Hi, I am new at the foro, i had dowloaded some things from here like the recovery and SuperSU.zip wich actually helped me a lot, now I have a quick question about Custom Roms in general, my phone is an Alcatel One Touch Pop 3 5015A and it has some ported Roms, my question is if the rom has to be ported or it can be any other rom that has 5 inch?

Rom ported for your device from other device that have same hardware specifications. Not only the display size. It includes processor, ram, internal storage, camera or same android version.

i am new to XDA and i dont know anything about rom developement
just had some experience with changing the rom
i am using galaxy y s5360
android 2.3
but i like ICS and jellybean version very much i want to put in my device
so i started looking for it i came across lots of custom roms and i have changed the rom many times still not satisfied i want to have real ics
now my question is that samsung galaxy y plus s5303 which has ICS and my device(s5360) are exactly similar just y plus have higher internal memory
why can we use the ICS firmware of s5303 and use to flash s5360 using odin just as we do for stock rom ?
or is there somthing to be modified
pls guys tell me
i am really mad about this ICS i have searching 1 year pls

Well with my experience I think the main difference is of the cpu if its different then u should be flashing different roms .....
Correct me if I am wrong
not a good idea .. flash a rom made for YOUR device or build one
Ics need minimum 512 mb to run on any device and galaxy y has only 289 mB of ram and also y has a 832 mhz single cored processor which cant handle ics and up so you better use any ics/jb themed rom ( the best is nemesis rom)

I have a Just5 Spacer device based on MTK6582M chipset and Android 4.2.2 on board. 2 weeks ago have released a Fly Era Style 3 (IQ4415) based on same chipset and stock KitKat. So, i have our stock rom and kitkat stock rom from Fly. Who can help me to port it to my device? I have anything what needed for porting (exclude sources).
At this moment i try to boot ported rom using patched boot.img from fly but with our kernel and stuck on this step. Who helps me to boot kitkat, from me alot of beer

Yup, it is. If you could give me the Fly Era Style 3 (IQ4415) ROM, I could do the porting for you . By the way, I have the same phone. Have already tried MIUI, Note 3 (beta), Yandex ROMs on this phone and I didnt like them. I would be very thankful if you could link me this Fly Era Style 3 (IQ4415) ROM.

I bought this phone (Blu Life Pure Mini) but did not like running your OS. However googled some ROMS to install and there is none for this phone.
I wonder if there is default so that I can install any ROM on my phone. I have preference for CyanogenMod.

Your post is hard to understand...But it looks you have delated some system files ie: Samsungcamera etc, as their is no official stock 4.4.4 rom just flash the custom rom that you flashed originally on top of your current rom this will reinstall the missing files.
You could extract the missing files from the original rom and manually restore them with root explorer but that might be too complicated for you to do.
Understanding your "message" as @tallman43... simply you have to restore the system partition without lose any data (excepted eventual mods, custom kernel and similar things).
Ps you're not on a stock rom, latest one is the 4.3.
So you can reinstall very easily the rom zip file via recovery, instead using Odin.
Hi guys I'm new in this forum, actually i need a help,
So i was bored with stock android of my xolo era 1x pro so wanted to flash a custom rom in that, I didn't able to find any rom for my device but found some rom for xolo era 4g/X it has almost identical specs of my phone so i backed up my stock rom flashed miui 8 rom which was there for xolo era x it booted fine but i faced many issues
1.audio was not working
2.wifi was not working
3.bluetooth was not working (
4.camera was not working
5.volume buttons were not working
6.most importantly it was stuck into safe mode i tried all methods but i could not able to quit safe mode
Now my question is is there is anyway to fix those and port it properly on my device,i have seen many different tutorial for porting rom on spreadrum phones but im bit of confused i need some help

Soc sc9832a 1.3ghz(8830 chipset)
Android version 6.0
Kernal version 3.10.65
