Hi,
I've been trying to install CM but I'm not able to go to recovery. This is what I've done so far:
1. Phone is LG -D620k, stock 5.0.2
2. Rooted (with NewKingrootV4.65_C134_B240)
3. Bootloader patched as per http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-m...-d618-t3127819
4. Used flashify to "flash recovery image" TWRP 2.8.7.0 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-m...-d620-t2990196
5. When I try to enter recovery mode (VOL DOWN + POWER, off when LG comes up, then VOL DOWN + POWER) I only get a screen with "Factory data reset". Selecting [No (Exit)] boots the phone. Selecting [Yes] followed by [Yes] boots the phone as well.
Any ideas, suggestions?
PS. I have also tried 2.8.6.0 and 2.8.5.0 and the result is always the same.
PS. Also tried rashr to program 3.0.0 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/unified-twrp-recovery-3-0-0-lg-g2-mini-t3311316 - with the same results.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Tomasz.
PPS. I posted this a couple of days ago in an old thread - but thought a new thread might be more visible.
You can't boot into recovery with hardware keys on the g2m afaik. You should boot your phone up, open rashr and reboot to recovery, or use adb.

If you have a custom recovery, then you can, with the hard reset hardware combination.

Look for instructions on how to perform a hard reset on the G2 Mini. If you have a custom recovery installed, then it will boot into it.

On my d620r, hardware keys combination he said in the OP can only bring up stock recovery.

So you don't have a custom recovery.
If you have installed a custom recovery then the stock recovery is wiped of your device, and thus can't be accessed.

When your phone is off, you hold the power button and vol- at the same time, untill you see the LG logo. Then immediately release and hold them again, this time until you see the factory reset menu. You confirm you want to do a factory reset, then confirm again. You'll see it will say for like a second "performing factory reset" or something like that, after which it will start Booting into TWRP. If you have adoptive storage it might take a minute or so to enter.
So, what is not working for you?

Do the steps that mobiusm said but sometimes is true that can't boot, for that before all that steps remove the battery and put it back again. If and that doesn't work then you definitely doing something very wrong.

Hey, guys. I didn't know who to ask so i decided to post the question here.
I recently rooted my HTC Evo 3D GSM and it worked fine without any problems. After that, i downloaded a Rom. Worked fine, but it was missing wi-fi. I decided to download another rom from here, used the same steps as with the previous one, but it wont let me get out of recovery mod. Whenever i press the Power Button it shows me the logo of Clockwork mod and i just don't know what to do, i'm pretty new to this stuff.
I tried to reboot and start the device again normally, but i remembered that all the data and cache was wiped. I would like to hear some advice from you guys who have experienced this or know what to do. If there are some further details that you need tell me.
See you soon!

Pull out the battery, then put it back. Press and hold Volume Down button and while holding press and hold PowerButton. You will enter "Bootloader" mode. Wait for checking. After that, navigate with VolumeUp and VolumeDown to "Recovery" and then press PowerButton once. Wait and you will enter "ClockWorkMod" Recovery. Then, WIPE EVERYTHING (system/factory reset, cache, dalvik cache). Then go "Install from SD Card", install ROM from SD Card (one you downloaded). After that - Reboot..
I hope it will help.
are you s-on?if so you'll have to manually flash the boot.img file of the new rom through fastboot

I would suggest 4ext recovery. S-on with smart flash enabled will help when manually flashing the kernel
( Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh! )
I'm pretty sure I pricked my gp4. I have everything wiped on it (no rom) and when it enters recovery mode it fails to open /etc/recovery.fstab and cannot mount any partitions. When I try to enter download mode it doesn't even go to it, it'll just reboot straight back into recovery. I'm running cmw 5.0.2.7 and have terrasilent kernel. I really need help:crying:
Flash your stock ROM. It might work.

For download mode, instead of the 3 key combo, just boot and once the device is on, hold vol- and power until the device reboot, once it reboot, let go the power button but keep holding the vol- button. This should do the trick. Then you only need to flash the stock rom wich you can find in the recoverie thread in development section.

That worked great thanks! It fixed the recovery and mount issues but now when I flash a rom it says it's successful but it only boots straight into recovery.

Do a factory reset then clear cache and in advanced wipe dalvik cache.

I did that and it still doesn't boot into a rom. Should I be running a specific rom, kernel, or completely factory restore (which I don't know how to do)?
EDIT: I got it to work, needed to fully wipe everything. Thanks for the help!
Hey guys i'm really nervous here so I need some help! I just tried installing CM10 on my phone I had rooted ahead of time using the zergrush method so I downloaded cm10 and put it on my SD Card. But once I launched now my phone is stuck at a boot loop. And I can't get to the recovery mode to reset it for some reason all it does is repowers the phone when I try it and launches the CM10 icon again.

