I tried to change smartwatch's language trough the adb. Now it keeps crashing, can't access options. Error: "unfortunately launcher has stopped."
I guess i didn't have the last firmware, probably was the problem. i can't find a way to hardreset it or reinstall the firmware trough the adb. Can you help me to solve this? At this point i don't care about the language anymore, i just want to recover the watch...

I have the English version of the watch. I've flashed Roms before on Samsung/Nexus phones before. If you walk me through the steps, I can try backing up my English version amazfit pace rom

An interesting experiment would be to get hold of an update zip. I guess you probably have firmware 1.3.0n on your watch. When you get an update, it would be nice if you could try to download the update.zip from the watch. I'm not 100% sure if that can be done easily via adb. Then we could try to see if the Chinese version accepts this update, too.
If yes, great. We're done. If not, then it will be difficult if not even impossible.

You can try to do a backup of the watch. Someone has made a small progress and is working on the source of the watch. He says a backup would help him. See here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3526828

Well, it's not really very difficult, but it also depends if you have ever used adb before to access you android phone. If yes, then we could do this via a chat. If he has no experience with adb, we would first need to install adb on his PC.
My English version just arrived today (yet to confirm it is the English version... I'm guessing firmware version 1.3.0n will tell me?)
I could do a dump if someone could point me in the right direction on how to collect? I've used adb before but mainly for flashing, not the other way or using shell. I could read more about how but I'm lazy right now (very time poor this time of year )
adb is setup on my Win10 machine though. (sees devices and adb drivers are right)

Thanks for the offer, but it is no longer necessary. We got two (identical) copies of the English system rom. We now need to find the right way to flash this back to the Chinese version.

I am writing here because there aren't so much informations about this watch on xda or other forums. I am having a lot of problems connecting my watch to my phone...It is really strange because It was ok until some days ago, but now It seems like I can't connect them if between them there are more than 10 cm.
I used this watch correctly for about 10 days and now It seems like there so much problems and it is so sad...

This isn't present in all the Rom!
I think it's Miui feature, I found it in my daughter Mi3s but haven't on my Z3

Try to:
1. Add or delete international prefixes from your contact numbers (+33)
2. Delete any spaces between digits ("xxxxxxxxx" instead of "xxx xxx xxx")

You will have to go to another site called: NEED ROM (dot) COM
and search for K900
There is a CWM installation process given there.

You will have to try a very infamous workaround. There is an app on the MIUI Google Play Store. I forgot what's it called. But get it and it will download all the apps.

Dude read two posts above you..
On the Phone:
Whatever the ROM, root it.
UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER
Install TWRP
On the PC:
go to Need (dot) rom
download the CWM
From your TWRP or through your device, FLASH CWM
Put the ROM on the SD card and flash it through CWM.
Hope that helps.

Bluetooth headset connection has problem with the voice. Whenever you connect it to a car or headset you can hear them or hear music but they will not hear you.

after a long search & efforts..This is the only available i could find..all thanks to you..
i have spent so many hours just to instal and finally it works!!!
very smooth, clean and light!! No bloatwares & unimportant apps..
Unfortunately, there is no Google Apps (Play Store especially)
i did google search and found the latest APK..
but everytime i download, it stucks on 44%..
i have no idea why but the problem persists either i use PC to download, or from my K900 directly, i tried also from several sites..
Do you have any idea how to install Play Store?
the phone became useless without it.

You are most welcome my friend. This is what this community is for, to help each other out wherever they can. Anyways, yes. To get Play Store to work is pretty much a cakewalk. And you have multiple ways to get it work thankfully.
The most easiest and simplest way to get to PlayStore to work is to get Open Gapps 4.4. - http://opengapps.org - We are X86, 4.4. and you can choose your variation.
Secondly, if you don't get this to work, there is a 2mb file on an MIUI forum which basically downloads all the .apk from Google - Google PlayStore etc. - http://xiaomininja.com/download/google-app-installer-file-download/
IF for some reason, this also doesn't work, then just ping me. I will send you the file I had installed.

Looks like i have to trouble you again..
i just noticed that my Wifi's MAC Address keep changing on every restart..
not sure on every restart -or- on everytime i turned on my wifi..
This is not a bad thing because i regularly use an app called "Pry-Fi (Root)" to create a random MAC whenever i was in Public Area..
But, in my work enviroment (building), i need a static/permanent MAC since i did address reservation already on our Mikrotik along with all the Wireless Routers/Hotspots in our building to help me control our WAN more easy.
i have search the forum and found this:

To be very honest, I am not an engineer or a hardware/networking guy. Nor do I care about my MAC address changing.
However, I did a little search and this is what I found for you:

It requires root, which I am sure you have.
Also, from what I am reading, I don't think a MAC address can change. It is linked to the hardware chip. It is your IP address that is changing, as per the quora question here:

usually it randomizes the MAC and back to normal after restart or turning off the Wifi.
Our CM-11 KitKat rom somehow changes the MAC every time we turn on the Wifi,
if we turn it off and on again, it will generate a new random address..
i have problem registering on that Russian forum haha..thought that i could ask there..
But no problem at all, this is not very important.
The good thing is, we finally have KitKat on K900

Hi, I'm not sure how to send private message through XDA app...
My idea for doing the backup is to make it available to others, and hopefully encourage someone to share a Global ROM so I can flash that to my Chinese watch.
For anyone that wants English menu on Amazfit Verge, there is a fresh tutorial on Youtube "Amazfit VERGE - how to change language" on Jomotech channel, where he shows how to change the Chinese menu to English.
I just done it and it works like a charm with a single small inconvenient, the Preferences menu in Settings is not working at all. So it will be a good idea to do your settings before modifying the language to english, then running the command.
There is an option to switch back to chinese if anyone needs that.

