Hello sorry i do not know what command? Can u help? Lol sorry for being noob
Do you know how to use SDK tools?
in sdk tools you use "adb shell" and then "settings put global heads_up_notifications_enabled 0"
lg unfortunately removed the normal way of removing peek notifications.

Erm where do i find SDK? Im on lg g5.
It's a program on pc, you can download it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
I'm guessing you don't know how to use it, so I'll explain what you need to do.
1. go to settings in your phone and open "about phone", there open "software information" and press "build-number" untill it says you are a developer (I think 5 times).
2. go back to settings, open developer options and turn usb-debugging on.
3. install sdk tools (from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790) and drivers (from here: http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425) on your pc and open the installation folder "minimal adb and fastboot".
4. hold left shift and press right mouse butten, then press open command window here.
5. type "adb devices" and press enter, it should name your device, followed by "device" (if it says "unauthorized", press ok on your phone).
6. type "adb shell" and hit enter.
7. type "settings put global heads_up_notifications_enabled 0" and hit enter
8. type "exit" and hit enter.
now peek notifications are turned off.
nb: this should work with locked bootloader and without root
Hello thanks u for post this. When i enter adb near at end. Its said cannot find or somethings? Am i doing somethings wrong? As i follow correctly
Without sounding rude, I'd suggest you read somewhere about how to use ADB in your native language. It can't be explained any easier than what withouttab did.
Btw in your case you seem to be in the wrong directory with the command line. Also please give accurate error messages like can't find adb command or whatever there is on your screen.
Did anybody notice that after update a clock on always on display doesn't always show up to date time? It takes a second to refresh but I had the situation when it wasn't updating at all, showing the time when I last time put phone in the pocket.
Imho this 7.0 has not really been tested on the g5... This doze shiznat causes more trouble than extending batt time...

Forgive the noob question but...
So I've flashed the stock, deodexed TW ROM posted by DocRambone. Now, when I open Terminal Emulator and enter 'su', the 'reboot' command doesn't seem to be available anymore. I ran 'ls /system/bin' and definately didn't see it listed in the output. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I not doing something right?
This isn't a huge problem, but any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
In ADB you should just type reboot or reboot recovery you can't be in su when this is done. Just start communication through ADB then type one of those commands.
too complicated though
Yeah I can still connect my Tab to my computer and use adb to reboot it, but that's too complicated.
Prior to flashing the new ROM, if I ever felt the need to reboot my Tab, I'd just open Terminal Emulator, type in 'su' then 'reboot' and then wait for it to come back up. Basically I'm just too lazy to reboot it using the power button, but if I gotta then I gotta.
After searching and searching and searching I need to post a few questions.
I "accidentally" wiped the internal storage on my HTC One, and I have been trying to side load a new rom for 3 hours with no luck at all.
I hit adb sideload in TWRP it just sits at starting adb side load feature... and does nothing.
On my mac I have ADB installed and it pops up as usual in a terminal window, but when I search for devices, it shows no devices found.
Any suggestions other than to search the forums, because I have had no luck.

Yes, I have the phone in recovery when searching.
that is really all I can do with the phone currently is boot to recovery.

I finally figured it out, and I can't tell you why this worked.
As I said I could not do anything with my device other than boot into recovery. So I started looking everywhere in TWRP in and out of the different menus, and for some reason decided to wipe the system again.
After I wiped the system again I connected my device to my mac, and punched a couple commands. Next thing I know I hit enter with my fingers crossed, and my serial number pops up.
after that happened I was able to side load a ROM, and I am now currently back up and running slightly ashamed, and fully aware never to check the system button on a device without an external SD slot.

Glad it worked, I don't use Mac so I didn't know what all was needed to run adb or if you had it working previous to the wipe.

