I searched around through this forum but couldn't find anyone with the same problem as me.
I just flashed my HTC HD2 (not T-mobile) to radio rom 2.12 and then the latest energize rom. However, after looking through the file explorer, it won't let me access the root of the SD card or rather, the SD card doesn't even show up at all.
When I view "memory", it says that storage card is not installed.
I've tried soft resetting, hard resetting, removing and re-inserting the card but to no avail. Also, I can still access the SD card in my phone when plugged in by usb on my computer. So I know the SD card is working, it's just not being recognized by my phone.
Can anyone shed some light if I need to "reinstall" the card after flashing? I've reformatted it multiple times to FAT32.
EDIT: Problem solved. Could a moderator delete this or remove the topic please?
I've tried two different Micro SD cards in my new Verizon Galaxy S III, neither are being detected at all by the phone. I tried formatting one as both FAT32 and exFAT and still no dice. Any help? I really hope my phone isn't faulty.
What are the brand/size of card? Where did you get them?
Try letting the phone format the sd card in settings

Wow, as soon as I post this, it starts working perfectly fine. I did a factory reset and the SD card still didn't work at first, but I reinserted it and now it's recognized. Thanks anyway.
It will recognize it but it is barely useable and you cant do apps 2 sd because samsung is blocking it

Btw, I can't stand the way the internal & external SD cards are handled now.
I'm having the same card issues. Att galaxy s3 won't recognize the sd card. In my original s1 it works. I see all the contents. It works with my micro sd adapter when in my computer. I really don't want to do a factory reset. It sounds like it just worked out of nowhere. Although yours was solved, I'm hoping for a fix other than it just worked. Any other options besides factory reset? Anyone else having same issue and found a fix? Under storage tab in settings it says mount sd card and below it insert sd card. Thanks for any help in advance.

I allready tried with another SD card and also tried my SD card in another phone.
Can anyone suggest a solution ?

Try formatting SD card in pc and then use in phone.

Try dialing *#*#7378423#*#*, go to Service tests>External Memory (if you are on ICS already - I don't recall GB having this option). It should be able to detect your microSD card as "Inserted/Mounted".

But I`m not on ICS yet...
The update is not released yet for my phone.
I think returning my phone to the store is my best option right now.

Also works on Gingerbread.
I dialed that number and folowed the steps and it says "memory card status : Not inserted".
Gues it's a hardware problem then?

my wt19i wont mount any sd card i connected the phone on the pc to take some photos and in the moment he did a restart and when start i get a noftitaciton blank sd card i did factory reset hard reset , flash the firmaware but he donte mount the card i took a new card and the new card wont to mount but the old sd card work fine in another phones i dont now what is the problem plsss help meee

my wt19i is on stock GB rom, i rooted it, installed Link2SD, created partition on my sd card, linked some apps to the sd card..
and then i decided to flash my phone to stock ICS.. it succeeded though.. but my phone can't recognize the sd card anymore..
i flashed it again to stock GB, formated the sd card, but it still the same..
I have the xactly same problem. Last night I tried to flash AOS 4.4.x to my WT19i with no good. So I reflashed with last working CM (CM9.1) with 4GB flash inserted. I reflashed, set the phone up for the first time, connected with facebook and installed couple of apps (I have not moved the apps to card - all were in the internal memory). But toady in the morning, I bought a new 8GB sd card and wanted to replace it. And here the problem starts.
When I inserted the card into the phone, it said that the card could be removed. When I look into settings>storage, I see "mount sd card" option. When I click it, it goes grey for a sec and then BOOM, "mount sd card". I tried returning back my old 4GB card, but I still see the "mount sd card" option. Simply, the phone stopped reading any sd card.
Even the recovery cant read the card, which I think is a major issue - I cannoit reflash system, since I cannot access sd acrd in recovery.
Yes, every card I tried IS working - tested on other two phones and three computers.
So I think, is it a hardware issue with the card interface in the phone?

I have recently rooted my galaxy mega dual sim phone. Everything seemed ok, until I realized my SD card is not shown in storage section. It seems my phone no longer detects my SD card.
I found a really similar problem posted in the forums, but the instructions were for s4 mini... Anyhow I copy/paste what the op had said there:
Since I rooted my phone the device won't mount my SD card. As soon as I boot the device it shows a system notification "You can safely remove SD card".
When I go into Settings>More>Storage the bottom option is for "Mount SD card". However when I press this it says "Preparing SD card" and then roughly 10 seconds later says "SD card safe to remove".
I have been using the Sandisk 64GB XC I SD card with the phone since I bought it.
The phone seems to have rooted correctly. Rootchecker advises that the phone is properly rooted.

I`m pretty sure, It is not hardware related, because I can see my SD card in recovery mode, and my pc seems to be able to read it just fine.I am also able to use other SD cards on my phone ( I tested a 16GB and a 4GB) but not the mentioned SD card ( 64GB ).
What do you think the problem is? Is it kernel related? If so, what kernel should I use to fix it?
Hi I have a Xperia z2 and I recently upgraded to the marshmallow update. And now the apps on the sd card won't open, they have a red sd card symbol next to them. What has happened to my sd card, can someone please help me thanks.
that is know problem of permissions SD card in MM, solution for that i guess in eXistenz Rom 3.5.0
Your Sd is still good, but the app permissions are broken. Try installing the apps again without uninstalling the damaged ones.
