Hello, yesterday I tried to make a backup but when the phone re-booted it has stucked on the LG screen...I tried to open the phone with KDZ Updater (after i downloaded the .kdz), I entered in Emergency Mode but the program is saying: "PHONE NOT FOUND". Any solution for this? Thanks
Tried shaking the phone while kdz updater tries to find the phone? Sounds stupid but worked for me

Actually just disable in Device Manager under the Modems section : LGE virtual Modem. You should have results with this .
On another set of ideas ... you made a back-up with what? Do you have Amonra's custom recovery installed ?
If you do you could just manually go into it ( Vol down + Home + Power ) and then reinstall your ROM .

1) use kdz and flashback an indian froyo 2.2(aka downgrade)and then perform zroot then do what u want.
2)head here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354 or download this and flash its a baseband fix by MIK..http://www.multiupload.com/R9CEDO2HS9 (Q: I have new baseband, how fix gsm? (you have new baseband if you upgraded your phone to official 2.3.3)

I have rolled back now to Gingerbread Stock V20B .. Now network is fine
I am thinking to get back to froyo stock rom.. Will i face the same problems again if i do so.??
Between what went wrong, why had my IMEI and network details vanished when i installed devoid-froyo-final.??
Because it does not work with the new baseband
how do you do that , i can't brick my phone
Hello everyone,
Before reading this, please be advised that I have read every topic related to this phone and tried everything (step by step) but I couldn't find any solution yet for the problem I have, so here it is:
Bought this phone one year ago and I'm very pleased about his performance. Yet, some months ago i might flash a ROW ROM version - I didn't had any clue what I'm doing - and the problems started...
Since one month, I'm flashing my phone every day trying to get it work but without success phone is Lenovo P780 CMIIT ID : 2013CP5888 - I assume it is made in 2013 and the details on the back are written in chinese.
The problem : all apps crash after installing stock rom (china version) and once the phone is off it won't boot (after repeatedly pressing the red button sometimes it starts). Every time after flashing it works for a few hours then it stops (freezes/restarts and keeps the logo picture untill I press the red button under the back cover)
My last flashing attempt (few hours ago):
Step 1. I have installed P780_S129_130710 ROM with SP flash tool
Step 2. I have installed LiFe_v07 4GB CHINESE ROM with SP flash tool
Phone is off now, I can't boot it since some hours and have left it to charge.
PS: i have all the drivers for flashing correctly installed
I'm very frustrated because i'm having the same every day and I can't seem to solve it yet. If someone would guide me through solving it I would be very happy :good::fingers-crossed:
Update:
Just flashed again the step 2 ROM, here is the SS of current ROM version

Can you flash Baralabi KitKat firmware? Or do you want JellyBean ?
Hi Stympy,
To be honest, I just want my phone to work (without any app crashes)
I would try any Roms if stable enough, I'm just tired of flashing all day

Hi @stympy,
I would like to take a moment to "Thank you !" " for all your efforts while sharing all these posts on Lenovo P780 forum.
Few days back, I faced an issue during rooting my P780 and phone went to "Charging light ON rest NOTHING" condition.
I referred numberous posts and solutions on this forum and then found a way of flashing stock ROM using SPFlashtool.
I was using Windows 10 on my laptop and SPFlashtool didn't worked well (tried v3 & v5).
The reason being, due to "Driver signature verification" as it didn't allowed to load mediatek driver.
Once I disabled it, the flashing tool work flawlessly and I was able to bring the phone back to life.
I spent around 2 days troubleshooting this issue. While searching solutions for this issue, I came across your MANY posts which were very helpful.
So, I would like to THANK YOU from bottom of my heart for being so much active while helping others on this platform.
Keep up the great work !! Have a great time ahead. !

Hi. Go to development section.
There you will find stock firmware for your phone 8 or 4 gb. Download the one you need.
After download go to q&a section on rooting tutorial for kitkat and download spflah tools 3 an 5. Those are the tools recommended for this phone. Those are modified tools for Lenovo P780. Download. Be careful to check if your NVRAM is intact. Settings/about phone. Look in IMEI area and see if your IMEI is there.
If not this is another problem to solve.
If your IMEI is lost look for my post tools for recovery IMEI.
Good luck.

