Recalibrate the proximity sensor
Make sure your sensor is not blocked with screen guard etc.
Try to re-calibrate your proximity sensor.

Recalibrate the proximity sensor
If a restart does not solve the proximity sensor issues on your Redmi Note 3, you can try recalibrating the sensor from the hidden service menu of the phone. This service menu can be accessed by opening the Dialer app and keying in “*#*#64663#*#*â€. From the menu that opens up, tap Proximity Sensor followed by Calibration. Once the calibration successfully toast message comes up, tap Black Card and immediately keep your finger on the proximity sensor. You should get a BlackCard success message. If not, repeat the step again.
On your phone’s dialer, enter * # * # 64663 # * # *
On the Hardware tests menu, select Proximity sensor.

I somewhat recently got an LG V20. (H990DS)
Quite soon I became aware of the following issue:
Several times per day, when turning on the screen, either through fingerprint or pattern, the homescreen doesn't respond to touch.
I've activated "show touches" in the developer menu, and it show that the touches are being registered by the screen, but nothing at all happens.
Horrible stuff caught on camera:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If I first press the home key, then everything works as it should. It's like there's some kind of invisible overlay on the homescreen that intercepts the touches. It's also possible to pull down the status bar while the homescreen is non-responsive. Selecting anything in the notifications resets the homescreen to a working state.
Swiping the notifications up without selecting anything preserves the homescreen in the non-touch-responding state.
Things I've tried:
Factory reset
Rooting/downgrading ROM
Other launchers than stock: Nova, Next Laucher 3D Shell
Checking accessibility settings
Why u do me this horrible thing, Android?
So I'm all out of ideas. I've held off on using this phone as my daily driver because of this horrible nuisance.
I'm hoping that someone here has an idea about what's going on.
Hello, I have changed the screen density (minimum width) to 440 dpi from developer options to suit my personal preference.
However, this has caused issues with in-call keypad buttons layout; cut from the right and the bottom.
Please refer to the picture posted below. I can still press the buttons with repeated tries, but still an inconvenience. Changing themes does not help with this. Any ideas how can I mod this to fit the screen?

its a bug i think me too facing the same..
report it to realme1
What's the point in Changing the dpi??
Have you managed to fix it or find a better dpi with fewer glitches?
No solution yet
I have faced the same issue. The oppo center couldn't dig deep and I wanted a quick fix. They just factory reset my phone and returned it. There seems to be no problem when the screen lock is a pattern not pin. My dpi is 480 and I do face problems with keypad during a call.

If you go into settings > lock screen > shortcuts
and then place flashlight as one of the shortcuts (which I recommend by the way), and lets say, place camera on the other side..
For some reason, the flashlight is (also) toggled by tap rather then swipe like the other widgets.
(same thing for the Do Not Distrub mode)
This causing a lot of accident toggles from edge palm holding and I find my flashlight on by accident multiple times..
I couldn't find any way to change the way the flashlight is toggled, swipe is perfectly fast enough for me and secure enough to avoid accidental toggles.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!
I had the same issue and after the last update, it went back to swipe.
