doing this?
i need rom for Alcatel POP C5 5036D
Few of my friends got that piece of junk in Netherlands, but it hasn't PL (polish) language only Portuguese, Deutsch and Netherland (?). It would be very nice if someone could port something or make unique ROM for it with EU East & Central language pack.
OR
If anyone know how to add a freakin polish to Android 4.2.2 & will share with his/her knowledge I would really appreciate it :highfive:

Have you tried morelocale from the playstore? Maybe you have to root it first and then use morelocale but try it first without rooting.

Did not even knew that such aps are out there
Will update tommorow about progress.
Updating:
After succesfull root with Kingo I used Morelocale 2 with NL Rom on 5036X ! and it's about 85% PL, rest is in EN.
So... sorry for mistaking it as 5036D (Dual Sim), as it is 5036X (Sim)
And now need some ROM for that crap, cause stock is stinking
Pls, if anyone find roms for 5036x, contact me asap. Thanks.
If you're able to build a ROM, here's the official sources for 5036D: 5036D_20150804.tar.gz

Free, more complex: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
Paid, a bit easier: https://funkyhuawei.club/rebranding
None of these are particularly easy. What reason specifically do you have to rebrand? Note that the Chinese version gets the most updates. The main issue with the Chinese version for me is that some Google functionality (e.g. location history) is not working out-of-the-box.

Hi to all.
Could someone who has the Honor 9 in Chinese rom please give a full description of how it looks like and what are the cons of having a Chinese version device? I heard google apps are missing but that issue can be solved easily. what about the language and menu? If you choose English language would there be a problem with Chinese characters and stuff or you can enjoy a fully English phone?
A side from the fact that you have to install Google Service onto your device yourself. There isn't much of a difference between the Chinese version of the Honor 9 and the international version.