No. You did not brick your phone.
You must reinstall the drivers.
Before reinstalling drivers try this: when you flash the phone you must press red small button located on the back of the phone under the back case, metal back case. Start spflash tool, load scatter file, select firmware upgrade, press download and now press the small red button for 20 seconds. Tell me what is going on.

Hello,
I recently switched to kitkat but after flashing I realised that the stock rom has too much bloatware and was practically very annoying to use (I'm looking at you, Norton and LeSave.
Now here's my problem:
I can't flash anything anymore using flashtool, it detects my phone, loads one file, but then goes down to 0bytes/0bps and it keeps hanging there untill I get an error. I tried to get a workaround by rooting and installing TWRP it but nothing works, it refuses to root.
Can anyone help me? I don't know what I did wrong and I'm afraid I messed up my partitions or something.
I just want to go back to Jellybean with a clean rom, no bloatware, preferrably rooted.
Thanks in advance,
Biscuit
Errors I get:
''BROM ERROR: S_FT_READBACK_FAIL (4009)''
Google didn't get me any further ):

You messed up everything!
Hmmm... you need a custom firmware if you want something light !
Like life 0.7 !
If you want a custom made firmware fot the chinese base but without bloatware and rooted you can try Baralajbi firmware.
Good Luck.

I have the same exact problem...
I am trying to flash Baralajbi firmware but it goes down to 0bytes/0bps and it keeps hanging there until I get an error.
How can we flash anything (as you advice) if Flash tools do not work?
Partitions are really messed up. In the recovery menu ("No command" screen with dead android ) I am trying the "apply update from sdcard" option , and it redirects me to the internal memory!
Chinese phone , tried P780_ROW_S228 rom but it is laggy and cellural reception is poor ! Gps malfunctioning also...

Hi. Try this. Retry to flash but this time when flash tool do nothing, open the back cover of your phone and keep the red button pressed for 20 seconds. When you release the button flashing process should start.
Tell me if not.
If not... Reinstall the drivers... and repeat the flashing process.

When you say "reinstall the drivers" what do you mean?

Open "Device Manager" on your Windows PC.
Plug in your phone through the micro USB cable. A device will show up for a few seconds in "Device Manager". After that, it will disappear again!
Recognize the device tree where it appeared, and wait for it as you unplug and plug in your phone again (if bootloop, its automatic!)
Catch it with a right click as it appears! Then choose "Update Drivers" and pick the directory where you uncompressed the drivers you downloaded above. Its ok if after catching it the device disconnects. You only need to install the drivers now.
Assuming the drivers are correctly installed, run the Smart Phone Flash Tool.

Hi,
i also brocked my Note 3...
After updating with SP Flash tools 1516 my phone does not show any sign of life...
I flashed the last chinese stable from xiaomi and SP flash finished with the green hook
Now the phone does not boot, the screen is black and if connected to the charger there is
no red light and i dont know if it charges at all
I can still repeat flashing the phone but to no avail. Connecting the phone to
usb while holding VOL +, Vol - and power there is "connecting and disconnecting"
sound from WIN7.
However Miflash does not recognize the phone anymore.
Could it be that there is a problem with the locked bootloader ?
I read some threads on Mi4 phones where they had to shorten some testpoints on the motherboard
to get the phone back to life, maybe there is a similar way for the Note 3?
I already did a lot of successfull flashing with other phones so i didnt expect any sort of problems....
Any help is really appreciated !!
Greetings
Joachim
Same problem here
Redmi Note 3 came with some unoffical multi language ROM preinstalled (7.00.11.00)
OTA did not work, downloading update onto the phone and updating via Update-App did not work either, so there was no other way than using SP Flashtool to get some official ROM on it
Downloaded official 7.0.19.0 and loaded it into SP Flashtool => Flashing went without any fault (green hook at the end) but phone doesnt do anything since then
You should untick the first option in flashtool (preloader). I had the same problem once. Here is a video which helped me and saved me device. Follow the instructions and you'll be ok. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3TmXtOA0IA