I doubt you will ever wipe your internals again after this experience, but its always good to have an OTG cable that you can buy online for like $3.. You can install from usb flash using this cable in twrp recovery like its an external sd card. Its also useful for other simple transfer type of work.
Thread has been moved to Q&A. :good:

Hey man, I am on the same boat right now. Can you please tell me the exact steps you took to recover?
I am fairly new at this and kinda freaking out.
Thanks.
Good news, I just managed to do it!
So here is how it goes on Mac OS X (I personally use 10.7.5.).
Before you begin with your computer:
- go into recovery
- advanced
- reboot into recovery
If it reboots straightaway, you're ready to go. But it might wait, and offer you to root your phone. Do that, otherwise it won't work!
I would also restart the computer, just for a clean start. I also wiped my phone once again (factory reset).
On your Mac:
- make sure your rom (*.zip) is inside the platform-tools folder (this is inside the android sdk, where adb is)
- your phone should be disconnected and in recovery mode
1. open Terminal
2. type: cd (press space)
3. pull the platform-tools folder onto the terminal, press enter (this is here: /android/sdk/platform-tools)
4. type: ./adb kill-server (enter)
5. type: ./adb usb (enter) -> now it should say that "error: device not found"
6. connect your phone to the computer with the usb
7. type: ./adb devices -> it should show your phone, recovery mode
8. in your phone enter sideload mode (either in advanced, or in install zip option)
9. type: ./adb devices -> check if your phone is connected in sideload mode
10. type: ./adb sideload + <full name of the rom, including .zip, without brackets>
It should work, for me everything went perfectly.
Press thanks if it helped! Good luck :good:
*edit: Don't forget to logout in the end (just type logout and hit enter)
If the Terminal keeps saying that daemon can't be started, restart the computer and it should work.

ok, so what should happen is that your computer shows that it is transferred. After it is done, your phone should install the program. Sometimes it doesn't show anything for me. These times i just wait until something happens, if still nothing either hit cancel or back. It worked for me every time; if you still have problems, you should upload a video of the whole procedure, so I can have some idea of what is going wrong (send a youtube link in pm)

Thank you so much for this ,,i tried everything with no success. This worked for me.You are the best. Im bookmarking this so if it happens again. Bang I know where to look.
I'm also using Mac (10.9.x) and had the same problem - accidentally wiped my HTC One sdcard and had no ROM, nothing and sideload didn't work (when I give the adb sideload command in terminal, it exits within a few secs and nothing changes on the phone).
The quickest solution for me was to just stay in TWRP with USB connected and....
1) Manually copy the ROM binary in terminal ie. :
adb push <path_to_ROM> /sdcard/
2) After above completes, in TWRP, just select "Install zip from sdcard" and select the file copied above from /sdcard/
Your description worked for me. Thanks you!
But I also had issues with adb . If anyone ever looking for a solution go to stackoverflow and search "Installing ADB on MAC OS X"
and then apply Danvid113s solution.

Hello,
I have a Straight Talk ZTE Majesty Pro LTE [Z799VL]. It runs Android 6.0.1. This phone occasionally installs apps and has an annoying app called AppFinder. I have tried to root this phone with KingoRoot and KingRoot. So, I need help figuring out if this thing is even rootable. I would get a more accessible phone, but I'm short on money. I know this is short on information, but I'd be willing to help in any way I can.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Boop.
I'm fairly certain this phone was released recently. Maybe it's just too soon.
I have this same phone and am having the same problem finding info on how to root it. Keeping a hopeful eye on this thread
Any news for ZTE Majesty PRO unlock?
My friend just brought it from USA to Europe and he want to use it in normal way

There is a thread called Universal Method with a file and instructions but my Android device is the only PC I own so I haven't given it a try. The post has a Windows and a Linux method.

Have you unlocked the bootloader?
I recently upgraded to an Android 7.1.1 ZTE Majesty™ Pro Plus LTE (Z899VL) from TracFone,, and was rather dismayed to find out that it has an unremovable Facebook app (among other rubbish that I don't want/don't use).
I've never rooted a device before, and I know that this thread's a little old, but would anyone be willing to post a very-newbie-friendly step-by-step tutorial/walkthrough for rooting this phone (assuming it's possible)?
I have Developer Options enabled, and I can easily unlock the bootloader if that's required. I just want to get rid of these useless (for me) System Apps.
Oh, also: I don't have Linux, so… if it's possible, perhaps the rooting method could work using a Windows 7 PC?
need fastboot to unlock the bootloader. to the best of my knowledge, which aint much. but i can not find access to any kind of dl mode let alone fastboot.

