no lock (AOD) and nexus one flashlight?

Does anybody use these applications?
I ordered MT4 and I plan to install these:
no lock can wake up the phone by pressing ANY hard button
nexus one flashlight can use the phone's light.

the phone comes stock with htc's flashlight that give you 3 modes of brightness, blinking and sos... also you can change the buttons in the key layout to wake without an app theres more on that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836702
he is correct and i was using no lock but be very careful because the genius button can place calls on its own if you have no lock enabled that gets kinda funny when you "butt dial" friends lol and i find the stock HTC flashlight app to work flawlessly already so no need for 3rd party apps.

Android 5.1 How to switch the motion and proximity sensing OFF

I now have two 5.1 phones, a Moto G 2015 and an Elephone S2. Both have this really TERRIBLE feature that switches the display on when the phone is moved about, or even when one's hand is waved about near them. I am astounded to find that some people think this is useful. I do not: if I want to get to the lockscreen, then I want to just press the power button, as in the past.
Neither of the phones appears to have anything relevant in their settings. I have read other posts and it's clear some phones do have settings for this, but these two do not.
Both my phones are rooted of course and using Titanium backup I've found that freezing 'Moto Display' does prevent the Moto G from having this dire and unwelcome 'feature'.
The Elephone S2 is a pretty bog standard version of 5.1, but I can't see anything in the Titanium list of app modules that seems relevant to preventing the motion and proximity sensors from starting up the phone. If anyone has any solutions to this problem, I'd be delighted to hear from them.!

The nearest setting to that which the Elephone has is 'smart wake ', and I already had everything switched to off there. It seems to be the user interface for an app 'motion recognition' and is the settings for custom screen draw actions, not to do with position or proximity sensors..
But I think I have found the cure in my particular instance. It is another app 'Pocket Lock' which I installed because I used to use it on my Moto G 2013. It's to prevent the screen waking up by accidentally pressing the power button while the phone was in my pocket.
I automatically installed it on the Elephone, but there it seems to have the reverse effect of encouraging the sensors to kick the screen into action. I've de installed it and now it doesn't want to wake up unless I press the power button. Which is fine!

Night clock / screen burn-in / developer options

Hi
I have several questions :
1. I already experienced that the night clock doesn't appear instantly when you put the watch onto the charger. Sometimes it takes a time till it appears.
2. What about screen burn from the night clock? I read about it in the forum for the first gen moto 360. Is it still a issue with the 2nd Gen 360?
3. There are wear developer options in the developer options. And there is the option "burn-in protection" (I hope it's called that way in English, I've got it on German) but it won't activate even after reboot as it tells me to do.

I disable the night clock by turning on theater mode (double click the side button). But I do this because it seems to fix the heart rate monitor from tracking the apparent 100BPM of the charger lol.
I use the Slumber app that automatically turns the screen off as soon as you place the watch on the charger.
I don't think there will be any burn in issue, since Moto360v2 have LCD screen. Burn-in have place on OLED screens only (Huawei Watch for example) since they have organic diods which degrade over time. LCD don't have this issue at all because they have one backlit light for all pixels and 'rotating' pixels. With LCD screens nothing is affected by the picture on the screen (technically). With OLED screens each pixel emits light on its own, therefore degradation of pixels is dependant on the picture on the screen (whether this particular pixel emits the light most time or not) = burn in.
Therefore night mode on Moto360 can be used safely for as long as you wish.

Hola
I tried this slumber app but it did not turn my screen off during charging. Yes, I did launch the app from the watch and ensured that it was enabled.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

The button to enable/disable Slumber wasn't very intuitive to me. I actually disabled it when I wanted to enable it, so you may have the same problem. Try toggling the setting the other way around.
also, incase anyone noticed, slumber only puts a black overlay on top of the clock. the screen is still lit up at night, but it's black. incredibly stupid on Motorola to not let us shut off the screen.

That's the answer. Why is anyone doing anything else?

The most recent updates fixed it. I use it every night.

Correct. It was the one before the last one. Every night here too.

I put my watch in Theater mode (swipe down from the top, then swipe left) and the face stays off until I remove the watch from the charger and press the button to wake it.

Does the vibration work?

Hi!
I bought xiaomi my pad 4 on aliexpress, it comes with Mokee pre-installed.
The vibration when pressing a key does not work, I have tried applications to test it and it has not worked.
I have seen a video of android 8 that from GBoard activate the vibration, but I have gone to look for the option and it does not appear.
Does anyone have this tablet? Does the vibration work?
I return the tablet to the seller?
I would appreciate your help, greetings.
I don't think it has a vibration motor, mine doesn't vibrate either.

I don't know any tablet which has a vibration motor..
Thanks for the answers. I'm more relaxed
I thought the tables also had vibration.
It is strange to press a virtual button and have no tactile response.
Anyway, the tablet is very good.
I'm not an expert in hardware. But I have searched for mipad 4 teardown and in the pictures I have not seen any motor.
I will make one last attempt changing Mokee for original MIUI.

vibration works in miui man ?
I'm using official MIUI with OTA support and there's not any vibration setting in SwiftKey keyboard. Attached screenshot.
Same settings screen shows vibration setting in my phone.
So, no, there's not vibration for keyboard in this tablet.
Mi Pad 4 has no vibration! GPS module also absent!

Palm PVG100 Screen Wake On Plug & Fully Charged

I'm close to having the phone perfect but these two still persist. There is a myriad of old options for Xposed and I was wondering if anyone has had success with any of them? I use the phone for a GPS unit on a cycle with a dynamo hub, so the waking up is annoying.
I've sorted the sound already, so there are two wake up conditions:-
1. power is enabled
2. battery reaches 100%.
Cheers, Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I can't help with Xposed, but I have a suggestion and a side question.
My suggestion : try IpBike (with IpBikeKey to unlock it).
The author of IpBike reads and answers e-mails. He is opened to new features if the idea is good.
If IpBike can't force the screen off (I never tested, as I don't charge my device as I cycle !), he may add the feature.
My question : is the PVG100 ANT+ capable ?
I use a Sony-Ericsson Xperia Active as a cycle computer (powered by IpBike), with ANT+ Speed, Cadence and Heart-rate sensors.
I would like to replace it with a PVG100E/EU, but the ANT directory does not list any Palm device.
Have a nice day !
Cobus.
Probably not, ANT is an extra cost for a manufacturer.
I found an open-source app which works. It's a bit old but still it does the job.
Basically it registers itself as an admin app so it can control the screen, then when a wakeup comes in it turns the screen back off. It's quick enough that the screen doesn't get a chance to come on. No root required.

Have you tried enabling "zen mode?" Zen mode keeps everything on the phone from waking I believe. I have tried it, but got annoyed when the wifi would cut out once I turned my screen off, because it would stop what I was listening to. Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but zen mode might be something to play around with.
To activate zen mode, the easiest way is probably through the app "setedit." Under "system" options, scroll to the bottom and change zen mode from 0 to 1.