But doing this will break some app settings menu like Preferences in Settings and Playback Mode, Music Player app, and some others, at least on 3.0.10.0 firmware, not sure if this happens too in latest 3.0.11.1 version.

On my case the only menu that doesn't work is the Preferences menu, everything else is working fine. I still prefer this workaround rather the Google Translate with camera of the menus.
Today I've updated successfully to latest firmware 3.0.12.0 and language remain on English.
If anyone knows how to to install English language for good on the device, it would be nice to share it here.

Good day.
Today i saw a article about a user that had facebook installed in her phone, and even without using it for months and with location services (gps) off, the app kept recording where she was.
And so, my question here is.
Without root, can i permanently remove facebook, that is system pre-installed, from my phone?
Disabling it, probably wouldn't solve it. I know that it is possible to remove it though ADB commands, but it only uninstalls it from my user. (probably is still working on the system? user)
Any developer or someone with more experience than me could shed a light about this?

I was in the same situation and I can tell u: you don't need to Uninstall stock spotify (of course u should at least disable it though) : u just need AppCloner, way simpler. It was banned on Google Playstore but it still present on Amazon AppStore

I dont remember exactly the steps but I think after disabling and removing Spotify via adb I installed the modded version as different package (with both different name icon etc) but I am not sure for the last steps. If I save the apk file via Appcloner and send it to you it may work I think. Do you want to try this method?

The point is wanting to install a modded version, u can't if your phone have already pre-installed that specific app. So, once u have the modded app'apk (find it on internet) u have to clone it and sign it with AppCloner. Once u obtein the NEW apk, just install it. Done.
Usually AppCloner is used to have 2 Viber, 2 Telegram, 2 WhatsApp but u can use it for this too

i would like to use my BIP with Mi Fit and I don't like to use Notify&Fitness.
But as Notify&Fitness provides an easy way to install a bigger font (latin) i used it to flash the bigger font. After installing the font I uninstalled Notify&Fitness.
Everytime I start Mi Fit (to update the weather e.g.) it flashed the normal font package. I tried everything to prevent it (disable app rights for storage, disable internet connection) but it always does.
So my workflow is currently to reinstall Notify&Fitness and reflash latin font every time after using Mi Fit. This is a pain in the a...
Is there any way to prevent Mi Fit from reflashing the font all the time?

Which alternative font version are you using? This is easy to patch.
I used the one "Notify & Fitness" provides.
It's called Emoji Font Latin (V73) - Filename "bold_v6.9_17_w_73.ft.latin"
This works with German umlauts (öüä) but Mi Fit overwrites it all the time.

I don't use N&F. I just used it for flashing the font and uninstalled it afterwards. I just use Mi Fit and Amazfit Tools and as long as i don't start Mi Fit the fonts are big and "umlauts" work.
I suggest that you do a test with N&F to verify that's a font problem. I suspect it's not a font problem.
Tried it with checked and unchecked option and the result is the same. AOU instead of ÄÖÜ
Are you testing using Text Test N&F option? Can you sent print from conf screen?
It's the first option and it makes no difference if on or off.
But anyway - this is not the right way to solve the problem. I'm searching for a way to modify a font (there is one that works perfectly) to not be overwritten by Mi Fit.
Currently I have two options:
1) Install a font which works with äöü but it is overwritten Everytime I start mi fit
2) Install a font which doesn't work with äöü (eg your font or a font I found in the net) and which isn't overwritten by Mi Fit
Currently I use option 2 but I would like to modify font 1.
I don't want to use N&F. I don't like it. BUT the font which works (option 1) is provided by N&F. I can download it and if I knew how to modify I would like to do that.

Hi,
if you want to install custom fonts, you need to use a modified apk of MiFit app. Otherwise it will always overwrite the fonts when connecting.

Or you can use a modified font for the original MiFit app.
There is a verion in myamazfit.ru (Bold_V6.10_9ft.zip) that should work with the official app without being overwritten.

Hi,
It appears that you have to create an account and login before you can download any files.
Can anyone provide a download that doesn't require this, or am I missing something?

Hi Anja,
Thanks for the link. I did create an account on the Russian site and downloaded the bold font.
It installed fine with the N & F app, but no text was displayed on my watch with it loaded.
I went back to an earlier version of the bold font which works, but for now I don't run the MiFit app so it doesn't overwrite the font.
Do you have any idea why I see no text with the new font?

Unfortunately no idea....
I also use N+F, install once a week a modified apk of MiFit (without Firmware/ also available at myamazfit.ru) to update A-GPS.
Maybe that would be the better solution. Unfortunately in N+F there is no option to update A-GPS by now :crying:

Good news guys, I managed to install Hebrew on my GTR lite.
I followed Pavel's video, downloaded the files he added.
The only thing that is different now is the "Right-to-left text" placement instead of "Setting->Advanced" it is located in "Notifications(envelop icon)->Apps->Notifications settings" scroll a little bit down and you will see the "Right-to-left" all the other steps remained the same as in the video.

My only problem now is that I have iPhone and the application needed is working on android only... is there any alternative for this application for iOS users?

You need to flash the font file with it, and to hope that there's an option of disabling OTA and has RTL handling.
I've tried to contact the dev several times ... it's a dead end to me, give it a try.

I succeeded upload the fonts to the watch using this app but nothing really happened...
Do I need to do something else?
As you wrote I also sent massage to the app dev...
Can you describe all process that you did to achieve hebrew on GTR Lite?