Try to get into the downloadmode by pressing volume up + down + power button and follow here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313659) number 2.
I could be wrong of course, but it sounds like you forgot to factory reset / wipe cache.
Did you follow these steps?
1. Root
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Factory reset/wipe cache
4. Flash ROM
5. Flash Google Apps
6. Reboot
If you didn't follow those steps, it's not a big deal. Try to reboot into recovery by pressing Vol Up + Vol Down + Power like love4k21 said, and just follow the steps from number 3.

After I've got my phone back from warranty service, I've noticed that they flashed a different ROM, probably the one for Asian region, as the default language was some sort of chinese-japanese-korean. So is there a way to re-flash a different stock ROM without voiding warranty?
P.S. after I get into bootloader and manage to get into recovery mode, I can't select "apply from sd card", because as soon as I do so, it says that something is invalid and the phone reboots.
Im guessing they reflashed the ROM that was originally used with the MID for that device...even with asian variant, english language is available...factory reset the device and rerun the setup, choose english as language and give more info cid/mid/carrier etc

Alright, I've managed to install a desired ROM, but after flashing DSP manager.zip it bootlooped, so I restored my ROM back. However, that didn't do the trick as the phone says "unable to mount /data". I can boot, I see the lockscreen, but when I unlock the device, it asks me to enter decryption data password. No, I didn't set any passwords.
Tried re-flashing, wiping, nothing helped.
flash back stock recovery and do a factory reset, this will clear the encryption

Alright, I went back to recovery and restored my old stock ROM. However, decryption screen still persists, leaving me able to use lockscreen only. The problem is that this stock ROM has USB debugging off and Fast Boot on and I can't change that because of the password requirement, so I can't use ADB (debugging) or boot into recovery using keys (fast boot mode). What do I do to get into recovery? Computer recognizes the phone as a CD drive.
No restore the stock recovery and do a factory reset, not twrp or cwm...hold power and both volume up and down, itll reboot after lights flash a few times, as soon as it reboots hold power and volume down and it should go into bootloader, may take a few attempts but keep at it itll go

Wow, didn't know that Volume Up + Down + Power trick. You saved me some bucks and my nerve cells. Thank you a whole lot!
Glad you got it sorted....
I tried to install a new theme on jasmine rom. I rebooted and phone said updating app, and remained on update app for over 5 minutes. So I rebooted and the phone remained in the jasmine boot screen. I knew I had a problem so i rebooted into recovery, did a complete wipe and installed my backup and rebooted. The phone started to reboot (Lg splash screen) and then stopped. The screen went dark and my red and blue LED lights started blinking. I tried to get back into recovery manually. I was able to get to stock recovery, hit factory reset and instead of going to TWRP, it went back to the black screen and the blinking LED lights. Same results occurred when I hit safe boot.
I also tried to get in DL mode with the volume up button. Instead, the LG splashscreen came on for less than a second, the screen went black and the blinking lights came again. I tried ADB but it won't recognize my phone. Any suggestions, or is this a goner? Thanks for your help.
So to install jasmine you had to have twrp installed. Then you said you booted into recovery and the stock recovery came up and you said yes to factory reset. that scenario of booting into stock recovery and saying yes was only the first time after installing twrp. everytime after that if I choose to boot to recovery twrp screen comes up first. Confused cause I'm nut sure if this is normal behavior with some phones that have been bumped.

If you boot into recovery from the advanced reboot menu, it goes directly to TWRP. However, when you use the hard key combination, it goes to the stock recovery and when you select factory reset, it is supposed to go to TWRP. It doesn't. I have a new phone on the way.
I accidentally took the update from Verizon and when I went to install it I got the same thing. I would get the lg/android bout screen and then it would go to twrp. I tried to reboot, wipe everything and restore back up and nothing changed.
Then I found this post
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...cked-lg-g2-stuck-twrp-no-download-mode-3.html .
This saved me. When in twrp you go to the advanced tab click terminal command, then select. Just follow this directions and you might be golden.
This just worked for me and I didn't have to flash back to stock. I know this says it is for the g2, but it worked. Good luck.

So any idea what exactly went wrong here? How did a basic "theme" apparently completely bork your recovery and brick your phone??

I have no clue what happened; Verizon sent me a new phone. I don't have a clue whether this was related to the theme, or not. It may have been an unrelated hardware issue.
