Hi there!
I write because I have installed Remix OS on my Windows 10 laptop. I installed Remix on new F Partition (30gb) i made for it, separated from Windows. Everything went perf and i have the bootloader even installed (came with the remix file) but when i reboot to go into remix os it sais that its formating the partition. My question is if only remixs partition or even windows? thanks
thats normal, it's formatting 8, 16 or the 32gb that you chose for your size

Hi,
I have got Remix OS for PC on my USB. I decided I want to install Remix OS for PC into my second HDD as I have two HDDs - 3TB one with three partitions, and 500GB one with two partitions. I used 500GB for other OS so I installed Remix OS for PC into this HDD. After restarted, my PC appeared "Select OS to boot" with two OS (Windows 10 Pro, and Remix OS). I chose Remix OS then chose Resident Mode, it went to terminal screen whatever it does then my PC restarted. I chose Remix OS to boot, it restarted and I did it over and over again. Any solution to this problem?
I installed Remix OS at primary partition of my PC and works fine.
How can I install another OS on the remaining HD space and have a boot manager/loader for selecting which OS to boot from at startup?

Click to collapse
Maybe install a non-remix linux distro first, then the other OSs and manage them all with grub? I did that when using Ubuntu, Windows, and OSX. I forget the process, though
Thanks for this but Remix is already installed on primary partition...
I'm having some trouble with booting Remix OS after installation in HDD.
I am trying to install the OS as a standalone OS on my netbook running on Intel atom N270 with 2GB RAM. I made a bootable USB of the OS and installed it on my HDD by hilighting Resident mode and pressing Tab and entering the follwing words after the kernal script thing
INSTALL=1 DEBUG=(nothing)
When I press Enter after this a blue screen pops up asking me to choose the installed drive and asking me if I want to format it but I had installed Lubuntu(now removed) before Remix OS, so the HDD was already in ext4 format.
I say yes to installed GRUB loader and yes to Read/Write system and when the installation is complete and I reboot the system, it doesnt boot into Remix OS.
While rebooting, holding down Shift doesnt help either.
If anyone has had similar issues or has any suggestions please comment below
I have windows 10 pro, I have downloaded the 64 bit (uefi and legacy) Remix os.
I have used the remix application to move the file to the pendrive and make it bootable.
when i reboot, im able to see the pendrive.
but when i click the pendrive, windows 10 boots up.
What should i do to, make it boot in to remix os?
Hello,
I got an old laptop and I want to intstall Remix OS on it.
It has Intel Atom Processor N455 (512K Cache, 1.66 GHz) , 1 GB ram and 160 GB storage.
is it possible to install ONLY Remix OS (not dual boot with another OP)?
If it does possible, how do I do that?
Thank you
So I managed to install RemixOS but I could'nt use an app that requires an unrooted device.
Is there any way to unroot RemixOS ?
Thank you
Installing remix os as the only OS is easy. Boot Live usb, in grub press e on the first choice and add "INSTALL=1" then F10 to boot. Select the partition you want, format to ext4, make system read write, and install GRUB Efi in the following screens. It will delete windows btw so backup.
I have a TW700 tablet and have been totally unsuccessful loading Remix 3.0 on it