Thanks for sharing info but its for RN3 whereas my phone is RN3G Redmi note 3G.
Hi Folks
I just bought my girlfriend a Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate) quick back story, she received it turned it on added a pin to it got called away, when she got back to it she couldn't remember the pin, bad news is she hadn't yet turned on Developer Mode or USB Debugging.
Original SW - MIUI 7.5 android 6.0.1, at least that's what the Ali product page says (Sorry it seems I can't post a link to the actual product)
This began last Friday, since then she has tried the following:-
Installed MI Suite and registered a gmail account - so far "device not recognised"
Applied for an Unlock code.
Unlocked the boot loader which seems to have been successful.
Flashed two different (stock) ROM's which completed successfully but both stuck while booting the phone.
One was:-
"kate_global_images_6.12.29_20161228.0000.00_6.0_global" not sure what the other was.
On trying a different ROM today she's now getting the following error:-
"Can't Flash in miflash. Not enough storage is available to process this command"
Tried different versions of the Flash tool including the Beta version but still getting the same error on each of them.
Ticked the "Clear Data" box in the Mi Flash tool but that doesn't help.
A bit stuck on what to try from here and any help would be greatly appreciated if you need any more info please let me know.
I had the same bootloop problem with the stock firmware and miflash and driver was a pain to get sorted out.
What versions of miflash have you tried and which firmware did you download from xiaomi?

Hi thanks for the reply, unfortunately I need to wait for an answer on that as she's not around at the moment, but from what I can gather she has tried miuiflash 1, 2 and beta and i know she tried this which I'm assuming is a firmware - kate_global_images_6.12.29_20161228.0000.00_6.0_global (if it's not please let me know what we should be using) *edit, mind you that's one of the files that got stuck showing the out of space error.
I also forgot to mention the PC is a win 10 64bit..
Soon as I can get you a better answer on the above I'll post it.
I would have them try this version http://bigota.d.miui.com/V8.1.1.0.M...DI_20161202.0000.00_6.0_global_ac46ea44bd.tgz it's the latest fastboot ROM.
Make sure when you install miflash you are running in test mode so the drivers install properly and accept any prompts about driver signatures. That is important. I believe MiFLash_v20160401 worked for me. Also you know when you're in EDL when the front LED flashes red now and then.

Ah so it wasn't a firmware, alright I've passed this on as soon as I hear back I'll post here, many thanks.
I just checked the link for the 8.1.1.0 Firmware but it gives a 404 error on the page, I'll look on their site for an alternative, but if you do know of an alternative please let me know.
**edit Never mind a right click and copy link location got it.
So the issue looks to be solved, so firstly many thanks "theoneofgod" for your input.
Unfortunately due to a rather dodgy internet connection I haven't managed to get further into it, but here is what I received:-
"I used the same Kate and used miflash beta version.. i did the same as i did on first attempt.. after succesfully flashing it, i turned it on (result:same stuck on booting)
i switch it back to fastboot mode.
flash it.
result error.
i then press power on for about 5 seconds or till the mi logo appeared.
unplugged the USB cable and plugged it in again.
then phone booted.
and
When miflash beta version recognized my phone as just a device not com port. i flashed it. (it was just flashing endlessly)
So i tried to refresh the page, it then showed my device with an id as com10 (I have a feeling this might be the important part)
i flashed that too, and then it worked didn't get that error " no storage" anymore.
I'm not sure though if that helped
Basically I'm saying that i was flashing 1 device with two different id.
So I'm thinking simply the device refresh actually did the trick, anyway it looks to be solved, that was 3 days of no fun, and that whole thing about hey submit an application for a bootloader unlock and then wait 2 or 3 weeks and we might even refuse it lol.
Thanks again for your help "theoneofgod" thanks meter pressed.