Well, I finally managed to get my 899VL (it's not a 799VL as I'd thought — sorry) to show up as an ADB device; it accepts commands from the ADB program… except that when I execute "adb reboot bootloader", it just reboots my phone.
The ZTE logo shows, then the TracFone logo, and then Android boots as normal. It's as though I simply used the "Restart" option on my phone itself.
Due to this, I can't use "fastboot" commands, because it doesn't seem to enter Fastboot at all.
I do have both the OEM unlocking and USB debugging options turned ON. My only guess as to what's going wrong is that it's TracFone's fault. (Alas, I have no proof…)
Is there anything else that I can do to try and unlock the bootloader? Or is this phone a lost cause?

Well, I don't know about any other method to unlock boot loader.
BTW, in case of some phones, turning on the "OEM Unlock" button in Developer Options unlocks the bootloader automatically, so maybe, just check whether your bootloader is locked or not.
Both Didn't work

Hello,
first i must apologize for my English but, i´ve got my phone back from display repair and i have it now out of warranty so i decide to make a root but i cant find step-by-step guide to do that. I´am on 6.0.1 android, Kernel 3.10.49, type VDF-995NB02-CZ10d.

Can anyone help me please? I rooting for first time no Samsung device. I have some experience but i cannot downgrade to 5.1.1 to use Kingroot or MobileGo to root. After the root i want update back to 6.0.1 or use custom ROM.
i searched on Modaco and here but i cannot find guide what i can undestand and be sure if that will work for me.

Take a backup of your data before proceeding further.
Try this,
Download adb and Koush Universal adb driver and install them on ur pc, always install the driver first and don't install the drivers adb setup asks u to install.
Run command prompt as administrator.
Open the folder in c drive where adb is installed, u can use file explorer for this.
Press Shift+right click and select open command window here.
Enable USB debugging on your phone and connect it to the pc by a USB cord.
Enter command "adb devices" without quotation marks.
If it shows some device connected, only then proceed further.
Enter command " adb reboot bootloader"
Enter command " fastboot devices", if it shows some device to be connected, only then proceed further.
Enter command " fastboot oem unlock".
Ur phone may then ask for final confirmation on the phone screen, select yes.
When procedure completes, type "fastboot reboot" and ur phone will reboot.
U can now use Kingoroot for pc or any other tool for rooting.

When procedure completes, type "fastboot reboot" and ur phone will reboot.
U can now use Kingoroot for pc or any other tool for rooting.

Have you installed adb? If yes, then proceed further.
You are in the wrong folder. The correct path should be C:\adb
Then Shift+right click
Select "Open command window here"

Hi, still in progress, i trying everything but still without succes. Someone know how to easily downgrade to 5.1.1 with this phone?
Now it give me this : <waiting for any device>
Hey all i dont know what the deal is but ive got an lg g5 that just will not boot to the bootloader. I've tried factory resetting it and all the methods to get to bootloader just reboots the phone fully. Adb reboot booloader, key combos, nothing seems to work. Any ideas??
First, connect your smartphone with your PC; plug in the USB cord in order to establish the connection.
On your computer access the Android SDK folder.
From there open a command prompt window: press and hold the Shift keyboard key while right clicking on any blank space.
Next, in the cmd window type “adb reboot bootloader” and wait while the bootloader mode is displayed on your smartphone
That's basically what I did and worked first time..make sure the adb and fastboot package is installed and open the command window from that folder

Did all that.. I mean I've flashed custom recoveries and roms to other phones before and never really had a problem i couldn't google..this has me stumped. It simply refuses to even access the bootloader.
If it helps it was a koodo phone and is running the latest official patch from lg on nougat. The only thing i could find online was that sprint supposedly removed all access to the bootloader on theirs, but i cant find any real info on that either. It reboots when i send the adb reboot bootloader but its like fastboot just isn't there..?? It reboots right back to the android home screen. Ive tried all possible key combos as well... Ugh
Which model is it..mines the h850
Ive got the h831
I think I've sort of answered my own question. From browsing the forums it appears the Canadian variant has the bootloader locked down and inaccessible, which would explain a lot..lol.. I really hate when this kind of thing is done to the consumer...ugh. Back to xiaomi i guess lol

Interesting - my xianomi hat an locked bootloader and i had to ask for permission (for the phone I bought!) to unlock the bootloader.
LG is also locked, but the unlocking procedure is way easier.
